    Mat & futon =/= sleeping on the floor. You’re still technically sleeping on padding. It’s simply much lower profile than a mattress (with or without a box spring). I went cold turkey years back-threw out the mattress and slept directly on cold hardwood flooring. The cold felt great. Currently I sleep on an IKEA flat woven rug with a pillow because it matches my room decor better. Plus I didn’t want to throw out the rug I already had.

    So using a very thin futon mattress sleeping on the floor compared to just the average cheap spring mattress doing the same no difference to me at all used the mattress on the floor for 8 years these past approx just over a month switched to the futon thin mattress ( maybe 3" thick) sure I can feel the floor when my 188cm 104-5 Kg ( 6'2" 235Lb) body gets on it but once I am laying down now difference at all waking up feel the same as before if I was to tell people to sleep on the floor just put your bed mattress on the floor it's pretty much the same thing ;) ,I still get my average of 6 hours broken sleep either way it is much easier to flip the mattress around through hehe

    When our whole-house AC went out during a heat wave, I took a window-unit from my garage workshop and put it in the living room window. My wife took the couch and I slept on I the floor, atop a sleeping bag. After a week, I learned that I loved it. No back or neck pains. My wife tried it and hated it, though. Worse, floor sleeping made snuggling (and snuggling++) difficult on her, and she's athletic. So, no mattress meant no nookie. So I thanked God when the repairmen fixed the AC!

Each handle = 5 pounds 1 Handle with both adder weights = 10 pounds then in POUNDS: 15, 17.5, 20, 25, 27.5, 30, 35, 37.5, 40, 45, 47.5, 50 YOU WILL LEARN, I WILL TEACH YOU . . .

    Using pronated grip on full motion (all the way up) pull-ups is a tendon killer if you're 35+. It is actually a super awkward movement though if you're young maybe it doesn't seem so. I finally figured that out after getting horrendous tendonitis trying to build lats and used neutral grip and it goes away. Though it is considered heresy by the full motion purists, now I've come to think partial pull-ups are actually better for isolating lats anyway, which makes grip less important depending on how many pull-ups you do.

    Tennis elbow is caused by a strain to tendons in the forearm. So you need to rest, stretch and strengthen them. Nothing to do with biceps mate.

  • @BarRookie
    @BarRookie9 күн бұрын

    Bro, you're mixing things up, I'm talking about biceps for golfers elbow. The main thing is that your forearms get overworked because the bicep is not doing its job, especially when you get injured because of training.

  • @giovannisoave9634
    @giovannisoave96349 күн бұрын

    @@BarRookie If you have any sources that show weak biceps can lead to overuse of forearm muscles, I'd like to read them. Otherwise you really should not be giving medial advice.

  • @BarRookie
    @BarRookie8 күн бұрын

    I'm not giving medical advice my friend, I'm mainly sharing my experience. The reason for that is because I went through it. I know the feeling that some people have where they go to medically trained professionals only to be given genereic solutions to their problems. I just want to come from the perspective of fellow gymbro. I don't have any refernce material, just my own experience of what worked and didn't work. Hope that helps getting things into perspective.

    What helped me get rid of my golfer's elbow after 5 years and many many attempts. IASTM tool and massage gun to really get deep into the muscles. Chin and pullups with feet on the floor, many reps, different grips, really get a good pump going. Eating cartilege, collagen etc

  • @BarRookie

    I should add that my injury was from work related overuse. Not gym. Yes, just go deep with the IASTM, i was grimasing from tge pain. High rep continuing until the burn gets too painful. Less use of screens etc. Coincidence perhaps but happened same time as i was eating nattokinase and serrapeptase supplements

    I recently "upgraded" my full rack to a half rack and I really like it. It's nice to be able to remove the safety bars and have a very compact footprint, but when you lift it's just as stable. I also use monolift attachments and it's nice having more space outside the rack.

    Have you ever tried grounding/earthing? I find that it improves my sleep - along with floor sleeping Walking on somewhat rough terrain with bare feet seems to do something magical I think it puts the right kind of pressure on the bottom of the feet - like a massage After walking barefoot my feet have a lingering tinckling sensation (which reminds me of the lingering feeling after cold shower/sea exposure). Beware that walking barefoot can take some getting used to - since our feet have probably gone our whole lives without feeling any real pressure from the ground + the muscles and everything needs to get used to this. So go easy in the beginning

    Thank you for your review! I'm almost buying the Powerblock Sport EXP 50 because, well, I like the size of these dumbbells, their increment range, and the fact that can be expanded (since I'm probably years away of doing more than 22.7 kg in each hand. I'm struggling though to understand the range , which I would like to because I do a lot of exercises with weights between 4 and 10 Kg. Officially we have this in this dumbbells: 1.1 2.2 3,4 | 4,5 6,8 | 7,9 | 9 | 11,3 | 12,5 | 13,6 | 15,8 | 17 | 18,1 | 20,4 | 21,5 | 22,7 kg Now the thing is, the selector goes 30/40/50 pounds (13.6/18.1/22.7 Kg), and each of the cylindrical weights are 1.1 Kg each. But I'm struggling to understand how can we achieve some ranges. I assume without the selector and the cylinders, the powerblock itself weighs 1.1 Kg, and then it goes to 3.4 kg with the cylinders. But then, how does it go up to 4.5, 6.8, or anything else between that and 11.3, until we use the selector?
