Guitars, DIY builds, Gear demos, my music and more..
Hey guys! I’m David, and I like composing and doing music covers, gear reviews and tutorials...
I'm passionate about all things rock and electronics, and I love sharing my original music, heavy metal covers, guitar mod projects, and DIY electronic projects with fellow guitar/musicians.
You can expect to hear my unique blend of heavy riffs, soaring solos, and powerful melodies, all played through some of the coolest modded guitars and custom-built pedals and controllers around. I'm constantly pushing myself to create new sounds and experiment with different gear, and I love sharing my DIY projects with the community.
My original music is inspired by the greats like Megadeth, Dream Theater, Joe Satriani and I also love covering some of my favorite heavy metal tracks, putting my own spin on classic songs from bands like Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, and Pantera.

I love what you did to that Tele man wow!!
Thanks so much! It’s such a nice hobby. Made several more since then.
@@DavidsMusicChannel I’m waiting for one I ordered so I can build mine out.
So basically I can do the same with a guitar split cable ?
Pretty much, with this you have the option to add in more components if necessary
I really want it, thank you for giving me an idea of how I might want to stain it when I inevitably buy one at some point.
Glad you found it helpful, staining was the most enjoyable part of this build and most I guess 😃
Dave the chromatic progression just superb ❤🎉
Thanks so much!
No signal degradation when splitting the signal that way ?
Didn’t notice any on these smaller amps. Was surprised as I had expected some
@@DavidsMusicChannel But did you made a before and after comparison cause many say that those ABY splitters degrade the top end noticeably.
@@MrBeen992 I didn’t bother to given this is a simple low budget setup. No point having an expensive buffered splitter for tiny practice amps right ?
@@DavidsMusicChannel you are right. I don't want a splitter for using 2 amps though. I want to use one signal to record the direct clean signal into a digital multitrack recorder while using the second output to monitori through a guitar multieffects. So that is why I want that clean signal to record properly
@@MrBeen992 think this should be fine for that application too. You might want to shield the enclosure better than I did. Also might be a good idea to go through a boost /compressor/ anything that will push more signal to noise so you limit the noise level and have more possibilities in post . I had no idea this would be that popular 😂 I’ll try and make a follow up video with more tests after the holidays. Do keep me posted how your experiments go, always good to learn this stuff with others all the best 👍
ive got one it has eddys strips on it and hasa 4 pick ups
Oh nice! That’s the HSS LK3-6 if I’m not mistaken?
Why do you like that the tube is after the effects and not in the pre-amp as with the newer versions. Im considering either version. Thanks! Great video!
Thanks! I’m no expert but judging by the sound I could imagine it actually helps soften out those digital effects that can be harsh. I’ve had a keyboard also which has a tube in the final stage that adds that little compression and warmth that can smooth things out a bit.
I bought the same kit, a friend of mine wired it for me, he set it up where I have a master tone and individual volume for each pickup, because of the wiring being for a two pickup guitar
Hey that’s an interesting alternative! Thanks for sharing!
This will cause groundhum problems, you need to have galvanic isolation, by means of a transformer...😊
Hi there I was expecting issues too but on these smaller amps there was no ground hum or any interference. For a bigger setup this would not work most likely. This is more suited for tiny amps
@@DavidsMusicChannelSometimes you get lucky, I ended up buying a transformer isolated splitter for running a solid state and a tube amp together, solved the problem.
@@ErickvdK Oh ok, thanks for sharing that, will help others. 🙏👍
I love my FP7!
A nice keyboard for sure 👍
I would if I could. Just not set up yet.
Thanks 😊 all the best 👍🤘
Awesome backing track David, I wish I was solo guitar player :)
Thanks Bert! Never too late to start 😉👍
Hello David,....great cool feeling and nice bass & drums.🤗🤗🥰👍👍👍👍👍 greetings😀🤣
Thanks so much! 🙏👍
Great jam David !! Your backing track is very good too!
Thanks so much 🙏👍
As a guitarist for over 50 years, I find the Squier Se is an awesome value. I sold one that I had, and just bought another one to leave in VA at my sisters place. I live in Florida. With a good set-up that I do myself, we are ready to rock!
Thanks for sharing! Yes it definitely is a gem of a find
Fantastic job.
Thanks so much! 👍
@@DavidsMusicChannel I play and build, you are so talented at both.
