This era of music always sounds warm and cosy, like a soft blanket. My dad used to play Glenn Miller . I’m 73 now and still like it. Hope my dad can hear it

In the early 80s I was driving back to LA from Vegas. My wife was next to me, and in the back seat were her mother and aunt and uncle, all widowed. Looking for some music I came across a radio station playing big band classics. As we drove on the California high desert under a canopy of stars, this music transported the trio back though time. Their bodies were with us, but their minds and memories were decades back in a happier time, dancing with their future partners. As we approached LA the music faded, but softly from the back seat came "Thank you Michael".

The dubbing is a bit distracting, but how beautiful this classic version is.
