SCAM ALERT. Took my money. No product, no response, no refund. I've contacted my CC company
Link?
Still no ETA on the improved shower head on their website 😢
all of that is wonderful but how about the coffee it makes??? You could heat my water in a sauce pan and pour my coffee through a glove if it tastes like the best coffee I have ever had…. Don’t care about the feel and magnets, I wanna know about the coffee!!
I don’t do espresso and I want a responsive and beautiful display that clearly tells me when to stop pouring since I’ll be half asleep when making coffee. The Fellow beats the açaí or whatever in my book. Plus it looks more premium.
Love that you guys provide coffee water. Wish I had something like that in Toronto!
Is @coffeehaus still releasing the moccamaster shower head upgrade? The pre order is still up but the last update i saw was a year ago.
Any update on the prototype? This was posted a year ago. Is the pre order still active?
For the cost of Moccamaster brewing machines; the company should be ashamed for not having better design on their extremely expensive product.
I don’t have a ton of experience in coffee so this helps. Was definitely considering Bones coffee and then saw this. QUESTION Would this kind of coffee be better with a cold brew process? Is it the heat that destroys the flavor?
Is coffeehaus a real company? I’ve tried contacting you multiple times over the last few months via your contact form and text message (advertised on the site) and have been totally ghosted. Despite the other response to the other comment in this video, I’ve lost faith that you will deliver the shower head and would really like for you to refund me my money you’ve been holding on to for over a year. Please do better at actually responding to people who have paid you money for an undelivered product.
I've been enjoying my xbloom studio so far. I enjoy the the level of control you can or don't want to have. You really can go as full auto lazy or as manual as you want with it which is great.
Loved this review - Thank you!
Where is the “shower head” for the Mocca Master that I paid for and you promised? Your credibility has plummeted in my view.
We’ve been working on nailing a supplier down for roughly 18 months; this is a difficult product to manufacture, but we’re consistently pushing. Via the website: If you are ordering this, you are entering into a pre-order. We are working through a production queue with no date yet on ETA. I get about 100 emails a day asking about this, so please be patient while we work towards an ETA. Thank you! As always - happy to refund you if you email me with your order number!
Luke, I'm surprised you suggest using distilled water and then adding a Third Wave Water Packet to get the perfect blend of mineral water. The Moccamaster instructions say, "We do not recommend using reverse osmosis filtered water or distilled water, as it can damage the brewer's boiling element."
But when you add minerals back to distilled water, it's no longer distilled water. It's also not reverse osmosis filtered
Is the average Joe really going to taste the difference? Why wouldn’t Moccamaster have thought of this already? Wonder if they have a reason for their current design.
Had the first one, Have the second one........HOWEVER is there anyone associated with this machine that can effectively show you how to program and save your recipe to your recipe card. No one goes step by step. I set the grind, set the temp, set the volume etc etc and yet it save nothing ?????I am reaching out everywhere I can my wife and simply want to automate our receipt without the science lesson???????????? We like strong, hot coffee non of the roast you can buy from the roster group, even though they indicate 5 beans in strength still cannot get a bold rich cup like my Moccamaster. That said its a great machine once you can get set up properly......
35:05 Can I try a little of that espresso? Ahh thank you!
16:00 I think they're going to have multiple options for the bottom, seems to be a current trend with some new brewers that you can use one brewer and get different results or flow rates with interchangeable bottom pieces so one single brewer can act like many. Try the coffee pods too, the recipe is made by the roaster so should give you really good results if you want an easy coffee without having to dial in anything. Worth TRYING at least :D That was another reviewers favorite part of the machine! People probably complained about the top of the grinder being open, nice to be able to close it, maybe not for popcorning reasons but just to prevent dust or things from falling in when it's not in use. Also I noticed on many grinders (haven't tested this particular device though) if you have a lid on it, it quiets down the grinding noise a bit. Why'd the 1:17 ratio recipe card give you a 1:15 brew ratio? Or what I was thinking is that it's not the ratio maybe it was showing 15 as the starting coffee weight? So if you had 12g or 16g in there you can adjust that and it will do the appropriate 1:17 ratio from that starting weight? I didn't read the manual so just guessing. Update: It stopped at 225ml which with a 15g starting dose is a 1:15 ratio, so I guess that wasn't what I thought!
