In world Z, they were trying to wake everyone up from a controlling government. In World A the message is the same--Wake Up. It's is in the lyrics and even written in the text in Jongho's eye. In their storyline, everyone is trapped in some way: by the past (Jongho whose injury ends his athleticism), by circumstances (Hongjoong who's separated from his family, Yunho who's lost his brother, and San who has no say in where he is because his family keeps moving), by expectations (Yeosang whose parents wanted him to be a model student), or by their own fears and issues (Seonghwa's perfectionism, Mingi's difficulty interacting with others, and Wooyoung's stagefright). They're all stuck until they reach their breaking point--screaming, acting out, making a different choice. Jongho breaks the monitor symbolizing choosing not to relive the past, Wooyoung sings into the mic though he's surrounded by people, Seonghwa gives up perfectionism (represented by trying to be a grand master) and puts his hand on Yeosang's as if to say you don't need to follow your parents expectations (Go, like Chess, invokes the image of a highly intelligent model student), and so on. So, the first step in becoming unstuck so you can move forward is admitting you're not okay. The second real world layer is about how we can be trapped by technology.

this was apart of their lore (which is very vast 🥲) so it's understandable why you don't understand the lyrics as much!! ^^ i've been stanning ateez for a little over a year, and sometimes i still don't understand 😭 from what i got from this mv (and i could be wrong) is that they're telling themselves to wake up from the brainwashing they're going through. i don't know if anyone has ever explained this to you, and i'll explain it in case no one ever has, but in ateez lore there are ateez themselves and halateez. halateez are from a world called 'z-world' and throughout multiple m/v's, you can see halateez when they wear the black hat and mask with chains on them (for a reference you can search halateez, i'm bad at explaining things 😭😭). in this video, you're show their storyline with z-world, the corruption of it, and how they escape it. throughout multiple songs (which might help for future reference) they mention the power of music and how they're going to wake up the world with it. "Are you gonna let it repeat again? You just need to dance with me now, The city seeks noise" - not okay (the first line referring to how the day's in z-world are always the same without emotions. the noise referring to their music) in short terms-- z-world is a dystopian world, and halateez escape it using music. i think they keep saying they're not okay because the way z-world would brainwash them was to show them things that traumatized them-- for example jongho was forced to watch people running (if you didn't know, jongho went on hiatus before because of a leg injury). when they transitioned from san to yunho they showed a car, which in the storyline yunho's brother died from a car accident. i think san was traumatized of the masked men that chased him? idk 🥲 i also know that the bird from it's you in the cage was in the m/v which could be a reference to yeosang, because in another song he mentions a blue bird trapped in a cage?? or that couldn't talk?? (halazia) something like that (i would look back, but i'm a bit lazy right now, i'm sorry-- the general gist is there 😭😭) but blue birds are mentioned a lot-- i don't know why... honestly, people should get degrees by studying ateez lore because it's so complicated 😭 sorry that the explanation started getting lazy at the end-- trying to remember all that info is hard 🥲 i'm also sick rn so it's even harder 💔 i hope this helped a least a little bit to understand though!! i'll try to help if lore comes up again, but i don't now if i can 😭😭 (loved your reaction btw, it was fun to watch ^^)

#THEBOYZ originally debuted with 12-members under Cre.Ker Ent Dec 2017 but later down the road one member HWALL had to keep being on hiatus because of his health issues. I remember correctly it was during their Bloom Bloom comeback preparations it was decided after being on hiatus so long trying to recover discussed it between with the boys, company & family it was best if he focused more on his health and so he made the hard decision to leave the group and company in 2019. With that said as time went on, he became an actor under his birth name HEO HYUN-JUN. *After a while Cre.Ker Ent merged with another agency and rebranded as IST Ent with THE BOYZ remaining as a 11-member group.*

It gets much easier to remember their names as you watch more of their content. Especially their short group series' like Flower Snack, The 100, or Come On The Boyz. The Boyz don't currently have a reality show like many groups do but they recently mentioned that fans would like to see one, so hoping we get something this year or next year. I've been a fan since their predebut days and they were always that talented, working really hard to hone their skills and perfect their trust and teamwork. If you watch their behind the scenes of their Road To Kingdom stages, it shows just how excellent their teamwork and passion for their art is. Also, and I'm sorry this is so long, if you'd like to get to know them better, I highly suggest the individual guides to the members by JellyKims called "An Introduction To The Boyz". It goes into their individual talent, personality types, and a bit of important history. It's slightly outdated since they were made 3 years ago, but it's still a great guide for new fans. They started with Sangyeon and went in order of age down to the maknae. They also made a guide for Hwall (he goes by Hyunjun now) who was their 12th member who left in 2019 due to an ankle injury that wasn't healing well, but don't feel like you have to know him since he's only in their content from 2017-2019.

