the music sucks
And yet other people have commented that they like it.
Mjolnir. I only wear it if I'm preparing to venerate the gods. Iggdrasil. To me, it represents a connectedness of all things. I wear this mostly. I primarily connect with the Land Spirits. I talk to my local land spirits every morning before sunrise. I leave offerings that the animals in the backyard can consume.
Most often I drum, but also sing and dance. You can both sing and dance yourself in to a trance. I love it when the song " sings you " ❤ And I light candels and talk freely from the heart..... theres many ways, and you are never alone. You can feel alone, but that is a passing feeling and not the whole truth. You are The Belowed ❤❤❤
Man that festival looks cool. Hopefully I can go in 2025.
Where abouts are you based?
@@therideinmidgard Up in Hamilton.
@@Ceolskog-Folk-Metal-Hiking might see you there in 2025. Its worth going for the whole weekend.
@@therideinmidgard Will it be held in February?
To me wearing our Mjolnir gives us independent rights and freedoms that we don't have to fight violently for and it also divides us from the dominant white race that scares far too many innocent multicultural allies of ours who are from many different races.
Im an atheist, the only reason i wear it is to show respect to my ancestors and heritage 🙂👍🏻
I am Spiritual not religious. I carry many different symbols with me out of wishing protection from them, and given respect for those older beliefs.
It has many meanings to me it's for protection fertility and it reminds me my ancestors are always with me it reminds me of my inner strength the connection I feel to the old ways is definitely more prevalent while I wear it
Mjolnir has a lot of meanings to me... It represents the following: Strength Faith Protection Memory & Thought But also manifesting will and intend to manifest Hamr (Form) into reality. That would be my personal development and growth.
Very nice
Very interesting question to ask on a daily basis. This symbol in my opinion represents a growing force and understanding of all things pre Christians understood as the natural world, or at least some that try to preserve the more ancient ways stemming from something more ancient and older. I seek alot of wisdom from all traditions and pre Christian paths and even the rig vedas but overall all the people stem from a common or similar indo european belief and cosmology. The symbol represents constant growth and development or rather adapting to this time and now, because this practice is organic and always growing and not stagnate like words on parchment or literature.
There is a few in NZ, danny just left Hamilton for france but he was doing hand poked, obsidian, etc historical tattoos. I'll have to show you the back piece he did on me
Shot bro I remember being hungover af was worried my answers would be gibberish good job editing out my rambling haha
A symbol of strength and protection. The hammer represents a tool that can build or be used for self-defense. There are still a lot of lion-hearted warriors and protectors who wear this. Unfortunately, it has also been somewhat hijacked by larper cowards who wear masks when they are told and are ok with the enslavement of their brethren. Run and hide in a hole if you wish.....
To me personally, it's about being the protector and provider like Thór himself. A tangible reminder who I am as a father and husband with all the responsibilities and tasks that come with being that. Mjölnir reminds me of the lessons of our ancestors. They walk with me, their strength is mine and that of my children. Verthú heilir from the Netherlands!
For me it's a symbol of the old ways, it symbolizes strength, protection and represents my ancestors and also being carved out of ponamu it represents me as a NZr and thor is one of my patreon gods......
I so wanna pounamu Mjolnir!
We wear them because we are Heathens, Honoring the Aesir and Vanic Gods. To put the christians on notice that we are not to be trifled with, and won't take any more crap off of them. Skal!
It might help you get the strength from the god who protects the outside, who is bold, who is strong, who is brave, and who is faithful to his wife.
For me it's all about my history, heritage, culture and faith. I also wear a Celtic cross with my hammer for the same reasons, except for the religious aspect. To a point. Jesus did deliver a good message. It's what the Christians have done to it that bothers me.
Not all christians, I went to Greece one day last year and attended a orthodox liturgy. Didn't understand anything but it is was infinitely better than my local lutheran churches. People came and left when they wanted, the doors were always open and people stood up when they felt the presence of God rather than when the priest told them to stand. If you come in late in a lutheran church people look at you angrily, as if it were middle-school and you were late for class. It's a shame, really.
