I like getting the remains of old furniture, but am hesitant to take it apart myself since I feel I'm not good enough to make something better for now. Might make exceptions for pine, but with good woods? Would not want to ruin it.^^

What is the proper term for that L square with the holes in it you start using at 3:43? I've been needing one of those, but don't know what to call it so I can buy one.

Enjoyed your conversion very much. You gave me great inspiration to covert my four-month-old Dewalt DWE7491RS Contractor Saw into a cabinet saw. I used flatted ½" sheet cast iron plate (thicker than most true high-end cabinet saws) 31½ x 44" (support with adjustable round steel tubes) to construct my top and hard Maple for cabinet. It turned out spectator. Thank you.

Why would you cut that table top into such small pieces? Now you have to glue them all back together in order to make a table.

Looks great, but more engineering and tools required than I'm looking for. Interest in basic bird house from scrap, simplest construction. Going in a wooded area, want to make half a dozen from scrap wood.

As a helpful hint, screwing into the plywood layers is not going to do well if the joint ever gets stressed. You are lucky it did not splinter up as you set the screws in. (Probably because you pilot holed those spots). It works much better to use a bead of wood glue then clamp or just tack together until the glue is dried. Much less headaches and a better construction. I think you’ll be pleased with the results. Hope that helps.

Why not screw into the studs instead of using drywall screws

  • @zenginellc

I really wish I saw that anchored in studs, ideally with rods. I'm wincing at the thought of someone attempting to sit on it and it ripping right out of the drywall 😭

Many different designs for each type of project are also included. For example, there are hundreds of designs kzread.infoUgkxb2mhCug-GkCWrq69Ce2I0nM0D4QpxAqu for outdoor buildings, from small sheds all the way up to a complete stable. Choose whatever type of shed or storage house is right for you. Pick from fancy ones or more utilitarian designs.

Nice work. I'm here because I'm looking to make a few improvements to my own saw. I would fit a riving knife if I was you. Stops the wood from pinching onto the back of the blade and kicking back.