This was a great review and more in depth compared to others. I thought your conclusion was valid. I've owned the original since the Kickstarter machines shipped out, and have had my Studio for a few weeks now. Studio is an impressive step forward for xBloom, and I'm happy to own one.
Tthe reason its comes off..In the future XBloom will be offer different flow control options that will be available to use.
@15:02 I have the exact same issue in the xbloom studio I received last week from pre order. Xbloom support just shrugged off
they know it is faulty and do not want to acknowledge it. pour over machine that overextract on one side. they want to sell you the xpods instead. you are not alone.
Great review! I appreciated your take! As a veteran coffee snob with a solid home setup, I was considering the original for my classroom (I teach high school band), as a super easy option for making a cup between classes, or something my students/visitors can use easily, then the Studio dropped and I had to get my preorder in! I love that its even better to use with good local roaster's coffee! The pods are nice, but a bit too expensive. I love that I can have a container in the cabinet and not have to refill the machine every day! Again thanks for the review!
I think it suits another market as well, which is why I'm getting it. I have an entire espresso ecosystem in my home with the grinder and all, but we know that it's pretty time consuming and also sometimes you just wanna have a pourover. This is great because it hits both itches for me. It gives me the option to automate a brew for those mornings I don't have time to make a full-on espresso drink. But also it gives me an all-in-one package to do/test out pourover. My grinder doesn't do non-espresso particularly well, so diving into pourover would be an expensive endeavor without even counting the rest of the gear I'd need, and this neatly packages the whole thing for me.
my Amex was charged October of 2023. no acknowledgment receipt, nothing. help a guy out please?
Absolutely - can you please email me [email protected]?
@@Coffeehaus emil was sent several days ago. no response
Give me just a min, I’ll check!
Fyi the dripper has that same issue on the one i have as well. Very annoying
You have to shim it unfortunately
@@6tuf85dyfu I just added a tiny piece of double sided command strip into where it slides in at the top and it's perfect now
The XB1 has too many quirks and glitches regularly. The XB1 could do the basic recipe with the reusable dripper, but when I tried to do my own recipes that’s where it was disappointing. They haven’t continued to make XB1 all that better, so it feels like I got duped for a pretty machine that doesn’t function like they promised. That or they set the expectations too high for XB1
I think the XBloom studio is what I wished the XB1 was going to be. All that to say, I’m selling it to get the Fellow Aiden.
Definitely looking forward to trying the Aiden out.
@@Coffeehausme too. I think it will pair well with a fellow ode with Gen2 burrs.
18 months later...
The only problem is the sound of these grinders is terrible they rattle and sound broken but they grind really well so it’s something you have to live with.
It's been a year. Some respect for costumers with an update?
still doing a 40$ pre-order a year later? Seem's kinda scammy... Like most everyone here, I would probably buy an all metal production model, but not 40$ on a wish.
No screwdriver ?
Thats going to be fun to delime
But he never talked about the taste of the coffee. Did I miss that?
My anxiety when he put fingers inside the cup: 📈📈📈📈📈
Shut up and take my money
does this grinder stand the test of time???
According Moccamaster recipe for full pot is 68.7 grams of coffee, not 60 grams

Anyone know a quick fix to the middle setting not pouring? Thanks
Wish it wasn't toxic plastic
Just tried your decaf……the biggest fan
Can you tell me what all your accessories are? I need the tea brewer and whatever else
Isn’t it supposed to be over gelato?
It is Gelato. He used Talenti brand. He just mistakenly said ice cream

@@Kquan1 ohhhhh gotcha! 😁👍
Don't order it. I've been waiting almost 18 months and I'm getting ready to report this guy to the FTC for fraud.
😂
Did MoccaMaster put on stop on this? No updates after a year?
Do they not make the sky blue color anymore? Can’t find any online.
This was SO helpful for someone looking for competent performance for French press, pour over, and espresso! I'd narrowed down to a list of 3 grinders, but as you mentioned about the math involved, I'm not the science-focused coffee drinker. So many reviews I've watched harp on the precision aspect which I just don't have time for almost ever. To have freshly ground beans, consistency for my couple main brewing methods, and easy cleanup - I'm sold.
