Ever since I was a kid my eyes were fixed on the sky and for a long time I wasn't able to follow through.
But in the early part of 2022 my wife said, "go for it... learn to fly". So I began my journey to becoming a private pilot.
Not long after that I saw that the opportunity to become a professional pilot was there. My amazing wife looked at me and said
"Life's too short Ken... Follow Your dreams!"
From that point on my focus (outside of my faith in God and my family) has been on earning my ratings, building time, and getting to know everyone and everything I could related to aviation!
Now I'm living the dream flying charter in the awesome Pilatus PC 12 and loving every minute of it!
Join me as I live the dream as a professional pilot!

Did you do the PC-12 Initial after Commercial rating, or did the Charter company send you to training after hire?

I 'm 36 years old and hold a European commercial pilot license. I became severely depressed after finding out how the industry works in Europe where most new pilots are paying the airlines to work and won't make any profit until several years of working. I even seriously considered immigrating to the USA and getting an FAA license but the current government only seems to be interested in importing illegals. Anyways, thank you for showing us your journey, it is really inspiring and has helped me push through even in such an uncertain future.
Keep working at it! There are some great opportunities here in the states... We love (legal) immigrants! Life's too short! Follow your dreams.

That's awesome. I'm 52 and retiring from the fire department in two years. I already have my private with about 130 hours. I was think about going through a part141 school to complete my training. My goal is to fly 135, hopefully. Any suggestions?
Definitely find a good part 61 school... you can get through faster and Taylor more towards your schedule
You can move as fast or slow as you want in part 61... What part of the country do you live in?
Retired from my factory job at 49 and started hauling checks, now at 66 flying 135 in a pc12 ngx

The irony that I stumbled across this video….my wife said to me in 2022 back home in Australia, that she’d support a decision for me to pick up my flying dream, and as I type this, as a 53 year old, in a flying school share house in California, I’m doing just that!

How many hours did you have to get this job?
It's really different for everyone and every different situation... Get yourself over 750 hrs and that will open up some doors!

You have to be at least 16 to get your student pilot certificate for airplanes. But! If you’re interested in gliders you can be as young as 14… Follow those dreams!!!

My wife has supported me through it all and that’s important. I went to Army Flight School at 39, started flying GUNSHIPS at 49 and jets at 51. It has taken us longer to get here but we will appreciate it more. Good luck!

Enrique always there to surprise you at how good of a pilot he truly is at such a young age… we usually do the flying so we forget how a actual trained pilot can maneuver theses machines in such a awesome way. -james
Yeah man! And that in turn makes us better pilots! It’s like the moment I thought “Hey I’m 3 miles from the airport and I can make it back with no engine!” That’s what happens when you’ve got great training from a great instructor!
My parents keep telling me im too old for flight school even though im only 24.😂😭All my friends have jobs and myself included but I much rather fly than doing anything else🤩
GO for it!!! There are ways for you to get it done quickly (Like a few months) or take a little more time like I did! The return on the investment of your time and money would be worth it! I wish I had at your age!!! Life's Too Short! Follow Your Dream!

if I wasent 59 pusing 60, id do this, but the extream cost anf 65 manditory retirment age, its not worth it.
