I bought a 2nd hand SAAB and when I received it the remote locking on the key fob wasn't working so I have been unlocking manually. I have tried replacing the battery but that hasn't solved it. I think the previous owner must have not replaced the battery for a long while. Could this be the source of the problem? What can be done to solve do you think?

Okay I got stuck with command prompt after typing all that in multiple times, it follows up with, "command prompt cannot find path specified" I can follow it going through everything it listed going through my hard drive, I'm not sure what I'm missing?

These cylinders have a similar o-ring in the front end piston that's also made from the same material and likely has cracks and may start to leak (I disassembled several ones, and they had). The front piston is not so easy to secure so that it does not fall out. I am just out of curiosity decided to repair 4 cylinders from a friend’s 2004 Mercedes CLK320, and they have an absolutely similar design with the exception of the tip. And I haven't figured out how to reliably secure the front piston yet, but I have some ideas. Right now I'm waiting for the o-rings to be delivered; I decided to install fluorosilicone ones.

Update: for smaller cylinders, I used fluorosilicone seals #13 (100 pcs pack) and for larger ones - fluorosilicone #114 (25 pcs pack); both bought from amazon for about $20 for the each size. They are not 100% the same as the original ones, but seating well. I completely broke a part one of the cylinders just for a research and found than only 2 seal (for front and end pistons) had this cracking problem, and the rest of the seals were like new. I figure out a wat to assemble the cylinders: I carefully filed off a couple of millimeters in depth of the piston edges with a file, so that when installing the pistons, the cylinder body edges rose above the piston edge, and then I rolled them up with a small hammer (carefully hit the edge, deforming the metal). I don't know how reliable these cylinders will be after repair, but intuitively it looks reliable :) I'll try to add a short video to my channel where I'll show the gaskets and one finished cylinder.

Hello, I’ve got a Laser Red, 2005 Saab 9-5 Hirsch, same problem. I smell fuel But not so much at idle, mainly when driving, under heavy load is when it’s constantly smelling like fuel. I’ve also got P0455 As an Evap code. I’ve changed all visible lines that I can see and all my valves are the upgraded new metal check valves. What you’re doing in this video, I simply look there in my 9-5 and nothing is to be found. I’ve checked all my connections and hoses that I’ve changed but I find nothing. Why does my cabin smell of fuel under hard acceleration and where else should I be looking?

To a standard power it will not be noticeable in my opinion - BUT - changing normal snorkel with bigger one and also replacing air filter with a high-flow one (like Maptun or K&N) should make a difference - especially when engine is tuned or has LPG installed 👍

Sounds to me like the Tomcat service isn't running. Have you checked the GlobalTIS_TC6 service? Might also be worth checking that your firewall isn't blocking it.

Error 500 is "Internal Server Error" and is probably one of the most useless HTTP errors there is! what ssytem are you tryingt o install it on? Windows 10/11, x86 or x64 etc?

@@alxelin9546 that does indicate that something is hapening, yes. Perhaps connect the FTDI to the other pins (UART 2) and use a terminal program to see if there is any output.

@@alxelin9546 When connecting to the UART2 socket, you should just use a terminal program (Hyperterm or Putty) to look at the data on the line, it sounds like you are still using the flash program. Also, sorry for the late reply.

I noticed at 14:45 you put the slider in the opposite way around to the one you do at 32:02. Which way round is the correct way? I am having issues with my indicator stalk - I've cleaned it all up, put it all back and now the full beam is stuck on. Not sure what I've done wrong

Well spotted! The first one was indeed wrong. The pins should be facing outward otherwise they'd never touch the final contact points.

I had an issue where sometimes indicating right did nothing, this got progressively worse. So I took every apart like you did here, cleaned everything up and put it all back the same way you did. Now the left indicator is stuck on & so are full beams. Cruise Control still works. Not sure what has happened. Any ideas? I'm going to take it out again and have another look

That's about all I can suggest really. Perhaps check the direction of the little white slide inside. if it's around the wrong way, it may explain whats happening. Frank.

@@minnapinna123b2 It's an early Aero Manual and therefore has a different sump. 2 of the bolts are hidden and I need to drill 2 openings so that I can remove the bolts closest to the gearbox.

You left out the most important bit: How to disconnect the electrical connector. There is such a variety of pins and clips for the various electrical sensors that knowing exactly how to do each one is valuable information.

Thanks to you I've successfully enabled security access level 1 on my Tech 2 clone using the now installed Global TIS. It's allowed me to add parking sensors on my 2004 93 aero convertible. However, when trying to add an ICM2 instead of the original ICM1 or program pinch protection for the windows it's asking for security access via TIS 2000, which I don't yet have. I take it that TIS 2000, being older than Global TIS, requires an XP or Windows 7 install?

Now that you have GlobalTIS, you shouldn't need TIS2000 at all.

Hi, I have a 9-3 diesel 2008. No power is getting to the ICM. I know this as I took a live feed to the ICM wiring and dash lights came on, fuel pump powered up etc. What wire is the power feed to the ICM do you know ( colour(s) ) ? David.

According to WIS, On the CIM, Pin 1 is +30 (always powered) and Pin 23 is +15 (switched, meaning only when the ignition is on) Pin 7 is ground
