  I love how JTMS went from the most busted planeswalker to ever be printed and single handedly caused an entire set to become overpriced all the way to "If it wheels I might take it depending on what else is there." Really shows how off the rails MTG has become.

  Can't remember how many years I've watched and looked forward to LSV content at this time. Thanks for being funny, smart and interesting to listen to. Having said that, if possible I do think some more variety in the cube decks could be beneficial. Well, at least for me that is. I might be in the minority here.

  Random question but at 24:43 suppose LSV had Mishra's Bauble instead of Urza's. I assume he'd want to check his top card to try blanking Ragavan, but once he sees Jace, would he use the clue to draw Jace before it gets exiled to Ragavan (since Jace could be powerful later)?Or just let Ragavan exile Jace anyways (since opponent can't cast Jace)?

  Seeing the default sorting again after the crash really makes me appreciate how LSV sorts cards. It makes the draft so much more legible.

  I will die on the hill that talismans and the like should go into a "permanents curve" not the "spell curve." Should sort by spells you want to case on curve (planeswalkers, creatures, artifacts, cantrips, etc.) and reactive spells (counterspells, removal, etc.).

  @@stephenglaeser7830 Think of it not like a "permanents curve" but specifically an "adds to the creature board curve". Talismans are undoubtedly permanents but they don't involve themselves in attacking or blocking. That's why you tend to see talismans and other mana rocks come with the phrase "taking the turn off" most of the time.

  @@AREAlhero I understand the logic, but they are still advancing your board position, often by allowing you to case a big creature/permanent next turn. Relatedly, many planeswalkers also allow you to advance your board position by adding or removing a creature from play, so why should they be excluded from that curve? Also, if you have a glut of two mana creatures and mana rocks, you want to be able to easily assess that in your curve. Where as a glut of two mana creatures and two mana removal spells is not an issue at all.

  @@stephenglaeser7830 to be fair, LSV will typically put non creature spells that advance his board state (lingering souls, minsc and boo, esikas chariot, etc) on the side with the rest of the creatures. putting mana rocks over with your creatures makes about as much sense as putting a nature's lore with your creatures, which i can't imagine you'd think is a good idea. if you're making an EDH deck, that's an argument i can buy into more, but it makes less sense in limited imo

  @@stephenglaeser7830 By definition mana rocks do not advance your board position, because "the board" refers to the creature arena. Mana dorks would advance your board position, but not mana rocks. And again, actually look at how LSV sorts. He puts Minsc & Boo most often with the creatures as it immediately puts a creature into play. Grist is also often in the creature section as it most often puts 1 or more 1/1s into play.

  (20:50) Sacrificing a pair of 2/3 spawns (with the potential to evolve to 3/4s the next turn) just to kill (bounce) a 1/1 flying token looked like a prime example of Kicker Value Syndrome to me -- It seemed like there was NO consideration for "What does the board look like if I cast Battlemage with only the green kicker?"... But I dunno, maybe it was correct??

  At 1:18:41 the opponent could have given their Nightshade Dryad first strike and would have won that combat. Surprised LSV didn’t mention that.
