Leviathan Snakes

Leviathan Snakes

Hey friends! We are a hobby-level reptile breeder with a focus on ball pythons based just north of Augusta, GA and love making new friends. If you are new to the channel, please consider hitting the SUBSCRIBE button and leave a comment somewhere. We'd love to talk with you about anything from reptiles to books or pretty much anything else. (We're a bit nerdy which is where or sci-fi branding comes from).

Courtney started Leviathan Snakes back in 2020 which ended up with me getting hopelessly addicted to ball pythons as well. We love sharing our experiences and any insight that we have learned during the process, and due to our background tend to focus on the business side of breeding.

Thank you so much for watching, and we will see you every Wednesday!

This exact situation ruined a friendship and partnership. Some of us r in it for the journey and experience. Some r only about the $ and power. Personally id be stoked that my FRIEND got a great snake out of a split clutch. When any breeder friend has a great clutch/animal/season i get just as excited for them. Do it cause you love it and the journey will work itself out. Continuing to make banger video guys!

I know I probably sound dumb to the reptilian world, but what do the baby pythons use to “slice” their egg open with? … I was told once that some reptiles are born with one tiny sharp tooth solely for the purpose of “slicing” open their egg. And after they make their big debut into the world, their lil sharp tooth will then simply fall off over the nxt day or so… Whether this is true or not, I have no clue! Lol that’s why I’m asking. Thanks BEST WISHES For you all & all of your babies & biggies!

A slice of fried gold. To us, another sign of a garbage breeder is one who turns a blind eye to unethical things done by other breeders because they're a fanboy (wanting to do breeding projects or impressed because the breeder put out a new morph).👊🏾🪖🇺🇸✝️

when i first hit the show circuit i was not ready for it but i felt i needed to get myself out there and pay my dues. i didnt know i needed a table cloth. i had shoeboxes. slowly but surely i have upgraded everything. so sometimes it is not about being a garbage breeder, it is just not having the experience. i will go over and talk to the breeder and see where they are. those cues are turnoffs but i know from experience that it isn't quite so cut and dried.

There are alot of breeders that make themselves out to be reputable on youtube and are very good at marketing. I would love to call out a couple guys on youtube but it might upset the snowflakes in the industry and ruin our sales in the future. Lol can't even ask them to "ID" an animal without paying for a patreon membership. That's sad

This is all true but anything your selling always goes off market selling price. Example you cant sell a snake for 1000 when it can be found way less in price...Your battle is the market.

VERY good video. For me, enrichment for my snakes is a moral question. I breed in racks but provide large river stones common in my neighborhood. All my two dozen breeders use them constantly to crawl over and rest on letting them lift their heavy bodies off the flat plastic tub. They get to use their muscles a tiny bit and they are one big muscle that needs to grab and push against different surfaces. Stones are also excellent heat sinks 👍🏼

I get a stuck shed from time to time but I always soak them and get it off every time also I find that breeding my own rats and African soft fur rats and feeding them a high quality diet makes for more healthy animals I especially think ball pythons do better on ASF rats as well I feed my snakes once a week and always checking on my snake I am just starting out breeding but have always put effort into just my pet snakes they all mean a lot to me
