  #5:30. Sorry to interrupt, but "beschuit met muisjes". Are a kind of biscuits with glossy, sugar covered anise seeds and the little things sticking out are the tails. White with blue or pink... Boy/Girl. (Fun fact... in Victorian times, pink was the colour for boys.)

  I'm current using up my last of my cream deodorants that I bought from wilkos before they shut The sure one youve got and also the dove ones. I'll then be trying fussy out which is a UK based company seen on dragons den... We'll see what thats like. I didn't get on with wild... I too am a sweaty betty and it just made me smell of BO and the scent was overbearing... Maybe the rose one you mentioned about

  I am Dutch but never heard about Rokjesdag and never seen anyone frie Mars bars lol. Apart from that I do agree. And you forgot to mention the weather. We have like two nice weeks a year over here and apart from that it's raining. 😉 But funny how all the things you mentioned just seem normal to me. Never stood still by the fact they were tippically Dutch.

  Here are things I saw in the Netherlands: Food: Eating raw herring, Oliebollen, Waffles. The Dutch probably drink more coffee than tea. Culturally: when new babies are born you will see plastic storks with a baby doll hanging from its mouth to show that the family has a new baby. When students finish school their hang their school bag from the window with the Dutch flag.

  Living now in Sweden, cycling here is done with a helmet. The reason the Dutch do not HAVE to is simply because their infrastructure for cyclists is superb. Separate cycle lanes, no dirt - sand or gravel - on the roads or cycle lanes...... and speed remains within reason due to the Netherlands being flat (no downhill craziness). And yes (apple-) syrup on cheese is pretty common.

  A lot of natural ongredients are allergens! That's the biggest problem with natural products. Bee wax/honey, for example, is an allergen for a looot of people. I don't know how this is more sustainable. Because my normal Dove I buy 2 times per year so it's relatively low plastic waste from me. However if I will use these reusable things, ordering again and again, I waste more for the travelling of products so CO2 anyways. So I'm not sure about this.

  Ja hoor, daar gaan we weer. Alsof cultuur is wat je in je mond stopt. Alsof eten bepaalt wat je denkt doet en belangrijk vindt. Waar komt de obsessie vandaan om eten bepalend te laten zijn voor cultuur en wie je bent? Ik ben geen Nederlander omdat ik een kroket eet, maar omdat.... uh ik mijn leven niet wil laten bepalen door werk. Deeltijd werk is een voorbeeld van de Nederlandse cultuur. Zo'n voorbeeld zegt veel meer over de Nederlandse cultuur dan de frikandel die ik naar binnen schuif. Ook Nederlands, de oppervlakkigheid die Laurie presenteert, dat dan weer wel.
