There is one problem with ( burn ward patient ) that is if your using ( extra trait effects ) mod it makes this trait even more punishing by making you unable to use any fire hazard weapon like Molotov or making campfire to burn a horde and if I was a member correctly it also gives you stress when you near a fire ( I don’t know last time I played this game was 2 months ago)

They still scare me, but I go Rick grimes and just axe a whole hoard of 200+. But I use mods so using drugs like “speed” and “cocaine” brings my endurance back up so I can keep fighting. I’ve once had a character fight a hoard for 4 in game days straight. If overdosing was a feature, I’d would’ve been dead But no for real, hoards at first glance are very intimidating. But when you have 7+ strength and 7+ on any weapon class, it’s too easy, I just one tap them, and I play on max zombie toughness

IMO, barricading windows/doors with anything is pointless. Zeds are drawn to any structure that a player builds, so it's only a matter of time before it gets destroyed. Parking a vehicle in front may be the only solution, but that won't stop crawlers.
@DefNotARaccoon-bf3jpКүн бұрын
This is going to sound dumb and I have less than 10 hours playtime at max, but couldn't you build a fence or something where your character was to prevent crawling? With the cars in the outside of the fence, they might not even be able to damage the fence because of the cars, too.

Anyone have any recommendations for Rally Group Size and Rally Group Radius? I want stealth to still be viable. If Rally Group Size is low, then all zombies are spread out, making stealth nigh impossible (because of line of sight) If Rally Group Radius is too high, then same issue as above. Individual members of groups will be too spread out If those settings are vice versa, then you get very unorganic "clumps" of zombies all huddled together. Might be fun to fight, but very unimmersive. There is definitely a Goldilocks zone, so to speak. And I am sure its different for people with different playstyles. Some might rather fight giant groups of zombies. Others might enjoy a massive sea of zombies spread apart, making retreat very difficult.
i would not recommend the fence :D I like to combine moaning salvation with the molotov mayhem. If firespread is on, I don´t think fire is easy to handle :D

Fun fact:this USED to be true where cars were a unpassable barrier for zombies. At some point during b41's update cycle, they made a change for zombies to climb under cars if no other path could be found. Its still possible to revert zombies back to not crawling under cars in the sandbox settings but any zombie crawlers will still path under the cars

Unless you have zombies set to sprinters, all you have to do is backpeddle and swing. For melee, that's it. If they get too close you'll push instead of swing, you can also use shove to often knock them down. Once you understand this concept, you just have to master leading them in a big circle while doing the backpeddle and swing, and you have now mastered hoard management as well.

actually, zombies are attracted to players' constructions, so an effective way to defend your home is to barricade the windows from inside, cuz this way there's gonna be a "game constructed window" outside and they are not gonna be attracted to it, unless if you are spoted by them.

I never saw the hordes as the biggest threat, outside of a sudden helicopter event. Normal hordes are largely static, and fairly predictable. That all changes when helicopter event arrives - even if you are undetected, it leaves massive groups travelling, chasing the sound - and if the heli spots you... well... you are in trouble. With that in mind, it is the single zombies I find the most dangerous - this one sneaky shambler you least expect, and your own lack of awareness. When you are dealing with a horde, you know what you are getting yourself into, no problem, you know to be on constant alert. But when you grow complacent... So in my longest run to date I survived for nearly a year - just passed my first winter. I had a decent, nearly self-sufficient base in Rosewood, at the Gated Community there. So, the time came that I decided to do a run for canned good and ammo. I jumped into my van drove off. I was well prepared, with water, food, heavily protected gear, several baseball bats, you name it. The run was a great success - got a ton of loot. On my way back I stumbled upon a group of zombies blocking the road, and I decided to dispatch them, I did not want them to bang on the van. A group was easy to deal with. So I go back to my van, I'm about to open the door and I hear "crunch". A cheeky bastard shambled right behind my van, out of view. I didn't see him nor hear him. Bit my hand. The only place, besides the neck that did not sport a full 100% bite protection. That is the biggest threat in my opinion - your own complacency.

I don’t know about you guys but I would wait until 2025 if it must I don’t want a cod 2023 situation the game is still amazing and has a lot of mods to spice up the gameplay and if i got burnout I have other games to play until the update comes out

It's funny because Modders already added all the features the devs promised for free and made them way before B42 was even announced. Lets not forget that time it took an entire year to fix the sewing needle spawn rate.
