  I have this exact model I love it so much, I wear it everyday and as discussed in the video I noticed I was putting some scratches in the clasp, so I took the bracelet off and replaced it with an Omega black and orange rubber dive strap to preserve the bracelet, and yeah replacing the bracelet with a rubber strap makes the watch much lighter to wear, and I love the way the strap looks, the orange on the strap compliments the orange Seamaster logo on the dial and the orange tip on the seconds hand.

  I was worried about the fit on my 7.25 wrist, but it wears great. In fact,I bought all three color variations on bracelet. I may be the only person that has. It makes other watches I have seem like toys😂

  I actually went to an AD yesterday and they had this same exact configuration which is the one I wanted as well. I think the fluted bezel is too flashy for me and it’s more common. You don’t see many Datejusts with the jubilee bracelet and smooth bezel very often. It’s a classic look.

  Not convinced by this small second, also date in that same place makes it feel busy when comparing to other parts of dial. I think I like normal second version more. Also Omegas are too thick imo.

  Of course he wants first dips on buying your old watch, he will low ball you, then once they take your watch, it goes to polish and he puts it into the CPO case for sale at a high premium. He or Rolex could care less about tracking down gray market activity. You mean to tell me with all the technology we have, Rolex with the resources they have couldn't track down and stop gray dealers if they wanted to?

  I don't like the crystal being so reflective. I cannot see the dial that clearly. The AT shade looks better on y wrist.

  i think what would be a nice design change is to place the date window at the "10" position. the chrono version dial has the date at the "6" position

  The engraved design on the back is NOT a SCUBA diver, it is a helmet (or hard hat diver). SCUBA means Self Contained Underwater Breather Apparatus, whereas a helmet has air pumped down to it from the surface. If you are going to wear a "diver's watch" you should know the difference! 🤿🤣

  I see one for sale (pre owned) Seamaster planet ocean chronometer / blue face.. the motor is 8500 not 8800.. Anything I shoud be aware of before I purchase? Thank you Joe

  One thing I know is there’s no quick tool less adjust on the bracelet with the 8500. I believe, the bezel, while ceramic, the black is painted therefore scratchable on the 8500.
