I have always been a car nut, and since 1994 when I passed my test I have owned over 100 cars.
Growing up we used to travel to Germany a lot by car, and the first time we ever flew I was terrified. I never really lost that feeling well into my 20s, but then I got a job which included travel to places like the USA, where I had no option but to fly.
Over time I earned enough frequent flyer points to start booking premium cabins, and with that I started to enjoy the experience, not only of flying, but the lead up to it.
I’m not totally over my fear, but along with cars and travel, I wanted to share my experiences with everyone else.

Is it possible to do it in a same way with an biturbo n47 e81? Thanks
Without engine removal?
There maybe some other steps involved but it should be quite similar.
i own a 1996 nissan primera camino with the sr20de japan engine thoughts on this as mine completely stock i was thinking to put a pod filter on it.
A filter will make it sound nice but unlikely to give any real power gains on its own.
Oh dear, the breakfast is now awful, changed everything. Can't ask for what you want, fixed on a silly board. Got one fried egg one sausage. Bacon and one sad toast. No orange juice not even jam for bread. They filled the plate with roast potatoes, I kid you not. Mushrooms were half cooked. No yoghurts or croissants . A tour group got a really good breakfast in a separate area with all the trimmings, visible for all to see. Forget, stay in bed an extra hour and eat on land.
That’s a shame. I’ll be on it again later in the year and will try and review again.
Dear Neil I hope my message will hit a nerve, I look forward to your comments.
Loved the video! Particula8as I might have to do this on my 20D X1. How did the missus like the turbo rinsing on the kitchen island??? 😂 Thanks for sharing! 🙏
It’s not a bad job, just don’t tell your wife where you are cleaning the parts 😀
Be wary of using adblue stored outside in clear cans, it goes off. Been using adblue from halfords, its in light blocking plastic bags, way to go. Handy spout and alot less rubish.
Thanks for the tip.
He should have chipped to buy you a new polo shirt from M&S
Much prefer an old polo shirt 😀
How did u de attach the wire you put the resistors on please make a video on that!!!???????
The resistors come with 2 prongs that just plug into the plug.
@@NeilsCarsAviationTravel not the resistors but the plug you put them in how did you de attach that one?
Once my turbo axle got broken so the turbo centre part blew up, and tond of oil got into the exhaust. We have replaced the turbo and started.. Man I know what you mean... my village disappeared - even police came out. It was indeed a nightmare.
Pretty frightening at first, but assume it cleared after a while?
Yes please, there is a slight vibration when braking at higher speeds on my f10. Had the brake discs done and it fixed it but not fully. Any ideas?
Very likely to be the control arms on the front. I am planning a video soon, but depends on work commitments etc.
I feel sorry for your watch ⌚ 😭
I do sometimes remember to remove it 😀
why does my n46 not have that silver pipe thing
Could depend on year or engine. Mine was an N42 so maybe slightly different.
P11 harika bir araba, Türkiye’ den selamlar.
Thank you. I hope you enjoyed the video.
Hi Neil, I had a gut feeling the old Primera would pass the MOT, this would make a great car for you or some one else.In all this is good news on the Primera. Take care
It’s got your name writes all over it 😀
Not just a pass, an awesome pass! I hope yiu can find the right person for this true survivor
Yes I was very happy to see a new exhaust on it as it showed it was truly cared for.
I'm such a loser, my brain at 10:38 goes "he needs some 28268-9F904s". I haven't worked for Nissan for close to 10 years and I still remember that number. I don't know how much they are in 2024 but they were about £10 each back in the day. Loving the P11 content, takes me back to my trainee days in the early 2000s.
Haha. What are they? Batteries? Glad you are enjoying it.
@@NeilsCarsAviationTravel No they are remote shells/button repair kits. If you continue to use saggy/split rubber buttons it breaks the metal button underneath
@@tomball84 ah, luckily the keys are in really good condition.
I inherited a 144 sport 1.8 from my dad years ago. Was a great car in it's day with the usual Primera handling. Any Jap car I've ever owned has been pretty much bulletproof which is more than I can say for my previous wet belt Pug 308 puretech.
Hi Neil, Agree use the 144 for parts to save the GT and SE, but the SE looks road ready how did it get on with the MOT, Cant wait to see how you get on with this Primera project. Like I said before I miss my 2 Primera's, Good luck with these cars
Haha. I can’t spoil the video. The SE MOT video will be out Saturday. 😉
@@NeilsCarsAviationTravel Nice one I'll see you then
I do not need a Primera...I do not need a Primera 😂😂 But I am tempted....a little
You definitely do need a Primera 😂
Take it from me you do need a Primera, I've had 2, I miss them
Found a gear knob yet?
It’s got a GT LE Momo one on it.
@@NeilsCarsAviationTravel ah saw what u commented on the mg maestro video about the shifter knob
I got a nox sensor EML warning. My local garage cleared error, and it's not returned. He did say i need to put adblue, but the display on idrive says 8000 miles left. I'm confused. Surel, if i do that, i will overfilll it.
You can’t over fill it as it’s like a fuel tank, once it’s full it will just spill out. Not sure what’s the sensor has to do with the Adblue though.