@@LeslieDevoe thanks so much! just trial and error and small improvements with each attempt :)
@@DavidsMusicChannel that is really the best way to learn just about anything.
@@LeslieDevoeoh yeah!!
if yer lucky you'll receive a Chibson that really speaks to you. Mine is a combo tobacco / honey burst with light flaming. It's weight is rather light. and the D shape neck is really thin ? Frets were scratchy. Called my luthier and had him replace all the frets with SS, all the electronics Pot switches jack plug, pick ups ABR and Tail PC and bone nut. not tuners, he said they were fine ? $1000 can upgraded and very special. so glad. In for a Penny...
It works well especially if you can pull it off for much less$ like I did. Had a lot of parts lying around so the build was below budget in the end 😀
Of course you can. Did it a few times and it turned out well especially with the original Dimarzios.
Yeah those original pickups are great! 👍
Headstock not really accurate but looks great
Thank you for reviewing this. I've been a little skeptical about the prices pango has with these kits. But you definitely helped me figure this out. Thanks for the great content cant wait for the next video!!
My pleasure! Glad you found it helpful! Thanks so much, greatly appreciate the support, it's what keeps me going :) Cheers!!
Nice build, and love all the variations you have. If you want a guitar that can do it all, you have it. Nice Job!
Thanks Dennis! What a crazy wiring setup it has. Want to finish it a bit more so it plays better. But a solid mod platform for sure!
What was shipping and duties for the kit Dave ? Man i love the look and sound
Hi! It’s around 300 cad. They have sales every now and then. It’s a nice kit but the wiring is definitely tricky 😀. A great base to build a very nice guitar!
Love it Dave Nice Build !!!! Don't show Collie ha ha
Thanks so much! Oh he’s already seen it at various stages 🤣🤣
Nice Gary.... haha 😂.... How much for it, Dave?😂
That guitar is cool, Dave😊
@@jsdcband2841 all in would be comparable to an Indonesian made guitar :) Still a few more upgrades to be done
@@jsdcband2841 thanks DC! your finish sure. 😉
This kit building stuff is addictive.
Hey thanks! Yeah it definitely is! A lot of fun putting these together
Hi, great looking build and finish! I’m going to start one and I’m aiming for a similar look. Can you clarify the need for the wood filler step you did? I didn’t quite catch why you said you were doing that step and was hoping you wouldn’t mind further explaining. Thank you!
Hi thanks! Sure, if you want a nice smooth finish you need to add wood filler as the mahogany wood has bigger grain. If you want just a natural wood feel which is not smooth then you can skip the grain fill. Hope that makes sense. Cheers!
@@DavidsMusicChannel thanks man!
@@carsonschaller7186you’re welcome!
By far my favourite demo so far !! I love how the intro switches up as soon as the drums kick in !
Hey thanks!
I like the natural look. My next project will be one of the Fender offsets. Looking forward to seeing how you wire this up .. and of course the sound demo 🙂
Hey thanks! Oh nice! That should be fun! Should have her ready in the coming weeks before summer kicks in 🤞🤞
What a guitar beauty David!!!
Hi Bert! Hope you had a good vacation! Yes it is and the wiring is going to be fantastic! Can’t wait to get it done and play it!
great sounding David
Thanks so much Melani!
chibson wins hahahahaha
For the price definitely 👍
With about a grand worth of upgrades and tons of labor, the fake one became more expensive than the real one yet the fake one sounds like a pos even with distortion. Needless to mention that the fake one has absolutely zero resale value while the real one has excellent resale value. Why bother to spend time and money to do the obvious. There are tons of videos about fake guitars.
Thanks for the feedback and it appears so. However there were two reasons for me; curiosity and i managed to source all the parts on the cheap. Sometimes the best way to come to ones decision is to experiment. I watched a lot of videos and wanted to see for myself. I enjoyed the process and laid down the facts so that people can make draw their own conclusions just like you have 😃 cheers 👍
I’ve just picked up a Hondo 2 for £175 from a local music shop, it’s all there and I can tell with a little fret polish and set up it’s going to be a lovely guitar.
For sure! Hope it has all the original bells and whistles! Either way should be a lovely guitar! Cheers!
@@DavidsMusicChannel yes, it has the pick guard, the tuners are great. I believe it was made in 76/77 due to the block logo.
@@shanebrimble7246that’s great! Nice find!
