Tittle is good. Too much un appreciated bs👎🏻
I really appreciate you posting this video. I’m in Commercial HVAC and was looking to purchase this meter but was hesitant after hearing about all the wireless problems and integration with the app. Jon-
Love Veto
I ordered this product and to my surprise when I turn it on I immediately see phantom voltages and amperages. I will return trutechtools right away and give it a second chance otherwise I will have to buy Fluke.
I’m using this device to find a leak in my air compressor plumbing system and it just makes a loud white noise when I put it in various areas. Not sure if mine is defective or what. I even held it at a fan and it didn’t do much.
My 378 fc field sense is so inaccurate and sucks you can’t use it on the output of vfds . So sad considering is was 800 dollars
Mine works flawlessly
Fluke 189 laughs at 87v.
Looks like you got a Lemon FP. I used one for years without any problems. Just ordered the 440 I hope it works better than your 680
Does the newest version of this meter still suffer from reading VFD amps below 7 amps?
Great advice thank you
It would be better if we could see the motor and where you are putting the test leads
Fieldpiece 440 is way better. Also not so huge.
Interested to see a review on the UEi DL 599, and on honest and apparently unbiased thoughts
You may want to do a review on the UEI DL599 Hvac clamp meter. Pretty much all the functions and ranges. You just went through plus true clamp meter dual station thermometer and true Rush current. Bluetooth connection allows you to record and export the file like a data logger. Also allows you to clamp around blower conductor without running remote leads and pinching them in the panel. Feel free to reach out to me for more information and availability
OMG I need one of those in my life
Columbus City Schools here. We needed a gas sniffer. We bought 10 at almost $700 each. Not reliable at all. Everything makes it go haywire. A warm van or a warm room makes it go off. The Leakator 10 was our old units and was awesome. Do not buy the Informant 2.
I like it because it's the only small veto bag with hammer loops.
Excellent, to the point, love this video
Would you say this can be used to measure motor inrush current? Looking to get one to use with my Fluke 289.
HVACR guy for almost 20 years. Had this meter for about 6 months, best meter I’ve ever had, and I’ve probably had 5 other fluke meters. If anything it’s made my PM’s more complete. I’ll whip out the amp clamp just because it’s fun to use.
My Dewalt 20volt impact worked fine not sure what your issue is
Put it on hammer mode the drill will work better.
Don't buy a cheep knock off brand they are for the most part not correctly sized.
Blades can be opened up to cut thicker material a little better
How is this compared to the malco version and the original malco version with the handle?
I'm a 1st year apprentice for plumbing but I noticed alot of the concepts in hvac/plumbing overalp, so I binge both types of videos to get a better overall 'mind' for the trade - especially since hvac/plumbing coincide.
Thank you
Great video! Liked and subscribed!
I want this!!
How download fluxe connect
It's hard to believe something that small has such power.Nice vid.Thanks.
Not a fan of this fuckin thing with fans as a background noise. Coils need to be wet to help in finding leaks. I think Accutrak is the way to go for an ultrasonic.
Like it
Those tools look like they’ve never been used
Fluke 16 best meter ever!!!
That is why you're able to rotate the shears when the bettery gets caught on the metal. The benefit of this tool over the Malco tool is you can cut with one hand instead od two hands as required with Malco.
The LoZ setting on the 116 is there to eliminate the meter from reading ghost voltage, similar to the way an old Simpson meter would. The 116 has eliminated the need for me to carry my old Simpson :( Came in real handy today on an Island Air PTAC reading 16 v of ghost voltage on the control wires. Ya that's just enough to make you question what's really going on, so I switched it to LoZ and it was gone. You can do something similar by putting a light bulb in parallel with the meter.
Additionally, the 87v is one of the few Fluke meters that offer a relative (REL) mode, and can be started up in zoomed relative mode by holding down REL when turning it on. This not only increases the sensitivity of the bar graph but centers it so you can more easily see +/- fluctuations.
I’m on my second replacement after the amp clamp has failed twice. I don’t use this meter very often and I’ve only had it about a year. Fieldpiece has been great about warranty replacements but it’s still a hassle. Thanks for the video.
Expensive it's not always better. Thrusty old Klein won't let you down 👍
This is a Great video! Thank you for sharing!
The 87 v it's a Best multimeter for all industrial working & HVAC,
Well demonstrated mate, thanks
Would you still consider this the best if not one of the best in 2023? I want to buy nice not twice…
Nice setup. I'm about to start a trade school. And have been doing research on what I need to get started, and damn it's going to cost more than I thought.
Do you wear this on a tool belt
Awesome. The video I was looking for. Cheers
I need one! Got a new project coming up! You convinced me!
How thick of sheet metal can this cut?
