Featuring videos on a variety of hobbies including slot cars, RC cars and trucks, RC airplanes, and more.
We have a large Carrera Digital 132/124 slot car track that is used in many videos to demonstrate such things as slot car reviews, slot car club racing, slot car and track maintenance, track design tips, and so forth. Much of the information in videos cross brands and scales thus sometimes can apply to Scalextric, Policar, Ninco, both analog and digital, and even HO scale like AFX and Tyco.
We also have a backyard RC track where we run 1/10 scale off-road RC vehicles, predominantly Team Associated SC10 short course trucks, and buggies like the RC10 B5, B6, and RB10 and the occasional Traxxas Slash or Bandit. The RC videos feature backyard track creation and maintenance, plus product reviews, and RC club racing.

Awesome Video! Make more videos like this :)
Thank you so much this help the resistance towards the digital chip is the reason to my problem
That was a lot of tree.....🏁
Slater can’t help it. He always looks like that.
😂
Good show! Never let Mother Nature spoil your fun. Never let bicycles spoil your BBQ. Words to live by.
SO GREAT INFO YOU GIVE US. THANK YOU
Great video, thank you. It was great to see the step by step changes you made with the improvements! Very valuable.
Love you guy's
Nice video. Curious what's the width of your lanes? I'm building a track now (so much work) & am going with 9 ft lanes for 1/10 scale cars or smaller.
We try to keep it 10 feet all around but it does vary by a foot here and there.
Ever thought about setting up some cars and having ladies race them? Tournament? You'd get a million views! Just a thought 😁
this intro started like a gay porno
How much are these and get them nead everything to come with I have the PC thank you please get back with me😊
The Standard package (the one we have) includes everything you need except the PC and comes with 8 overhead track sensors, enough for 10-foot wide track, and 10 transponders. That kit is $555 US. trackmateracing.com/shop/en/r-c-lap-counter-transponder-system/122-759-rc-lap-counter.html#/126-software-free_download The Budget package is also available, comes with everything except a PC and includes 4 overhead track sensors, enough for a 5 -foot wide track, and 3 transponders. That one is $290 US. trackmateracing.com/shop/en/home/91-763-rc-lap-counter.html#/126-software-free_download
It’s just a modernized b4 🤪
Correct! The nicest thing about the update is the metric hardware. No longer need to go back and forth between imperial and metric tools.
@@johnniehobby the control arms & other suspension components look identical to the B4
0:06 hahaha I didn’t see this coming
Drink ya some more of that Bud Light Tranny fluid and let it rip.
Where have you guys been? I miss your videos
It is pretty much a can network line on a real car. That’s amazing. Have to buy one for me
Any suggestions for installing a set in da VIP section of da Club? Was going to call it sluts and slots and considering the Ho scale.
I'm looking for how the cell apps work for Scalextric digital.
Seems more like nobody knows how to handle a throttle.
Who made those custom Miller lite nascars? I need an JR Budweiser car.
Hey, really want to thank you for this video. I was sold on this buggy before doing research. Before I bought it I pulled up, figured I’d do some looking around and get some opinions. Saw your video and figured “ok, so if he’s correct about the pre upgrade comments it doesn’t look too hard to do what he suggested and get to his happy state.” First got the buggy and ran it around the house, didn’t seem too bad but limited space. Went ahead and got the pinion gear, just changed it out and holy shit! Ran it around the back yard for a quick test, shaggy lawn that needs to be mowed, it ripped pretty impressively through it. Got some new tires, added the shock spacers, will be taking it out to our track my next day off. So anyway, long winded way to a short comment: thank you very much, love this car even more than before I bought it. 👍👍
Looks outstanding. Great info! Race On!
Thanks! 👍
where can i find carrera track design software for a mac ?
I did an internet search for track planners for mac and found this: www.slottrackpro.com/download/mac-carrera-track-planner-ver-2021-001-001/
Love this track hope you show more races like this I have both of those cars its amazing how fast you make them go by trueing the tires!!
Salut my friend super car super video subscribe subscribe ...
