You're supposed to remove the 10mm bolt at the bottom of those side cushions, then lift up and remove them. That's why the clips are broken.

Why didn't you use the EX Accord's brake proportion valve? Why did you use the Prelude?

Honestly I thought it would be intimidating... yeah it's a lot of work but it's nothing too difficult Edit: is the proportional valves a must to change?

Having to disconnect the battery keeps me from doing this upgrade. I hate the task of relearning the idle.

Question, can you reuse the emergency brake cable that's already on the car? Or do you have to use the one that comes with the EX rear brake disc caliper as a whole piece? Thank you for making this video.

For a 1995 and older vehicle, you have OBD-1. This requires a specific scanner from the manufacturer to scan it. They can also be bought from aftermarket.

Thanks for posting this helpful video. I have one bulb burnt out near my fuel gauge. Been like that for over a decade! :) I wanted to change all the incandescent bulbs to LEDs. I believe the generic bulb spec for these are T10 for the large ones and T5 for the small ones. NOTE: There are two more bulbs at the front of the gauge cluster. They produce the blue ambient light in front of the faces of the gauges. You can see the sockets on either side of the front of the assembly as you install and remove the cluster. It's recommended if anyone does this job, like timing belts....once you are in there, just change all the bulbs to new ones. BTW, there is a small bulb inside the hazard switch, that should be changed if your hazard switch doesn't light up at night. There is a small bulb in each of the switches that is user replaceable should they be out at night. Lastly, the ashtray and cig lighter socket have their own light bulb too. The cig lighter ring should glow blue at night if working. HTH for all 5th generation Accord owners.

Hey I’m getting ready to do this on my 96 F Series Accord now, just taking notes and studying. I had the car since 2013 but it’s my first time doing the timing belt job.. That seal retainer clip had going for a sec till I had checked to see if it’s there lol. I got the Alternator, p/s pump out the way along with their brackets so it’s easier. Now to continue studying and buy everything I need. Even new a timing cover kit with their seals. Thanks for the heads up! Is there a part number for that clip that holds the seal? Just incase 😅

Old video, I know. What is the brand name of those struts or part no also. Why did you choose to use the aftermarket springs and not the OEM units. The aftermarket springs are clearly progressive rate coils. The top 6" of coils with the black serpentine cushion wrap will be the soft spring rate which then transitions to a progressively firmer srping rate until the assembly bottoms out on the urethane jounce bumper. Question: Did you replace the fronts with the same brand. Mfg. engineers work very hard to be sure damping curves coexist with their own brand. Otherwise, your rears could be overly stiff relative to a diff. mfg. front struts.

The hardest part of the whole thing IMO was getting the timing cover back on. I had to loosen up three mounts and move the engine over and drop the bar from the lower control arm to the radiator support. The later ones have tons of room but my 95 doesn't have room. It was horrible.

Hi, I noticed the valve cover is still on. Were you able to get the upper timing cover off without touching the valve cover in the beginning? Also, is it possible to remover the crank bolt with a breaker bar or torque wrench and a 19mm deep socket?Or do you need an air gun. Thank you.
