G'day and welcome to my channel! But really it's our channel, because all these videos, they're for you!
Originally I started making guides for Hearts of Iron IV, with the aim of being the helping hand to learn the game that I never had. Over time that has turned into more and more varied types of videos on more and more varied games. Mostly in the strategy genre, but I do enjoy long walks in other games too.
So if you're into (hopefully) educational and helpful videos with a sprinkling of mid humour, you're in the right place!
Also if you like my videos and would like to help me out, it means a lot to me when you leave comments letting me know! And if you don't like my videos, well, keep that to yourself...
If you are a brand that is looking to work with me, please contact me via my email below, or via my discord, whichever you prefer.

Honestly this is way better than some other guides
I don't know how people can play strategy games at this speed. It's more about reflexes than strategy. Multiplayer definitely ain't for me.
@@jackthehat1093 this was only on three speed, but the mod we use does speed it up a little bit. We are not then happy to pause/slow it down since a lot of our players are new to mp 😀
Paraguay dont miss
The navy isn't hard to play it's just useless. In my last game I defeated Germany by April 1939 as Great Britain. There was 1 small naval battle at the beginning of the war then I didn't need the main fleet again for the rest of the game. I had hundreds of reserve ships that I had no use for. Researching new ship models was a complete waste of time. Submarines are the only naval units with any utility. Although raiding enemy convoys is completely pointless. It doesn't affect the German or Italian stability or war support, it just gives you a load of annoying alerts.
Has refitting been nerfed? I followed this guide but instead of 73 days the tooltip says it would take 700+ days to refit the cruisers.
@@hortamaciel no it hasn't, you might be accidentally refitting to the wrong design, when you make multiple forms of the same design now it'll hide them, make sure to check the "show outdated designs" button!
@@hammotimee that was it, thanks1
Good video but to fast sir .... some of us are slow lol
Lol this thing is so reliable it basically falls into pieces as soon as it leaves the front gates of the factory :D
So, just to understand: The market access is always a 2-way thing? As Germany, I cannot give market access to e.g. China unless I also HAVE market access to their goods? Correct?
@@JesperAndersen yep that's right!
Part 2 plox
do you use any mods?
Nope all vanilla baby
One more thing will tanks be included in the updated guide?
Really nice tutorial looking foward to watch your other contents!
Thanks alot - Your explanations are always v clear and helpful. If you do a part 2 can I ask does reliability matter - I think it does for tanks and I always try for 90%+, but for everything else I just ignore it. That might be a big mistake ! Cheers MMM
@@montymechanizedmarines of course! Thanks so much and great question 😀 for me about 60% is fine, any higher and it tends to be a bit of a waste!
“Its not that bad” 8 soft attack tank
@@monke7819 more for adding armour and hardness to a division than increasing soft attack but I hear ya!
This video is the best! I have 200 hours on hoi4 but there’s still a lot of things idk know about.
i have spend a full minute of my time laughing
10 horses ? you know witht the actual system only 1 does the same job
Um acktually 🤓 when you have a higher combat width with the MPs it uses less support equipment
I like how he always acts so... human. If you're watching him, it doesn't feel like you're watching some random KZreadr or NPC. You can actually relate and it feels like he actually means what he says. HammoTimee, you rock 🤘🏻
Oi, that's so fkn nice, thank you so much! 😍I'm really glad you think so since that's what I aim for! Just trying to be a normal person making silly little videos, not a "content creator" haha
Hello, I recently found your channel and I have to say, you're good at explaining, I learned more about the game from the few days I've been watching! I am still pretty much a newb at the game, but I am slowly getting better. Out of curiosity though, could you ever do a Netherlands playthrough? I'd especially love to see a non-aligned ( the Wilhelmism focus) holdout against germany, you'd really make my day if you ever did that. A Bevrijding achievement would be amazing too ( where you flee to the DEI and later return). Still, keep doing what you do, you're doing great :D
Thanks so much!! I really appreciate it and I'm glad to help 😊 You will never believe your luck, but I did that exact playthrough recently (Wilhelmina Netherlands) on stream over on Twitch, I've got it sitting with my editor now, should be out in a few weeks (I've got another one due to come out first). Great timing!
@@hammotimee No way, talk about luck indeed! Well, you earned yourself a sub with that my friend, thanks alot, and I look forward to that, and other content!
Which major country guide will you do next?
@@truelightningstriker5803 🗾 🍙🍡 ☀️☀️☀️
@@hammotimee When is it expected to come out?
So if I make a panzer general should it all be tank divisions or should I be mixing in motorised rocket divisions for soft attack alongside the tanks? Like 12 tank divs and 12 motors.
@@portman8909 personally I would have the 12 tank divisions under a panzer leader, then your rocket motorised under the cavalry/motorised expert, then put them both under a good attacking field Marshall and use field Marshall frontlines and attack orders 😄
As a German player that increased German factory count to 340, i watched this cause yes
@@oooshafiqooo hahaha appreciate it!
