The reason for that was, that I still need a letter of recommendation from an established music organisation in the UK to get my GT visa. And I thought, "Oldest venue in the UK - yeah, they're well established". But I think I dismissed them, because I don't think they would do me that favour, even if I would made a donation, because they don't know me and maybe they think I'm a scammer (sigh) - But anyway, thanks, really awesome video!

I genuinely believe they want to see people sleeping in shop doorways so they can screw more money out of the government, which in turn, will get used on such idiotic ventures as diversity training for lollipop ladies. Any councillor care to comment?
@northernintrovertАй бұрын
I don't know a lot about Bradford council but they've been on the brink of bankruptcy for some time. Less money flowing in from Westminster and massive overspending. They've just received a £220m bailout to avoid going under but that's a debt that will have to be paid back (with interest), not to mention they're reportedly trying to cut £40m of spending so if they weren't able to support their residents before, I really don't see how they will be able to now unfortunately. It's not great.
@sisyphussapprentice8976Ай бұрын
@@northernintrovert Just a vicious circle. The taxpayer footing the bill whichever way the handle turns. Funny how the "government" can print money in order to lock us in our homes for 2 years, yet can't have a similar plan to ease the housing crisis. But what do I know?
@northernintrovertАй бұрын
I'll be honest I'm not well educated on it all but it does seem that Bradford and a lot of similar cities/towns got largely abandoned once they lost their industries and the government redirected it's attention to wherever the new money was aka not here.

@@northernintrovert That area is a long way off what it was in the 70s and 80s houses down there start at 300k plus.
Ahh ok. I would've been tempted to head over there to check some of the abandoned venues out but if it's all long gone maybe not!
@@northernintrovert Theres still plenty interesting and abandoned places, in and around Newcastle. Just not so much down the coast.
I'll have a look, I'm mainly trying to find music stories / venues for now but I'm sure there'll be something there.
bradford ..the Gazza of Uk !
how do you mean?
@@northernintrovert ruined .
As in Paul Gascoigne? Strange opinion.
So why of why don't these useless bloody councils open up these derelict building for the homeless? As you said in the video, it has showers already installed. I genuinely believe they want to see people sleeping in shop doorways so they can screw more money out of the government, which in turn, will get used on such idiotic ventures as diversity training for lollipop ladies. Any councillor care to comment?
I don't know a lot about Bradford council but they've been on the brink of bankruptcy for some time. Less money flowing in from Westminster and massive overspending. They've just received a £220m bailout to avoid going under but that's a debt that will have to be paid back (with interest), not to mention they're reportedly trying to cut £40m of spending so if they weren't able to support their residents before, I really don't see how they will be able to now unfortunately. It's not great.
@@northernintrovert Just a vicious circle. The taxpayer footing the bill whichever way the handle turns. Funny how the "government" can print money in order to lock us in our homes for 2 years, yet can't have a similar plan to ease the housing crisis. But what do I know?
I'll be honest I'm not well educated on it all but it does seem that Bradford and a lot of similar cities/towns got largely abandoned once they lost their industries and the government redirected it's attention to wherever the new money was aka not here.
shithole
This use to be a fantastic city, now the council have driven it into the ground,,,,,,
The council were almost bankrupt earlier this year too until they were bailed out (adding to their debt of course). Seems like a huge mess.
Ohhh the council.....ohhhhh I seeeee the council....anything else maybe??????
Something you want to say Dave?

Hey Jack, I listened to "Red Eye" today again. :)
Hey again! That's so awesome that you still listen to it, thank you so much :D you inspired me to listen again just now, I still like it hah. I hope you're well :)))
@@northernintrovert @northernintrovert Some of your songs are on my hard drive and some of them in playlists like "My Town" (Instrumental Mix) or Shamanix - Synesthesia - it's not like I come back to these every day, but every few months when I listen I check out if you have something new going on. :) I'm really well (life isn't perfect, but far more things going right than wrong) and I hope you, too. ♥ You're one of the few people where I have the bell activated.
That’s awesome! I wondered if you would like the newer styles or not. I have a new song coming soon, it’s quite different to shamanix but there is still a trance feel in there :) so glad to hear you’re good 💚 it sounds like your life has a healthy balance. Thanks for bell too! I’m practicing vlogs at the moment, I want to share some stories about music. The first few might not be great quality though while I learn 😄
@@northernintrovert Well, I personally like pad-heavy or aggressive sounds and tracks like trance/psy/synthwave etc more than technical, minimalistic, wooden sounding electro/house style. If you know what I mean 😂😂 Not my native language and i dont know all that much music vocabulary. But that's just my personal taste. :)
I know exactly what you mean actually! It’s a good choice of words 😄
😂😂