matz is hongjoong's and seonghwa's nickname since it means 'older brother' in korean if i'm correct ^^ for the song matz, the lyrics talk about stalker fans ("if you want to put a gps, put it on a carrier not a carnival, you can be busy too") and old people who tell them to stop being so profane(?? idk how else to say it) i heard that the doctor line in matz was an easter egg to one of their variety show episodes (wanteez) where they went to the doctors, but i don't know if that's true cause i haven't watched it in a while 🥲🥲 fun fact about matz is that when seonghwa was training to become an idol, he was about to give up until his teacher told him about someone else who was working really hard and that kept going, and thats what made seonghwa continue-- when they made it to the debut line up, seonghwa found out it was hongjoong who his teacher was talking about seonghwa also auditioned to be a rapper at first if i'm not mistaken, but ended up being a vocalist-- which is why he's so good at rapping (and why he should rap more) there are times were you can see him covering mingi's raps if you look at their vlog content or live stages (since there was a time when mingi was in hiatus, and he would cover his rapping parts!! ^^) for jongho, he was actually in a kdrama before-- same as yunho, seonghwa, and san (if you want to watch it, the kdrama is called imitation!!) there isn't much to talk about since the lyrics are pretty straightforward, but i will say that i remember jongho saying that he's been wanting to do more ballads instead of the rock type beat that ateez normally has, so it's nice that's he was able to make his own song ^^ if you liked jongho's voice, he did a cover on his birthday of park hyoshin's 'wild flower' and it was beautiful. i feel like he was able to capture the original beauty of the song while also making it his own (but maybe that's my own bias talking 😭) as for coachella, if they keep us from looking at other idols, we should be able to keep other people from looking at them‼️‼️😭😭 for suggestions there's aurora which is a song on their softer side-- it's so pretty, i recommend it a lot!! their voices really shine a lot in this song if you want more of a song where you can look at the members 😭😭 i recommend inception (seonghwa was on a mission in this one...) but jokes aside, the vocals are also aclass in this song if you want a song where you don't care about vocals and you want to see more dancing (although i'm pretty sure aurora only has a performance video) there's hala hala which although has great vocals, is more rap and dance based-- or there's rocky which is a japanese release (although i know why you might not want to react to japanese songs due to copyright), it also shows their dance skills, and is more on the rap heavy side ^^ (both are performance videos!!) i'm sorry that this is so long, i just like talking about ateez 🥲 if you read all of this i would be amazed 😭 i hope you have fun on your ateez journey though!! ^^ i saw you're also a carat, and so am i, so i just felt the need to subscribe??? like carattinys are the best (in a non egoistic way😭😭) if you have any questions, you can ask me!! ^^ i'll try to help as best as i can on you journey as an atiny :D

