Ah man, kinda sucks. Same hot weather here in SW PA too. I got the 3 pack cold hardy figs from Stark Bros (Chicago hardy, Celeste and Brown turkey) and am taking a chance by putting them in the ground. I placed each one in a 1 foot high by 1 foot wide pressed paper core with an open bottom and water them every other day and they are doing surprisingly well. They were just budding out when they came in the mail and they are all leafing out nicely all the way up now with no burn yet (they are each about 2-3 feet high). I will probably mulch heavily around them before winter and may even wrap them if it gets too cold. Thanks for inspiring me to give this a shot. 🙂

Food for thought......... Here in Northeast Texas, zone 8 a/b, I have found that my trees and plants growing in black pots suffer because of the tendency of black to absorb heat. Even when they are watered regularly. In fact wet soil in black pots tends to cook the roots like steamed veggies. My fix has been to paint the pots or shade them somehow, such as with hay or leaves, just so the sun doesn't hit the pot directly. I'm glad figs are fairly resilient!

A native tree that should grow in zone 5a but has both male and female trees, though some are supposedly self pollinating. Smacking
Absolutely!
You do the same thing I do with a lot of my videos. You hold the phone straight up. My son always asks me if I’m losing it. Sometimes it’s just me thinking about the video I’m making. Not the stupid phone.😁
Thanks for watching! I finally got a tripod to limit this haha. New videos coming soon!
