Ziggy's Desk

Hi I'm Chris, and Ziggy is the dog who often joins me in my scale modeling adventures. My videos feature mainly automotive plastic model builds in 1/24 to 1/12 scale. I started scale modeling in 2019 and I'm always looking for ways to improve and will share everything I learn.

    When you write Thinned 2:1 does that mean 2 parts active material 1 part water or the other way around?

    Beautiful job. Now that it is three years late, You're going to have to rebuild it. The timing belt covers are black and the cool guys use blue hoses.))))

    Wow!!! Are you a surgeon by day! This is wanna the best videos I’ve seen. Thank so much for sharing all your knowledge about all the hoses, clamps, shrinking technics etc…I’ve done F1 1/12 scale but have always wanted to take it to the next level but no one out there ever explained the technics you’ve shown or the supplies….thx again..

    Hi, good job first of all, I wanted to ask, When you apply a decal on a not-flat surface, how do you keep the decal to follow the curve? Do you leave the decal more in the water or do you use some special products? Thanks in advance

    He was using Micro Sol to soften them so they can be rolled around a corner

  • @ZiggysDesk
    @ZiggysDesk5 ай бұрын

    Hi, yes microsol brushed on the decal helps soften it and lets it adhere to non-flat surfaces. Doing it slowly with many applications while you push out bubbles and wrinkles will have the best result

    POV: You buy a plastic model you’ve been saving up for - 30$ You also want some photo etched parts for more detail- 10$ You need to find the right paint colors for the model- 15$ You are out of liquid cement so you buy a 3 pack - 15$ You messed up the waterslide decal so you need a new sheet - 10$ You realized you got the wrong shade of paint - 10$ You need some weathering for the model - 10$ Result: You have used 28 hours of you time building a model You have spent 100$ on a piece of plastic. You sell the model online for 130$ Nobody wants it.
