  If I got interview in paediatric rheumatology. Will they ask me questions on only paediatrics in general or the speciality? Will they ask me adult medicine or ethics question?

  Ethics and audits are not detachable from the day to day UK medicine, however, adult medicine seems unlikely but in order to be sure you need to go through the job description thoroughly and decipher what is required of you. And, considering it is a sub-specialty post , few niche questions are to be expected and general paediatric questions should not be surprising. Best of luck.

  Can we do an audit in my own country/city (pakistan , lahore) by compering it against NHS guidelines? Or it must be done in a hospital within England? To be compared with their standards. I mean, are there standards for the whole world?

  An audit can be done anywhere , as far as its administrated under the hospital setting and regulated accordingly

  It depends on whi h speciality you have worked in and depending upon your qualifications, you can consider senior clinical fellow, SPR , specialist and even a consultant post in respective domain.

  @seemasapra6841 yes you do require cct/cesr for a consultant post but may be eligible to apply for a specialist post and it will be upto you if you want to explore further options later to finding to way upto a consultat post but it will be a long journey sir

  Well, if one writes something that you have attended or done, one should have some kind if documentation to support their claim. It could be a certificate or even a letter of attendance to provide if needed.

  Well, i got my gmc in late april and istarted applying job the moment i got the gmc and maybe after sending 80 applications i got my 1st interview in june and got the job next day. I was sort of lucky but these days it is taking more and more time .

  Great video doctor Shahbaz I would like to add a very important tip that I wish I was informed about beforehand If this is your first job in the NHS: you ARE entitled to a SIX week PAID shadowing period. This is EXTREMELY CRUCIAL to go for regardless of the conditions your workplace is going through (short staff for example), as this time is essential for you to settle not only into your job (which is vital) but also to settle into the country (setting up bank account, accommodation, and other personal matters) P.s. some admins might “unintentionally deceive” this FACT but telling you that we can give you one to two week shadowing period due to shortages. Do NOT accept this request not matter the pressure. As this is a NATIONAL requirement (as per the TCS of NHS 2023) Finally, always be nice to your team, patients, and more importantly never be ashamed or hesitant to ask for help. Be a SAFE doctor!

  Previously it was because it gave you the liberty to change your visa stays from UK itself but now since everything is done remotely via teams, so, it does not make a difference . And the visa can only be switched from your home country

  You only can get a uk license if you have a degree from your home country or any other country but if you have a housejob experience you can get away in the initial foundation yrs. But you can get license without your home country license

  The tickets are dummy because you can’t anticipate the visa approval. And once you get a visit visa you can change the itinerary according to your liking

  It depends upon the job that you are applying and you can use any format of material that you use or is available at your disposal . I would recommend oxford handbook of medicine or surgery, depending upon your specialty

  I was an SHO but it depends upon your lifestyle, your salary and rhe car you are looking for but you can afford an decent car to commute like me. But there are ways to get a good car as well, for which i will making avl video soon.

  Well , I didn’t make any referee from my housejob because it was difficult to touch with the consultants and i made other senior doctors my point of contact but you need to make them aware beforehand whether they are happy to provide a reference for you .
