Hi mate, bit off this topic. Did Toyota leave the plastic radiator protector on when they did the bull bar or add a steel one ? I just put a TJM bullbar on mine and noticed the factory radiator protector is just flimsy plastic, a rock or stump would destroy the radiator base, I've ordered a steel protection plate. I followed your earlier advice and put a gsl guard on rear locker actuator. Cheers
Bro Novak here I reckon you did a pretty good job for DIY especially that you usually don't do wiring it looks great 👍🏽
Cheers bro, I enjoyed installing it. So far it's been a great system.
I had Maxxis Buckshot m/t on my BT50 when I brought it pretty worn down and noisy just got a set of Mickey Thompson Baja legend exp so much better than what I had and quiet time to go bush in NZ
I heard the new one is the walk past model. You walk past it and keep going You'll never see a farmer with one of those This will be the Toyota that lets them stand down. And I love toyota's
I've done 45,000 km with it mainly for remote cattle station work, love it. Glad to be back in another v8.
Nice vid bro. I’ve got the same box and battery (without the charger though as I had a red arc) and I got a Victron shunt to monitor battery (as the display is only volts which isn’t accurate), the shunt is a very good bit of kit. It can be mounted inside the lid of the box, just take the divider out and create some space, and divider should screw back on. Cheers !
Cheers mate, yeah I'll see how I go for now, may add something like that down the track.
Great video mate, you’ve confirmed this is the exact setup I’m going to get!! Bloody love it
Much appreciated mate, thankyou. I'm stoked with the set-up so far! I'm sure it'll work for you.
Mate, awesome job and explanation. Sure you weren't a sparky in a previous life?! I've got a dual (under bonnet) system, but next fourby is gonna have a setup just like yours. Great stuff again. Really enjoying all your vids mate. Thanks. 👍👏🍻
Haha thanks mate! Yeah I've had under bonnet systems before, they worked fine, but I'm really determined to leave the engine bay as factory as possible. It doesn't take much to have that under bonnet area clogged up with mods! And this way it's all in one area, neat and clean.
Looking good. I agree those rib nuts are excellent
Cheers mate 👍
Awesome job mate 👍👍
Thanks mate 🤝
I like it that will make work and life a lot easier thanks for sharing
Bloody oath mate, im really loving the set-up already, cheers!
I'm a fan of rivnuts. Good one mate. A worthwhile upgrades to your setup. Looking good. 👍
I absolutely love em aye, never used them before so it's like I've found fire for the first time haha, cheers mate.
@@OutbackOffroadNT Haha! That's a great analogy. 😁
🤣🔥
Well for a unqualified Sparky 😜 that was a pretty good install Brother Beat job. Well explained. Looks like a solid bit of kit hey. Don’t see any reason why it won’t be perfect for your set up. Good job Brother. Great vid 👌
Neat job
Thank you, big fella! Yeah I'm stoked with it hey, could possibly need a bigger battery down the line. But for now I reckon she'll be spot on! Cheers legend keep up the great work with your vids to mate 🤝
Gday, pretty flash setup now, I like you’ve keep it a basic system, top job
Cheers mate, yep I like everything to be relatively basic! I'm really happy with it, proper flash for me! 🤣
job, looks great, the blade line fuse will do the job
Cheers mate, I reckon she'll be right to.
Nice.
🤝
Good video mate, I couldn't hear the clutch noise you made reference to? Was the clutch slipping or was it difficult to shift gears etc?
Slipping a little, also bearing was on the way out, I forget which.
Looks like a pretty good set up and looks professional and tidy
Cheers mate.
Well, that’s a bloody lot easer than I thought! Thanks good info that I’ll use in the near future. How’s the Torqit exhaust working out for you?
No worries mate, happy with the exhaust, no where near as loud as my old 2008 79, but I like it.
Hi matey I use there jump start pack I can jump V8 petrol or diesel works a treat
Beauty mate 👌
Good work mate. Is your UHF and battery cable running the same side. Just check any interference due to high current. If any you can alway move battery link cable to front of the car Thanks for your video.
Same side mate I'll have to wait and see how it goes, thanks 🤝
Great Video. Looks easy to set up and install. I like the idea of a removable battery pack. Hope to see you using it in a future episode.
Yeah I've wanted to go the battery box route for a long time, so versatile. You'll see it in use very soon!
Legend, really appreciate it!!
No worries mate 👍
Well done mate!
Thank you, mate!
Great video brother once again. Are there crocodiles where you camped?
No crocs this far south in Central Aus mate, they are up the top end. Thankyou mate 👍
Well done an absolute belter of a setup mate👍👍👍 How's your XTM draw fridge holding up? im thinking about buying one myself.
Yeah I'm stoked hey! I've only just installed and been using the fridge for roughly a week, happy as so far but we'll see.
Looks good mate. Great job
Thanks 👍
What your thoughts on the drawer fridge style mate? I'm thinking of getting one in the future when I change up storage system.
Love it so far, but it's fresh so I'll run it for a bit and we'll see mate.
I like the back tray style 2.5m long tray, that standard plywood sheet can fit in.
Truck looks awesome, what size rims and tyres you running?
Cheers, 285/75/16 on 16x8 rims.
Love it mate! you guys have inspired me to take it on later in the year. Bit less water I guess but still awesome. Can a beginner do it if you have a high clearance 4wd with recovery gear etc and and a support vehicle you think?
Mate that is great to hear, so glad we've inspired you to have a crack! Look I'd have to say it would be wise to do it with some experience, is the other person in the support vehicle experienced at all? It's not a terribly difficult track, however knowing when and how to use hi 4 and low 4 for example is important, Boggy sand and water crossings etc...
Perfect timing fella. We just finished crossing the Simmo and are now in Alice. Doing this track in 3 days time. Cheers
Oh beautiful mate, you will have a great time out there! Might see ya out on the tracks somewhere. 🤝
I agree with you mate for the price of that exhaust you'd expect perfection. still looks and sounds great none the less
Yeah definitely mate, overall I am happy with it.
Great vid mate. Do you get any rub with the 285s and no lift?
Cheers mate, she's all good no dramas 👍
Great video guys
Thanks mate.
Wind the windows down and push the top of the window frame in its an old dealer trick to stop wind noise around the window frame
Release bearing needs replacement
Cracking ep mate, you nailed the "gangster" drone shot! I have been through the centre a couple of times, but we are yet to do that track. Thanks for taking us along.
Haha thanks mate, it's definitely a top spot to check out! Amazing country through there.
What a spectacular place! I’ll say this though, your videos are getting better and better mate. Keep up the good work, you’re a real one bro 🤙🏻
Cheers mate, always trying to elevate and do better, implement different strategies, learning lots! 👍
Wish I could pick some snacks that looked so good.
Such a simple video of you using your truck and going to work. Showcasing your Land Cruiser like this is great!
Cheers mate, it's a great work horse.
