Can u please explain what the large tube is for and why a plastic tarp was used thank you
Love the simplicity of systems and the complexity of the build. So beautiful. Let me know if you ever want to sell it. I’m about to retire and can see myself in something like this. Great job.
Dude is a great builder no arguement. However its a great build if your going to spend the next 5 years in the Appalacia Mountains?. If you want to secret camp in any major city, ya kinda screwed. You stick out like dogs b@!!s.
Amazing!!! Great Build and Craftsmanship!!!
When I retire I’m gonna do this
Wow I absolutely love this masterpiece. Thank you for sharing.
You’re living life and doing an awesome job! Thanks for sharing your journey. Which state are you in?
How do you keep it warm?
You use that excavator like and extension of your arm/hand. Great work!!
👌🏻👍🏻❤ from South Africa🇿🇦
I wish I had some of your skills. Amazing!!
Solid work thanks for teaching all of us!
Excellent job Too bad you used the shittiest lumber available OSB…..
Sick set up! Cheers from VT!
An ingenious design.
@ about 5:19 the dog was like. I see two plates of food but we have 3 people here where's mine.
Very nice thanks for sharing
Thanks for visiting !
Thats awesome!!!!
Thank you!
Love it!
Thanks!!
That thing is cool, but has to weigh a ton.
Thanks! It is just heavy enough to make the old dodge ride a little better.
😂cool video
Thank you!
Damn nice build. ❤
Thanks!
Cool rig
Thanks!
I really love the build I would like it better. It’s a bed set up into a couch mode because that’s a lot of wasted space if I can’t use it during the day. Just saying, but it is beautiful. I even love the color of the truck. What did you use to paint that?
Thanks! I used rustolem primer
Very nice!
Thanks!
I love it ! Awsome job . I watch Timmy at truck house life . Freakin beautiful. And you get 5 bonus points for the truck roller paint ! I'm an ex car painter, butt whatever works . Not knocking it at all . I have a lot of redneck hippie in me . I knew you were in beautiful Idaho before I even saw your pic. Plate . Another win ! & you earned a subscribe
Very homey !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching!
Keep in mind, these truck cabins are heavy.... I built one and I couldn't believe how much it weighed....
Got that bloody right, did the same
I'm building one on my 1997 dodge dually v10. It'll haul a lot of weight!
It is just right to make the truck ride better but not overloaded. I still haul my excavator with this rig no problem.
What size is the ibeam and how long?
It is a 5 inch x 20 foot and could be bigger, this is not enough for green wood or large logs without supporting it in the middle with a kicker
Sooooo scary!!!
Awesome! This had my pulse racing 😅 I won't be camping in the woods anytime soon 😱
Glad it was scary!
Looks awesome! And looks like you’re in a nice and rainy climate… the OSB/Grace/corrugated metal is all you need? A lot of people over-engineer with fiberglass and whatnot and still seem to get leaks.
My Idea was to build the whole thing like a roof, not one drop or condensation so far and it has been in several noreasters and a direct hit from what was left of hurricane lee recently. Also it lives about 100 yards from the ocean and It still smells like brand new construction inside!! Thanks for watching!!
@truckhouselife
Just last week I had a hickory log that drove me nuts because it was wavy.i ended up doing all the checks you did and then I cut some old 8x8s for beams in my house..things worked out..thanks for the lube recipe.. I'll try it.
Happy I could help!
New to the channel inspiring build. And the music makes me think of my Grandfather and his harmonica and had me tapping my feet like him lol 😊
Glad you liked it!
This is a master build man, such great craftsmanship!!
Thank you!
what is the size of the interior?
7x9 foot
Thank you so much for NOT showing 25 minutes of useless action to make your points. This is how all "how-to" videos should be done. Short and to the point. Bravo!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Gonna need more truck camping videos
Working on a couple now!
Love your camper
Thank you!
Cool..i like it..the first one is the one we saw..awesome
Thanks!
Isn't it easier to build it at ground level and then mount it on the truck. ?😅
Might have been easier! I did it like this to ensure a good fit and I didnt have to figure out how to get it mounted right away.
Looks Great- Those 12v Cummins Tough Motor- Have you considered Mini wood stove?
Thanks! It has been super reliable. Yes I am in an area with lots of boats and have keeping an eye out for a used wall mount style wood stove you commonly see on old sailboats.
Awesome
Thanks!
Excellent! Home is a haven or a money pit 😅
So true!
So how have those windows held up?
Fine so far. I installed them so they would be easy to replace. I have put around 6000 miles with it on some pretty rough roads and it has been through a couple of far north winters.
Awesome tractor skills!!!
Thanks 👍
❤❤❤❤
สุดยอด😍 awesome ✌️😊
