  I made the transition from 4 panel to Pump, and I found I got a lot more out of it when I learned how to do the different crossovers (more commonly called twists in Pump circles). Whatever your preference and playstyle is, I hope you enjoy the journey

  I thought this was going to be a joke video but instead the only joke is the DDR player not holding that bar for dear life. I find doubles charts are more fun in PUMP (primarily because I mainly played in ITG 2 era where half the doubles charts were made by a single person and complete ass) but 5 note singles is really awkward.

  I either missed my opportunity or just should have titled it differently! I started dabbling in Pump doubles but can't do much more than a 6. I want to get better at it. All the good players seem to ONLY use the bar. I would like to be able to play good without it.

  @@Dancing-Machine I was top 50 in the world at one point maybe 10 years ago, I could PASS 13s without the bar, but with any sort of accuracy bar is basically required. It helps you move a lot faster and help with balance. The only time you'd ever take your hands off it or use one hand is tricky fast crossover patterns or hands. But at the top level even hands most top players would just hit multiple arrows with their feet. If your main goal is to get good at the game you must use it. If just playing for fun it doesn't matter at all. I've recently moved onto Beat Saber since unfortunately all our local machines are growing old and the pads suck and I'm not about to drop $15,000 to play at home unfortunately. But it's always great to see players get into rhythm games and keep the scene alive!

  @@Figgy20000 Multiple arrows with the same foot. We call that bracketing these days. Happy to keep things alive! I think the rhythm game community is stronger than it has ever been. I stopped playing for 6-7 years and got back into things about a year ago. Beat Saber counts too!
