Yep. The coarse BP just provides a gentle lift for the ND creamer. Once the creamer has been lifted and dispersed it catches fire and that's what you see burning.

@@Envoy04XUV I think the guy making the mine was a little heavy handed with the BP, then he added 10lbs of creamer on top of that in a relatively narrow aluminum tube. That would explain the bang.

One more stupid question if you don't mind... This is room temperature sulfuric acid dissolving gold rather than the base metal it's plated onto is that correct because it was my understanding that that's not possible or is it just because the layer of gold is so thin that you're able to do that as if it was just dissolving the base metal rather than the gold the gold would still be gold and not black and I'm a little confused by that
@briankirk1969 Жыл бұрын
It's not dissolving, the black you see in the acid is finely divided gold. It's basically reverse electroplating. Because the gold won't plate to the lead and just stays in suspension and is collected later.

Ok here's what I think caused this/happened: 0:03 Truck was approaching the intersection, and the light turned yellow, so he stopped on the tracks. (the car with the dashcam's light turns green not long after the truck clears the track) 0:08 Crossing arms go down, and the driver realizes what's happening. However, his light is red, so he does not want to drive into the intersection and hit another car. 0:12 He tries to drive off the track, but in his panicked efforts to clear the way, he does something wrong with shifting. You can tell by the way the truck is moving that the driver has the pedal to the metal, but is screwing up the shifting. It looks to me that he hit the gas, and put the truck in gear which stalled the engine. 0:19 He then restarts the engine and guns it across the tracks.

Is there any other way to get the gold out of the solution? I followed all the steps but ended up with a green solution after adding the urea and filtering it. When I added the sodium bisulfate it had a reaction but it doesn’t seem to be settling. Have you had any experience with this? I know the gold is in the solution I just don’t know how to get it out.
@briankirk19692 жыл бұрын
Hard to troubleshoot from the internet. Assuming there is gold in solution do a stanious test to indicate the presence of gold in solution. If positive add more SMB until the color changes to a dark. Let it settle. Stanious test again, if positive, repeat until a negative result.
