Dr. i had standard mono inserted with an ERM condition will any lens help me i am scared to have the other eye done because eye with the ERM is a failure with vison what can i do for better acuity.

In order to have an intraocular lens exchange (IOLX), your surgeon would need to examine your eyes to determine the pros/cons of performing the procedure for you.

Had this done on May 28th 2024, the Surgeon has to do 29 clicks to get it clear is that par for the course? I am seeing much better in my left eye now, had the implant done 3 years ago. My right eye has my born with lens. Didnt need that one done. Thanks for this video.

I will have to have IV sedation when I have cataract surgery in the future. It is surprising that some people do not have IV sedation when having eye surgery.

I had Radial keratotomy in both eyes in the early 90’s. Now my corneas are flat in some areas making it very difficult to fully correct my vision with glasses. Are lens implants an option for people who have had RK?

@weop907tgb 0 seconds ago I had LAL implants a little over a year ago and have already had the left eye replaced with a vivity and I'm having the right eye replaces as soon as possible. My doctor believes that my body rejected the silcone LAL lenses causing cells to form on the lenses. I'm not sure i agree with that my vision became extremely blurry (partly due to some pco but mostly cells forming on the lenses) to the point that I had to have it replaced. The LAL in my right eye has become blurry as well. I have had the vivity for a few months now and I love the clarity. and near vision. I do not reccomend tht LAL lenses if you are trying to see near and far, the mimi mono vision is a harsh adjustment. I'm still trying to decide which lens to do in. my right eye because I have a strong perscription and will need some lasik if I use the vivity.
Thanks for the detailed explanation of the new IOLs. As you note, the lens choice depends on the patient's needs. When I decided to have my cataracts removed, I opted for a mono-focal lens set for distance. I had already been experiencing halos at night caused by the cataracts, and I didn't want to possibly continue to see halos by choosing a multi-focal IOL; my goal was good night vision for driving. I was already accustomed to wearing glasses with progressive lenses, and becoming “glasses-free” wasn't my goal. The result with the mono-focal IOL is close to 20/20 distance vision, and I wear progressives for intermediate/near vision and astigmatism correction. It's also worth noting that mono-focal lenses are covered by Medicare, so the cost of the procedure was very affordable compared with the more expensive IOLs that are not covered.

We can evaluate and perform surgery to one or both eyes within one week. Cost for surgery will vary between $7,000-$9,500/eye if paying out of pocket. Preoperative testing and exam fees add about $600.

It happened to me once recently with much less fluid in the interface. I left it alone, and it disappeared on POD#1.
do you routinely use premium lenses in post-LVC patients? this patient does not seem to be bothered by aberrations but what are your general thoughts on this topic? thanks
We routinely use premium IOLs in post LVC/LASIK/PRK patients. We always assess the cornea topography and advise the patient of realistic expectations given their topography post LVC.

I had cataract surgery to do without glasses 12 days ago with the installation of a Clearon panoptix implant (+22.OD +2.17 Add and +3.25 Add) and since then I can no longer see far away. My vision is blurred, I am sad and desperate because I could see so much better before. My correction being OD (100°-0.25)+1.25, Addition +2.00 and OG (70°-0.25)+1.25, Addition +2.00. I regret this operation. I have to do the second eye at the end of the week but I don't want to go because the same correction is planned and I'm afraid of having the same problem. Where do you think this could come from? thanks for your response. Catherine