Your altar may be small and simple, but it has taught us much. You've solved many problems we face with this useful information. Many of us are plagued by the past and we must remember spring is a time for renewal. May the Aesir and Vanir bless you with all their gifts. Hail, brother!
knowing a bit about black smithing I've always interpreted Mjolnir as a representation of the human heart with the beating of the hammer being the heart beat and the strength of human vitality. to me it makes sense as he is not only the thunder God but the God of the common working ppl. I'm terrible at explaining myself so sorry if that makes no sense to you
"Spears sway" thats what she said
What would you wear to honor Loki?
Maybe a sythe or something that represents him cutting Siffs hair.
Good video. I could understand a soldier in battle wearing it but otherwise I agree with what you’ve said.
Thank you, many people disagree with the points I made but I still think they hold up. It's good to have some people agree so I know I'm not way off.
HEIL FREYJA
I have a tattoo of a sword, the hilt being Thors hammer sitting in front of the eternal knot, with a large dragon behind them all. To celibate my roots and the mythology of the old ways.
Because we're not heathens anymore. Because the modern socialliberala left propaganda has deemed it being flirting with nazism, at least here in Sweden. #politics #people #propaganda ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
🙂👍🙋♂️🇧🇻
I love it. I love your altar and intent.
I wear both
Thanks so much for sharing very nice and impressive!!!
Thanks so much for sharing
Gungnir was also used to pierce Odin's side when he hung from the tree, from his blood supposedly came the Runes. So wisdom and/or magickal intuition perhaps can also be associated with Odin's spear.
I wear a Neck Knife every chance I get. I am okay with all of your religious symbols. My God tells me to be practical. NOH8.
Im shocked my own people have rejected the middle eastern religion forced upon us in the Middle Ages and brutally enforced for centuries thereafter! How dare we not be Chrissstians!
As one who owns a gungnir pendant, I find it can be a boost to my intuition both inside of and outside of meditation. It has all 25 runes and the valknut as well. My interest lies in both that I am close to Odin, and the Gungnir's ability from the legends is that it always hits it's target. True, Odin is a god of war and death, however he is also a god of wisdom, poetry, as well as the lord of ecstasy. It's not all war and death with Odin.
Death is love. 😊
I only wear it because it looks cool and gothic. I don’t believe in a poor recreation of a dead religion, but I do think the little symbols look pretty badass.
Because he was a bit of a knob. Wise, sure. But also capricious, self-absorbed and, well, a ballsack. Thor was a bit more relatable, and attentive, to the common folk
True, but it isn't just a spear, it is Odin's spear as you said. Odin does not go around throwing his spear to stir up conflict and chaos. He wields it with temperance and control until the time comes to strike a decisive blow against a rising threat to peace and order. In a way then, it could be worn to signify that the wearer understands the time for peace and the time for war. We do live in a world of conflict unfortunately, so I don't mind being prepared to throw down the spear.
I take your point (pun) however I think that Thor's hammer symbolises that meaning more so than Odin's spear.
Because we are polytheists and Thor is the defender of the cosmic order and humanity. Odin is the power inside… we are not henotheists, they are supposed to be worshipped together All the Aesir are a team
Hello from America. Thank you for the information. I'm an American exploring my heritage and roots.
Speak for yourself 😎 The spear represents the seeking of knowledge. I will wear the Mjolnir when I can press twice my bodyweight.
Thor spent most of his time killing giants with his hammer. He had a sharp temper and tended to whip out his hammer and try to kill anything that annoyed him a bit. So to me, Thor's hammer seems to be a much more violent and warmongering symbol than Odin's spear. In the stories, there is only like twice that Odin uses his spear in battle. But Thor uses his hammer in almost every story.
I do it for spiritual reasons, and religous identity. Hi from America
