Used to walk and bivouac here thirty years or more ago. In three days possibly might see one other person, and there were no eroded paths. Pity that by visiting these special places we help to destroy them.

Love the spectacular views. Can't wait for the day each hut has full service vending machines, free wifi, running hot water, boat/equipment sales and rental that take credit cards, and of course, an attached bar and restaurant if you want a quick meal (like a Wendy's or taco bell.

Did this couple of days ago. Bit of a scramble to get there but not too hard or long (we took the lifts up and down from the Cafe) and absolutely worth it for the views near the top. Your video was very helpful as not experienced with off track hiking - thanks!

Hi Lauren, thanks, glad to have helped. I used approx. 2.1 metres of 3mm width bungee cord from my local army surplus store - you can buy it by the metre. You'll need to buy a toggle end with an apperture wide enough to slot both ends (6mm) to close it off and expand / tension your load. Could also try camping stores and ebay. Ciao. Happy travels, 😀
