  I have one, SN272nnnn, from 1942, I believe. A very nice L39 lens which plays well with an M9. It has solid color in the Sonnar style but not too contrasty which tames the M9 a bit. A nice combo. CZJ made good lenses and some of the FSU KMZ Jupiters are good, too. I have a very nice Jupiter 8. Sonnars are nice lenses. The Sonnars all work well on an X2D, too, covering the entire sensor.

  thanks for your video! i just got Jupiter-12 and this lens is amazing! but it seems so me that they are all bit different, my version is from 1971 and has kind of more vivid colors and more blur ... it's a lottery ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ cheers

  お忙しいところ返信ありがとうございます。 古いレンズを使う身としては中国製のヘリコイドも安価で便利なのですが、格好良いヘリコイドも気になりますね。 これからも動画楽しみにしています。

  一般的には改良版である外爪がお勧めされてますね。レンズの重さに対して内爪だとマウントの強度が心配だったそうです。私はどちらでもよいのではないかと思ってます。

  where does this lens fit into your collection, and how does it rank? i have the 50mm f1.8 and the 28mm f2.8 so i'm not really sure what the appeal is other than the shape of the bokeh stars. tyvm for the video!

  I have 105 2.5, it's just amazing glass for nikon. But in Russia it is VERY difficult to find Komura for sale. They have unreal color and bokeh

  Not very impressive image wise for such a highly touted lens. The lowly Chinon 55mm f1.7 could outdo this Kern lens.

  My favourite Japanese fast Sonnar type lens and I prefer this one to the Nikkor 5cm f1.4 lens.

  I can add that the Canon 50mm 1.5 has a smoother Bokeh that the Nikkor one, even if they are both Zeiss Sonnar copies ;)

  I love this lens, got it in M42 and Contax/Kiev mount and a brand new 1992 black one in LTM..this one was way off from the factory and had to heavily shim it to focus properly on my Zorki 4.

  Great all around lens, only the 5cm f1.8 Topcor in LTM could equal or beat this Canon lens.

  I got the late made black band Nikkor 5cm f1.4 lens in LTM, very nice lens and lighter in weight than your # 319282 Tokyo version.
