  I have my headphones on, listening with a high degree of attention. I know the words, so that's cheating a bit, I guess. I like hearing how folks interpret a song. That's really why I listen. I say these thoughts, and sometimes (more often than not), they get me in trouble. I can see the world through your back and side windows.

  gosh. This one hits. OK. i am speechless here (having a headache too) BUT i wanna say - I love your picking, such good playing, and the emotions in your voice. The uke sounds like a resonator uke...love it.

  These lyrics quite literally describe my family. It really hit home the first time I heard it... one of those songs Iistened to on repeat for a while. I definitely feel many of the lines! Maybe just about all of them. Takes a rare song to do that. The picking pattern is HARD to sing along with!!! The timing of some lines still aren't perfect, but not much is coming from my channel! 😂 not in pursuit of perfection, in most cases. Just want to keep learning and creating.   @piekia thanks, Joo!! This poem just started to come to me, so I had to start writing. I got excited every time (what I think is) a cool line came out. We might be of the same pack, Joo. I thought that when we both wore unique shirts to the botanical garden, almost matching, completely unplanned, and not like the crowd. Somedays, it's good to just be a wolf in wolve's clothing!!

  @twolittlewoodpeckers I have a USB mic plugged into my phone with a USB to USBC adapter, wired and hiding behind my case. I swear it... Jimi Hendrix was haunting my nose!!!

  When I was a kid, I knew this girl who was deaf. When I was a kid, sometimes people like her were institutionalized. Thankfully she was not. I would go to hang out with her and she knew it was time to listen to records. This was her favorite. Have not seen or thought about her in 40 years, but she taught me to love music. Her dad was the craziest drunk I ever knew (and from a life long punk rocker that is saying something)…I hope she is OK. Anyway- excellent add, and one that had to be here. Thanks for taking me deep into my memories.

  I kinda felt like I might've ruined the surprise for anyone visiting the first time! I remember my first time walking thru those doors and that strum felt like a little bit of magic. It still is, but that first strum hits different!

  @brianfergus839 ya got me! I've been changing this lyric and "Louie Dog" later in the song to as I've been singing it the last few days. Also, instead of "I can play the uku" I switched to "I can play the lele" because that's how my 2y/o niece used to say it 6months ago. I'm afraid she's growing too fast and probably says it right now, so I'm preserving it in song. 😁
