    I like it but imo, a bunch of those sounds would be muffled. So you could muffle the sounds of the Titanic as it sinks further

    Okay- a simple note about physics. Ships sinking in deep water do NOT sink pointing downwards. As soon as they are deep enough that the water pressure compresses any air out of the hull or into far too small a space to provide significant buoyancy, ships RIGHT themselves with their ballasted bottom on the bottom, and they generally sink either fairly level, or SLIGHTLY inclined if they have a broken area of maximum drag. For example, the bow 2/3rds of titanic had a broken off end and the tapered bow, because of that, once full of water she sank with the bow down about 15 degrees. This angle caused her to plane off about a quarter mile away from the spot where she broke up on the surface. Hitting the bottom moving laterally, and buckling the bow, with the rest of the forward section fairly gently settling down. The stern sank nearly stern up… but again, once full of water, the stern righted itself bottom down and sank almost exactly dead level. Although the stern was tapered, it had a large round shape that increased drag as she sank, and she had the enormous weight of her engines that prevented drag from causing the aft section to sink stern first. She hit the bottom nearly exactly level. You can tell because the compression of the water inside with the impacts force blew her side plating outwards. When an oblong object is falling thru a fluid, it does NOT tend to fall oriented for the Lowest drag- it tends to fall oriented for the highest drag. Like, drop a penny from a skyscraper- it will mostly fall oriented flat. Occasionally flipping over, only to stabilize flat on the opposite side. Similarly, a space capsule is more stable entering blunt end first than pointy end first. A more interesting animation might show the stern gradually tipping back level under the surface as it sank. Only when water is shallow, or the ship has a very unusual ballast do they fail to right themselves. Almost all capsized wrecks on the bottom are found in shallow water. But in deep water, even ships that capsized while sinking, are found upright and level On the bottom. As a kid I used to build plastic model ships and I would ballast them so they floated correctly in our pool. Occasionally I would make a hole in them and watch them sink, like a real ship, often capsizing or tipping bow or stern up depending on how they flooded. But every time, after they went fully under, they would right themselves as they sank and come to rest upright o the bottom.

    Very well done, this is pure artwork. We only see in Titanic 1997 a short glimpse of the titanic going under the water as Jack trys to keep a hold of Rose during the suction from the ship. A century over we still feel for everyone who never made it that night.😢❤

    great animation! The stern went down at what, 50 mph or so? Imagine the thunderous sound coming from the blackness of it hitting the ocean floor if you were somehow able to be there.

  • @lukestantz12
    @lukestantz1210 күн бұрын

    Stern was going just a tad bit slower than the bow which was going about 35 mph, so probably around 30 ish. It also went into a spiral so it most likely hit and then slid on the bottom.