I don't understand your results, no disrespect, just saying my experience, I've been racing slot cars on my track and club racing, plastic and wood tracks and never, ever seen rubber stock tires being faster than silicone or urethane tires. The difference is extremely different at first lap, not even need to run the time. The rubber tires makes the car dance like crazy, and urethane are more sticky and hold the car in curve way better. So I really don't get how you get better results. With or without mags, doesn't matter. ✌️
Maaan I’m glad I ran into yor vids. I almost bought a big $500 carrera digital set but realiZed there’s no simple way to run my collection of analog cars on it. But then I realized I can just swap the control tracks out but then I can only run one or the other. Trying to run em combined is a lot trickier/convoluted than I thought it would be. Carrera should just make a control track section that simply lets you switch any lane to analog from digital. No chips, no extra converters. Make it simple Carrera!
I’ve been running carrera analog cars for 15+ years and I have never used those red clips. You might clear up some confusion by stating those red clips are not required. On a completely unrelated note, I really hate the new guard rail system. The old plastic red rails using the black clips works 100x better than the new cheapo thin plastic rails using the while clips. Carrera really screwed that up.
Great review and awesome track!!!
Great tips thanks,I’m new to the hobby and love it but hate it when mirrors and spoilers fly off 😅
Nice info ,,, cool track ,,, do you ever derail under that tunnel ??? And also are you inside the crazy horse ??? How ??? Lol
I know this is off-topic, but I’m New to the problem with parts falling off leg mirrors spoilers do you bother putting them back on?
We take the mirrors and some other small parts off before putting the car on the track. We usually leave the wings on. If they start to get loose where they fall off repeatedly, we'll just glue them on if they are low-rise, like those on the Porsche 911 RSR and Corvette C7. We don't glue the ones with tall supports (like the Ferrari 458 and 488) because then the supports will break instead of the entire assembly simply falling off. So cars with the taller wings we'll usually just run without them.
Can you use this setup with RC drag racing, Thanks nice work on the track
Will evolution bodies fit digital chassis? I messed up my digital 911 RSR body and want to replace the body only. I figure the most inexpensive way is to get the identical car in evolution and swop out the body. BTW, great channel.
Absolutely! We've done the same plenty of times.
Adjust the braking.
This video is so essential.
Great video as always! Great info! Nice one on the Christine and BB moments! Never seen an Inner space reference before, Bravo! For the fueling with the blinking lights method. Will that work the same way when using the Smart Racing App? I have not tried that yet. I do very much like the alternate pit lane method. Really works well with no smart app. Thanks, your channel is outstanding! Race On!
The blinking light pitting method should work the same whether using Smart Race or not. At least with the racing app we use (HSSRMS), it works both ways.
@@johnniehobby Thank you for info.
I joined multiple tables with loose-pin door hinges. Self-aligning
Good idea. Solid connection but quick and easy to disassemble. I like it.
Great video as always! I just purchased the Carrera Peak Performance 30027 set and would like to add a left switch back on the back straight before entering the right hander onto the front straight. Any suggestions greaty appreciated. Love your vids wish you did more.
That set already has a right-to-left lane changer on the back stretch, correct? Unless, I'm misunderstanding your question.
I should also mention I am adding 4 std straights to each of the front and back straight (8 in total) to allow adding a pit lane with 1 extension on the front straight. Thank you.@johnniehobby
I’d like to win please and Thankyou
Hi, I'm thinking about purchasing a Carrera Evolution set. Can you race the Sideways branded cars on the Carrera set?
Yes. Analog cars from other manufacturers can run on other brands of analog tracks. Sometimes changing the guide blade is necessary depending on the depth of the slot of the track, however.
HI Johnny, I forgot how to change the brightness of the Startlight top red 'Carrera' light. I have read it somewhere and changed the brightness before but cannot find how to in the Startlight instructions or the other manuals. I know you can do it but just ol' plain forgot - PLEASE remind me....? Great videos as usual!!!
Sorry, I'm not familiar with the startlight. I downloaded the manual for it, and also for the CU and nothing is mentioned in either about changing the brightness of the lights.
OMG!!!!😱 Salami got a haircut! - Did he get a new gf, a job working in a 'Woke' Office or is he running for State Governor? 🤣
LOL "Morons"
Very helpful, thanks!!
Unboxing mit verrosteten Schrauben ist lächerlich!
Good stuff.I learnt alot
Great info. I just subscribed. 👍👍👍👍
I just had the red No. 14 in my cart a week ago. Those are some damn respectable numbers on that track.