Neil I need your help I can hear your pump working there is no sound coming from mine I also have e93 windows went down now they don’t even go up checked relays they seems okay what you recon I think I should do the same get a diagnostic tool (I checked the screw at the pump it’s all good) get new relays or new motor?
Where are you based? The relays are the first place to look, but also check you have power from the batter board. It’s the bit I had to bypass in either this video or one of my other ones.
Interesting to see you didn't disconnect the harness completely. @GeorgeAusters video shows a complete left side disconnect and fold over to the right side of the bay to get the manifold out. How easy was it to remove the manifold with just lifting the modules in the JBox and disconnecting the connectors close to the manifold? I'm going in to swap out the manifold next week as I have the same leak at the swirl flap actuator (why BMW can't let you just change the o-rings is beyond me).
It is a bit harder but wasn’t bad at all. Removing the harness completely can be a pain too.
How much HP?
Can’t remember. 75 or 100
Yeah you seem to be going the complete opposite of downsizing 😂
I know. Starting to think I have an issue 😂
Good luck explaining the two new vehicles to the wife 🤣😂🤣😂
Shhhh, she might see the comments 😂
The sound is a bit poor in this video. Please get a wireless microphone.
I have got one but didn’t have access to it today and wanted to get a video out. I will ensure I use it next time though. Thanks for the comment.
@@NeilsCarsAviationTravelI heard it fine and I’m in Australia 🇦🇺 😂
Nice there is definatly plenty of parts from both those cars.
One will be parts, the other will hopefully get back on the road….. whether I can bring myself to sell it is another matter.
Hi Neil , keep us updated, have a good one
Thanks. Will do. Another video coming soon.
A nice easy diy job to do that anyone can do.
Yep, a lot of people get daunted by jobs on newer high end cars, but it’s not bad.
Fake lol a mclaren is not 2k 😂
Got me there. 😂
Awesome! ❤
the most beautiful car
Thanks. I do love it.
After cleaning the intake manifold for clogged Soot, i ended up mixing the connector for oil pressure and charge temp sensor thus putting the car in limp on higher revs, this video helped me understand on the go that one connector has 1 pin and the other 2 on a same 2 pin connector... Geez thanks.
Glad I could help, thank you 😀
😂😂😂 typical bmw e46 haha lucky man
Yeah could have been a lot worse.
Great vid. Just waiting to fit my relay after water ingress, nowhere near as bad as yours so Im hoping and praying I dont have the problems you have had.
Let me know how you get on.
@@NeilsCarsAviationTravel Will do
2e77 fixed - I have just had my DME cloned after the same 2e77 code following a slightly damp DME. £100 for spare matching number DME and £65 for cloning. I used Corsham Auto Electrical on eBay, they cloned and sent back the same day, outstanding service
Hi Please tell me what that round thing that’s between the windscreen washer tank and that block
On the side of the engine? Maybe the Vanos motor?
Hi Neil a have trouble with my roof, nobody in cr knowing about it in the BMW suggests replace all the roof
If you have no codes then the most common issue is the 2 salmon coloured relays on the pump.
Hi … have a question, what sort of documentation check is done regarding the car? I just bought my first car in the UK but did not receive the new V5C yet, I just have the V5C/2 with my name on it. Could this be a problem? I am on a schedule and can not wait to get the definitive one before the trip. Any insights? Cheers
I have never had a check at the ferry port, but you could get checked on the motorway of you got pulled over. Normally only takes 3-5 days to get V5 document if you did ownership change online.
This is , what we knew as a late model Sierra in Europe . We did’nt even have a XR4i version of this , only a 2.0 4 cyl .
Well yes, in the U.K. (where I’m from) the saloon only ever had 4 cylinder engines. The 2.8 and 2.9 V6 was in the XR4i hatch and Ghia 4x4 estate.
@@NeilsCarsAviationTravel oh sorry...actually I had my mind of SA , because of the former XR8 model . In Europe, we never had the big engines , like in Australia or South Africa . BTW, I just learned, that they made the Taunus Coupe' in Argentine, until 1983
Subscribed and looking forward to see more on this. 👍
Wow thank you. I have watched your channel for some time, great to have you onboard. I don’t suppose you would like to take on the welding it needs as a sort of colab?
Have you figured out the issue yet? I have the exact same problem with my 2010 335i. I really don’t know what to do…
Unfortunately not as I have so many other things going on. I plan to get the DME cloned and if that doesn’t work I’m at a complete loss.
Okey. Thank you for the answer and good luck😊
Did you ever figure out what was wrong with it was it the dme or what?@NeilsCarsAviationTravel
@@chrisnielsen8320 I didn’t unfortunately. I had to make a decision whether to keep throwing money at yet more DME cloning or get rid, so it was sold at a loss. In fact it went tonight.
Great video something went bang in my e90 and now I have loss of power almost like it’s limp mode and my turbo is whistling and swooshing like crazy when accelerating anyone shed any light?
Do you have smoke? Sounds like maybe a boost pipe has popped off.
@@NeilsCarsAviationTravel yes I have a hole in my intercooler and also 2 boost leaks thank you for your reply I’ve ordered an upgraded intercooler and new boost pipes
