- ABOUT ME -
Hi there! My name is Laurie Robyn (shocking, I know) and when I as about twelve years old I discovered the world of KZread. A whole new world opened up to me and I have never left since. After years of building up the courage, I finally decided that I wanted to create my own KZread channel on which I could upload videos that would take you along on my journey throughout life.
I am an ordinary girl from the Netherlands who is obsessed with the United Kingdom and I have a great passion for too many things. After being a student at the University of Stirling, Scotland, for one full year, I decided to make the move and officially emigrate to the land of sexy accents and weird driving habits (yes!). On my KZread channel I share videos on various topics that I find interesting: from beauty and lifestyle, to travel and daily life vlogs. I am no expert in any way shape or form - honestly, I often have no clue what I am doing - but if you need some friendly advice, I’m always here to help! :-) Sound interesting? Subscribe to my channel (it is completely free) and do not miss a thing!
Lots of love,
Laurie

The first natural deodorant I tried worked like a charm, It's called The Natural Deodorant company, UK based and comes in a cream, balm, sensitive or a version for very active people. . It works better than regular deodorant and I've tried it in *every* activity and climate over the past 6 years. I always use the sensitive cream in tangerine and never need to re-apply.

To those like yourself and myself who are comparing this to Rexona/Sure - it's NOT THE SAME. The latter is an _antiperspirant_. It's designed to clog up your sweat glands from the outside so that you don't do something that your skin would otherwise naturally do - excrete sweat. Having 100% dry armpits is not a natural feature to a human being, it's our culture and society and age that have made us THINK this should be a thing. On that note, wearing the same tops for days without needing a wash is... an odd thing to have happen, at least if you view their purpose other than just fashion choices? Bacteria still gathers on you, and in your pits, and is in contact with whatever you wear, so washing clothing is despite the wear and water usage a good thing. I am also a rather easily perspiring person, so I was iffy about trying Wild, BUT... it's muuuch healthier than clogging up your skin with metallic salts and other compounds, even if it means the odd re-swipe on a particularly active or warm day, some stainage - I haven't had as much an issue and I wear a lot, a lot of black - and sometimes, let's face it, getting wet patches. WHICH IS A NATURAL THING, ladies! xD It's not the end of the world. Still, I go through the day SMELLING better, and that works for me.

I appreciate you creating the chapters for this video so I could skip through them. Honest and useful review, thanks! Edit: I also work in marketing and I get your point. If you really are sustainably minded you wouldn't buy Ltd edition cases, just smells. I hope the company uses the Ltd edition cases for new client acquisition, creating the sense of urgency to buy their first Wild now bc it's Ltd edition. I'm also considering it (hence watching reviews now), but incl shipping to the Netherlands its quite expensive and also the individual shipping itself isn't that sustainable. Thanks for the great review!

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed my video. I do hope that people don't fall into the "trap" of buying limited edition cases if they've already got one. You'd think if you were sustainably minded you wouldn't but still, in a consumerist world it's easy to fall into! I hope generic deodorant brands will start developing more sustainable/reusable packaging - not sure if the natural versions work for me haha!

hey girlie!! i haven’t tried natural deodorant but i am super sweaty too (to this day i’m still terrified of grey lmao). i use triple dry deodorant and it’s the only thing that has managed to stop me sweating. you apply it at night, which was a bit of learning curve and it takes a couple of weeks to begin with to build up protection but after that it was genuinely the first time my armpits had been dry in years!! i still apply regular deodorant in the mornings for scent cause personally i think their unscented version works best but i honestly can’t fault it. (although i also have sensitive skin and for the first few applications there is a little bit of itching if i’m honest, but if you can push through it i would say it’s totally worth it) i just thought i’d let you know in case you wanted to give it a go xx

Thanks for the honest review. Been debating if I should give Wild a try...Also in marketing but agree with your comments and also find the level of marketing they do a bit much and really pushy...I feel like I would prefer to make my own choices in purchases, rather than being prompted/ "guided" to a decision/ multiple purchases. I also have super sensitive skin so I think after seeing your reaction this will not be for me. I love the idea of less chemicals on my skin etc, but currently just changing my shampoo has led me to a massive dry scalp issue. Also my deodorant lasts a LOT longer than 1 month, generally using something generic and liquid, which easily lasts 4-6 months with use every day! So not a better choice for me in this respect I feel.

I have been use this for a while. Occasionally it doesn't work as well as it might. Cotton and sea salt is my go to. The only problem I have is the end of the cartridge a little of the product gets left. Changing cartridges is not easy you have to roll the bottom right down before removing it is just remembering that because each refill last a long time. Happy with the product overall.

this is random, but ive started using a deodorant in the last 6 months or so which is basically the same as your rexona one. prior to that was just using a standard roll on antipersperant which still left me with wet pits. i find with the clinical one that even tho i dont sweat at all on the first (and even the 2nd day, if anything its minor) after applying it but i do find i actually smell a bit. its like it traps the sweat under and it cant breathe and its stinky? but then if i air my pits for a while it goes away. do you or does anyone else experience this?

The problem is, bicarbonate tend to irritate the skin, but its one of the main ingredient to natural deodorants. I use them and for me, it works. This stain my shirts in white but it comes clear after washing. But I dont live in uk so when I order them, they come by plane. The irony of my 3 tiny cases of bamboo taking planes way more often than me… (i order 3 cases every 3months) is it really sustainable ? I definitely think not. In my country there is not really good alternatives of normal deodorant. I tried the Native ones but they dont ship anymore to my place and btw they come also from far away by plane.

I had that kind of allergic reaction too when I first switched to natural deodorant. My dermatologist said that I am basically allergic to my sweat. I only experienced it after switching to a natural deodorant because regular deodorant is supposed to limit amount of sweat by blocking the sweat glands in your armpit.

I don't think tour dermatologist looked into it really, because reaction with natural deodorant is mostly sue to baking soda (there are ones without it if you're interested) and it's mostly not allergic but irritation. Blocking sweat is really bad for your body and the products that are used for it too (though some people are in fact allergic to their sweat it's really not that common). But this week ive noticed ive started smelling and needing to shower more or apply more to prevent it. I tried to google and thought maybe bacteria is building up under my arms? Since it has less chemicals in it to fight that(?) So i did anti bacterial soap wash and cleaned my underarms with rubbing alcohol. Definitely noticed a lot of itching and burning as well as stickiness. Im not sure if this is the transition period? But its definitely not working for very long anymore and causing a small rash almost. Im not typically someone who sweats or smells too much so Im a bit torn. An allergy isn’t really something you can predict though, nor in any way an indicator to making a deodorant “bad”. They do, however, have a sensitive line without baking soda if that’s what’s triggering.

I just started using it good so far but I hope I don't get a reaction. Tried Schmidt ( I think that's the name) and it had sodium bicarbonate and it gave me so much pain. If the same happens with wild I will try the sensitive range. First night wearing it working hard physical job nd sweating smelled fantastic I'm also male.

This product sounds rubbish. Look into Driclor. It's a powerful antiperspirant that works. However not sure how it works with shaving armpits.

Natural deodorants are not antiperspirant no aluminum.

A lot of natural ongredients are allergens! That's the biggest problem with natural products. Bee wax/honey, for example, is an allergen for a looot of people. I don't know how this is more sustainable. Because my normal Dove I buy 2 times per year so it's relatively low plastic waste from me. However if I will use these reusable things, ordering again and again, I waste more for the travelling of products so CO2 anyways. So I'm not sure about this.
