  @@Relock-io2sc you can quite literally take the bin of a digital model and flash it over a disk model with a broken drive to convert it and it works just fine.

  It’s usually when the console is left in standby or is updating and the power goes out / it’s unplugged.

  @@Mobileithelp same issue happened to me today as my home inverter went off for few seconds. The console was giving 3 beeps whenever i plugged it in. I’ve read somewhere on the reddit to turn off your hdmi cec on the tv. Did it and somehow it worked! Still not sure how the hdmi cec is related to the bios file getting corrupted. Hope this helps anyone having this issue.

  @@user-vz9dg1dl9l it’s a 2018 iPad, the 6th I think it’s called. The clue is the A10 CPU, it was only used in iPad 6 and 7, the 8th gen uses an A12 cpu. What’s the issue with yours exactly ?, as the 7th onwards suffer badly from bad CPU’s.

  @@Mobileithelp another of things but currently thr issue it's suffering from is a no power that happen due to my error of the metal separator got between the battery & the battery connector so I have shorts everywhere at the moment

  @@user-vz9dg1dl9l if you remove the mosfet you can isolate batt vcc from vcc main so you can see which side it’s on. If you don’t have zxwtools you can download phoneboard which is free and shows you what is connected to what.

  Hi no it stays the same. It usually does it if it’s updating and turns off or doing something important in sleep mode and looses power.

  @@Mobileithelp hey.I finally got it fixed but there’s another issue now.anytime i start a game the fan makes way more noise than it ever has in the 3 years ive had it.following the noise it tells me the temp is too hot and to turn off the ps5.idk if the repair shop replaced the faulty part with something cheap or whatever it is but it definitely feels like a scam cause the ps5 has never done this before

  Hi yes you can change just the port if you can find one that is similar to the original. At a push you could replace the port on the keyboard and the jack on the plug if not so they match. As long as the port hasn’t been damaged I can probably remove the broken bit under the microscope. If you wanted to send me the board and charger in the post I can fix it if you didn’t want to try it. To open it up you just remove all the screws in the bottom (around 30 of them) and the top lifts off. (Just one plug that goes into the circuit board)

  I ran into a console today showing the same symptoms, namely three beeps when plugged in and no other signs of life. I hooked it up to UART and pulled the codes. After clearing the codes, the issue seemingly went away. I confirmed through partial reassembly that the console was working normally. Clearing the UART error log is a bit easier than flashing the BIOS, so I'm putting this information out there in case its another fix for the same problem. Take care.

  @@Shanno-B solder to the uart pinout I presume. Tbh it’s easy enough with a bios clip programmer. I don’t unsolder anything now, just clip the programmer onto the chip and flash it and you’re done. No soldering needed

  Hey bro, can you explain more , i have got esp2023 full set, can this do UART? And did you use ps5 nor modifier to clear the code? I mean is it just clearing code error or it fix the actual code address? Some vids say just reflash it? Or can i flash another bios BIN from website? I just need clarification of misunderstanding i got confused with many vids ?

  @@Relock-io2sc you can just flash another bin file no problem. Tbh I find it easier to use a bios clip programmer to flash the bios chip directly than mess around soldering wires to do it via uart.

  It’s just flux from soldering, obviously it’s all removed once the port is soldered into place.

  From all the scratches around the hdmi port I would say that the console is getting plugged and unplugged a lot. Probably taking it from house to house constantly I imagine. I see quite a lot like this with lots of scratches around the port.

  I did exactly what you see in the video, I didn’t change any of the chips at all as the chips are fine, all that causes it is a corrupted bios, so all you need to do is plug the programmer clip into the bio chip and reprogram it with the programmer. That’s pretty much all that is involved.

Well technically you can flash a digital edition onto one with a drive and it’ll convert it to a digital edition, so the drive won’t work any more. You can’t put a drive edition onto a digital edition though as it won’t update as it’ll try to connect to the drive that doesn’t exist and fail.

  Xbox Series X - zero current draw Xbox Series X turning on and off. I have tested everything else and finally came around to injecting 1V to this power connector. Zero current draw is seen. I slowly increased voltage till 12V and still there was no current draw. At 12V, for a split second when I inject voltage, current draw goes to 0.030 a 0.050A and then goes back to zero. Any suggestions? Also, 12V Gated on southbridge board shows OL in diode mode, is that normal, mate?

  @@user-nb3xk2kr2z yes you can, that’s what I do. The clip is a pain to get in the correct position though, so I tend to press ‘detect chip’ , if it keeps saying ‘no chip detected’ I keep moving it around until it eventually detects it, as the clip isn’t well known for working that great, but eventually once in the correct position it reads it. It’s easier than removing it though.

  Open it up and unplug the power supply from the board. If you then plug it into the wall and measure the output you should be getting 12v from the power supply. Then check the connectors on the board where it plugs into to see if there are any shorts to ground. Then if it is shorted connector a desktop power supply to the positive rail and ground and inject 1volt and then feel around on the board for what’s getting hot.

  I think about 4-5 pads had lifted when I looked at it through the scope, but because I applied loads of low melt solder paste to it then pressed down first before removing it they seemed to not get ripped off when taking it off.

  I was going to use hot glue around the edge of the port, but then thought that it’s probably not a good idea as it may get into the port or making removing the housing hard to do afterwards. Other than replacing the housing, which the customer didn’t want to do, I don’t think there’s an awful lot you can do. The port is usually quite loose in the case anyway, so I’m not sure how much strain relief it would offer anyway, as usually if it’s moving to the extent that it’s touching the plastic it’s already damaged the port anyway as the anchors etc don’t allow much movement.

  Many people use the console on its end, but it doesn’t balance very well on its end and tends to fall over, which damages the port. Either that or they take the console to friends houses to play, so are constantly unplugging the console when moving it.