Amazing ❤ There seem to be very few who own that bolt-on neck Ltd. Edition Flying V Custom 2015 .....
Thanks so much! That’s a great guitar and built very well.
may I ask you for a link pls?
Hi here’s a link bit.ly/48zeRHX
@@DavidsMusicChannel thanks 🔥🔥
I have 2 of these and love them. I have the 1X12 and the 2X12
Thanks for sharing 👍
do they sound fat? or thin
@@59plexi cranked up they sound pretty good.
Great Jam David! Nice to see you playing a 12 string guiter. This is just more appealing to me than the electric one ;P
Hey Matthias! Thanks man, glad you liked it, it was just on the spur of the moment which made it fun 🙏🤘
What model of the Les Paul is this closest to? Standard? Special? 59?
I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference, maybe a question for Solo Music
Awesome improvisation guys!! 👍 Jamming with others Is Always fun and unpredictable! Waiting for another impromptu 🤟 See you soon ! Emanuele
Thanks so much Emanuele!
can the whamy bar go up? So I can do dimebag squeals
Hey! Yeah there’s room in the cavity to dive down or pull up
@@DavidsMusicChannel cool I want to build this guitar
I remember your video about the new guitar room and studio, and collection, and now you have another one!!! Love it!
This fast paced life! 😳😀🤘👍
That was fun. I enjoyed that video, and the Ninja too! Is there a way to pm so I can share my progress with you. I’ve been taking pictures but am not near done yet and will be trying to put a video together when it’s complete. Cheers
Hey! Thanks! Yeah sure! Its [email protected]
Every strat fan should try a Falcon. They really got those right.
Yeah totally! Feels so premium to play!
The experiment wasn't very fair on the chibson,if you were to put the same kind of pickup in the chibson that the Gibson has, I think the results would have been different, what I'm curious about is how the chibson felt in your hands, compared to the Gibson, was there a big noticeable difference between the two necks.
Hi there, I made a couple of videos actually. Maybe you didn’t see them all. Basically the Chibson also had Gibson pickups and upgraded bridge and tuners. The Gibson felt better to play for sure. The Chibson upgraded wasn’t too far off and played well but to be clear again not as good as the Gibson. But the quality gap wasn’t as big as the price difference. Hope this helps 👍
Magnificent, I always love listening to Leon play piano.Truly a keyboard maestro.
Thank you very much!
Felt great to jam again after a long hiatus. As usual, fantastic composition! Those speed shifts gave me a good challenge. Great work!
Yeah that was quick! 😀👍
This guys knows how to play the cajun !!
Thanks Bert! Yes he does!
I have one El-Degas 750-TS in like new condition, I love these made in japan guitars
Me too! I’m always on the hunt for just another 😀
I bought a 2004 SE from one owner for 100$ added mx pickups & 500k pots and now she's sounding great. Early strat se's are good stuff to hotrod.
Oh nice! Yes for sure and they feel more solid than the newer mex guitars
Im currently building my Second Pango Guitar kit, with a third on the way. My first was a Mandolin-style guitar. Im building a lefty quilt top Les Paul and I have a Lefty , quilted maple, EVH- Music Man on the way... One thing I have found is the cost of the kit, relates to the total quality and fit amd finish of the body and neck. Especially the fretwork and any banding or inlay. The mandolin kits neck needed to have the 14th and 18th frets replaced, because they were cut an 1/8" short of the edge of the fretboard. The Les Paul on the other hand was a night and day difference. The Les Paul was about $100 more and the increase in quality and time spent on fret dressing was immediately obvious. As for the electronics and pickups... They are serviceable, but I chose to upgrade just about everything. Especially the pots, wiring, pick-ups and bridges. I had No problem selling the left over spare parts on Reverb. Overall, these are great guitar kits amd and best of all, they do custom orders of just about every kit they offer. So if you see a kit amd want it in a Lefty... They will accommodate you. My EVH music man was special ordered to my requirements for No added cost. As an often disappointed guitar collector, this is an awesome plus in my book.
Thanks for the valuable feedback! Yes that’s a great point actually, It could very well be the case. My dean razorback was a breeze to put together. Have to try the custom kits at some point 👍
I am pretty sure this will become one of your greet looking guitar babies. Like the video David :) Bert
Thanks Bert! Pretty stoked to create something special with this kit! 🙏