How does anti air work? Is it worth it to build anti air cannons? Whats the difference between anti-air as support vs in the template. Would a concentrated anti-air division defend the surrounding divisions, or just itself?
11:00 dot you mean david boggins idk i dont watch it
Wat
The thing is I could micro like 300 tiles at once for 5 years or just do some encirclements and battleplan afterwards
Also, building civilian factories as Germany wastes all the benefits from MEFO bills. Isn't it better to build things that are already bonused considerably? Love to see a part two. Thanks!
Yes and also no, you need to build civilian factories sooner rather than later to maximise the output of the new factories built. The more civs you have the more your industry compunds and allows you to build more things, even in spite of the penalties
@@hammotimee Thanks. I take Poland early in order to get my civs.
Great video. I was told on the HOI4 forum that motorized infantry is crap and to never use it. Why is that? Seems like adding a bunch of trucks to infantry would make them faster + motorized artillery would be better than standard infantry + standard artillery. Thanks!
A lot of these forums talk about the meta way to play. Motorised are good until you get to mechanised, then you should swap over when you can
@@hammotimee Good to know. Thanks.
Actually I use motorized 9 times out of 10. For SP they are fine. I pair them with light tanks and the 11-12km speed is great. I swap to mediums when I have enough industry. Mechs are better, but the war's over by the time this gets to the top of my production priority. ??
@@montymechanizedmarines agreed! For singleplayer they're more than sufficient
Lets gooouuuu
What is the best time to change tamplates?
When you have the equipment and XP to do so 😄😄

Question on air supremacy: I play as the US with your fighter templates and always get smashed by Germany in Europe. any tips or suggestions what I'm doing wrong?
Use 4x heavy mgs instead of cannons, use heavy fighters and build max radar where you can to help in the airwar, don't forget to exercise your planes
@@hammotimee should I focus on heave fighters instead of regular or both of them? If both- is there a mix/ ratio you can recommend?
How do I make lots of tanks as Germany? I have been trying to spam out tanks but have failed every time. The only thing I am good at is spamming Calvary which is not as good. Please help ❤
Start building mils from around 1938 and get at least 25 factories on tanks before doing anything else
@@hammotimee thx
Bro please do a japan guide, love your vidoes btw❤❤
Working on it! And thank you 😄😄
Pharaoh, how do I get a HOI4 girlfriend? Thanks
Stop looking and one will find you 🧙♂
15:45 CAS design anti tank 2 and two rocket rails max range + SSFT is goated
I'll check it out!
@@hammotimee needs engines and small airframe 3. Sometimes will trade range for Dive brakes, but normally by then I’ve got complete air superiority unless I’m playing Finland or something and still waiting for the favorable trades to whittle down the worlds airplanes
Great tips! Regarding army division nearby the name you can also chose to do a division from scratch, it’s maybe a beginner tip but after hundreds of hours I had not see it…There are time it will save you army xp ( for instance to create small cav template if you have none for fast cap).
You the DLCs should be on the base game. Why the hell did they need to release dlc just to complete focus trees that should have been filled out in the first place??
I know! I’m only gonna get La Resistance just for the intelligence agency tab because it seems like everyone has that! 😐
@@Finlandball39 man the guns and no step back get the best reviews. I was gifted the former and will get the later on sale. Lots of people didn't like La resistence
Why is the heart made of iron? Is this some pro strat I don't know about?
It takes a steel heart to commit to learning this game lmao
Normal soldiers when they get jumped by paratroopers:
the new update seems to nerf the engine thrust for small aircraft so i cant copy your template now
It does a bit, I would use the engine 3 with 2 modules of 4x heavy MGs and should be able to get it pretty close
thank you so much, i never knew how many factories i needed on production
Happy to help!
Ahhhh finally! 600h+ and i learned what combat width actually is :D I heared over and over about optimal combat width and so on but never what it actually does, thanks <3
Glad to help out!
What are railway guns and how does one use them
Ooo when you build them, they deploy on the map and can move along railway lines, they give a +10% (maybe 15%?) bonus to your troops in combat! Just move them so their circle is across your front, they don't stack though so spread them out
Watched in the premier and just wanted to tell you how amazing your channel is and thank you for all of the tips ❤
Thank you so much Noah! I appreciate it 😄
Watched it with you on Livestream, amazingly helpful! You should be an Professor or something, not many people do such a good job in explaining, often i watch tutorials and they say do this and this and i end up doing it but always wondering why i do it. What kinda bothers me because sometimes friends ask me for tips and then i can just say this and this because someone else said so instead of explaining the mechanics to them like you do! So with your skill you may actually bring on a snowball system of knowledge <3
Thanks so much! That's so kind I super appreciate it 🥰 send my channel to your friend, maybe it'll help them too!
@@hammotimee Of course i'll do! We gonna do the hammotimee Academy and then rule every Playtrough together :D
