    37:40 Oh I'd never called this synth to give Vintage sounds. I think it's Retro-Futuristic, and it can still find it's way in the new genres of music, while it's biggest competitor and predecesor Model D can sound fat, classic and vintage'y but I think everything that we could get out of that synth we already got.

    Stop saying meedy meedie meaty, it's midi, your videos are helpful but the way you choose your words sucks and make leaning harder. Just say the actual name of what your talking about. Not just go here or to there on this over that way here move that,..... what?

  • @XNBeatsMusic
    @XNBeatsMusic21 сағат бұрын

    They are very different, it depends on your needs. If you want portable and fast, but with a lot less functionality, then SP-400. The MPC is bigger, but more straight to the point.It has a lot more functions, it's a DAW practically. If you play live, 404, quicker to learn and operate. If you work at home, producing and so on, I would go for the MPC. You do your work off the DAW, and then export the stems to finish the product.

    Great vid. This vs machine mk3 or ableton push?

  • @XNBeatsMusic
    @XNBeatsMusicКүн бұрын

    Thanks for the comment !!! Tough question, they are all super complete but really different. I love Maschine because I can use whatever plugin and I love the workflow, I love MPC because you don't need plugins and you can do it all just with the hardware. And PUSH is basically Ableton. I would say if you love the DAW, I mean access to plugins, synths....and you don't care about the need for a PC, go for Maschine or Push. NI is about to release Maschine 3.0. I you want to separate yourself from the DAW completely, go for MPC. I mean, I have all three and I use them. If you can get and MPC, get a used Maschine or Push 2 and give it a go. You can always sell them if you don't like the workflow.

    @@XNBeatsMusic thx for ur inputs. U mean Maschine 4.0? Its v3.0 is out now right? That's why i hesitate for now, looks like NI is releasing a new maschine, the current being 4-yr+ old and the new S series doesn't hv the maschine connectivity. Thx again

    I don't think anyone on the planet knows the ins and outs of this keyboard as well as you do. You use it in a way that you can accomplish anything with just this Keystep 37. I just bought one and I am having a hell of time figuring out the best way to set this up with Logic Po X. I'm blown away by all you know regarding this keyboard. I agree with @kayahanli. Arturia support for a new user is terrible but they make great products. They assume everyone knows how to set this up even if you never used a midi controller. Would love if you could do a tutorial on setting up with Logic Pro. Thank you.

    Hello! Is it dangerous if the Keystep 37 is powered by DC 12V 1.5A together with the USB power supply from the computer? Has anyone tried? Normally with DC 12V it should be powered in standalone mode. BUT how else can you connect the controller with CV/Gate, with Midi DIN and with USB (for VSt, DAW) otherwise? I didn't really understand the adapter that Keystep comes with!