There are 11 members in TBZ. Sometimes even deobi get overwhelmed with how many they are, it doesn't help when they get chaotic 😆💕 Jacob (short blond hair guy) was the one that did the high note. Him, Sangyeon (the one in the red jacket in 02:23) and New (super beautiful guy with the flowers background) are the ones that usually do the super high notes. They even sing after each other starting at 07:34. The "hi, hello, my name is what you want it to" line is like the continuation of the lines he sings at the beginning of Maverick and Roar (Maverick: "they call me Little Bad", Roar: "Don't call me like that", Watch It: "My name is what you wanted to"). By the way, in Maverick Sunwoo also wears short pants and you can notice his football player leg muscles (he has less these days). The Boyz like to play one bound, so at least he's still in touch with his skills. If you like, you can see Sunwoo in a football player outfit for their Halloween performance of Whiplash (the members chose to dress like their childhood dreams in that opportunity ☺️) The one you said had mysterious eyes is Juyeon. You should see him in Breaking Dawn. Or Roar. Or The Stealer. Or drink It. Or... Yeah, he's gorgeous and when he talks it's like the most soothing sound ever. So smooth but also cute guy. He's very expressive in his performances, attention is drawn to him. Him and Q are the main dancers, they are shown together at 02:00. Q is an expressions king. And his dancing is fire (and he's so cute, like, how is he even real? He's a savage, too, our vampire squirrel💖). Both Juyeon and Q are usually in charge of dance practices. The Boyz are most famous for their performances (great vocalists, beautiful formations, lots of charisma, always in sync no matter how difficult the choreography is, dancing skills to die for). It's easier to learn their names if we know there are three main lines: Hyung line (eldest members): Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae. This line is full vocalists, half of them are lead dancers. 98'ers line: Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q. This line is half main dancers, half vocalists. Maknae line (the youngest members): Haknyeon (06:03), Sunwoo, Eric (red headed guy). This line is full of rappers (even when Hwall was still in TBZ; he was a rapper and lead dancer). &team is my #1 group atm and yes they're songs are all bangers fr. They have a small discography right now but all of they're songs are no skips. My favorite song of theirs is Dropkick. Please check out their extended version of Under The Skin, so much story telling in the 10 minute long MV but it'll be worth it to watch. Btw I've been with them from the beginning of &audition so watching them grow is a blessing. They deserve more recognition imho. You just need to dance with me now, The city seeks noise" - not okay (the first line referring to how the day's in z-world are always the same without emotions. the noise referring to their music) in short terms-- z-world is a dystopian world, and halateez escape it using music. i think they keep saying they're not okay because the way z-world would brainwash them was to show them things that traumatized them-- for example jongho was forced to watch people running (if you didn't know, jongho went on hiatus before because of a leg injury). when they transitioned from san to yunho they showed a car, which in the storyline yunho's brother died from a car accident. i think san was traumatized of the masked men that chased him? idk 🥲 i also know that the bird from it's you in the cage was in the m/v which could be a reference to yeosang, because in another song he mentions a blue bird trapped in a cage?? or that couldn't talk?? I remember correctly it was during their Bloom Bloom comeback preparations it was decided after being on hiatus so long trying to recover discussed it between with the boys, company & family it was best if he focused more on his health and so he made the hard decision to leave the group and company in 2019. With that said as time went on, he became an actor under his birth name HEO HYUN-JUN. *After a while Cre.Ker Ent merged with another agency and rebranded as IST Ent with THE BOYZ remaining as a 11-member group.*
Lol Im sure you know already TBZ / THE BOYZ consists of two Korean-Canadians (Kevin & Jacob) and one Korean-American (Eric, maknae); while the rest are South Korean.
It gets much easier to remember their names as you watch more of their content. Especially their short group series' like Flower Snack, The 100, or Come On The Boyz. The Boyz don't currently have a reality show like many groups do but they recently mentioned that fans would like to see one, so hoping we get something this year or next year. I've been a fan since their predebut days and they were always that talented, working really hard to hone their skills and perfect their trust and teamwork. If you watch their behind the scenes of their Road To Kingdom stages, it shows just how excellent their teamwork and passion for their art is. Also, and I'm sorry this is so long, if you'd like to get to know them better, I highly suggest the individual guides to the members by JellyKims called "An Introduction To The Boyz". It goes into their individual talent, personality types, and a bit of important history. It's slightly outdated since they were made 3 years ago, but it's still a great guide for new fans. They started with Sangyeon and went in order of age down to the maknae. They also made a guide for Hwall (he goes by Hyunjun now) who was their 12th member who left in 2019 due to an ankle injury that wasn't healing well, but don't feel like you have to know him since he's only in their content from 2017-2019.

matz is hongjoong's and seonghwa's nickname since it means 'older brother' in korean if i'm correct ^^ for the song matz, the lyrics talk about stalker fans ("if you want to put a gps, put it on a carrier not a carnival, you can be busy too") and old people who tell them to stop being so profane(?? idk how else to say it) i heard that the doctor line in matz was an easter egg to one of their variety show episodes (wanteez) where they went to the doctors, but i don't know if that's true cause i haven't watched it in a while 🥲🥲 fun fact about matz is that when seonghwa was training to become an idol, he was about to give up until his teacher told him about someone else who was working really hard and that kept going, and thats what made seonghwa continue-- when they made it to the debut line up, seonghwa found out it was hongjoong who his teacher was talking about seonghwa also auditioned to be a rapper at first if i'm not mistaken, but ended up being a vocalist-- which is why he's so good at rapping (and why he should rap more) there are times were you can see him covering mingi's raps if you look at their vlog content or live stages (since there was a time when mingi was in hiatus, and he would cover his rapping parts!! ^^) for jongho, he was actually in a kdrama before-- same as yunho, seonghwa, and san (if you want to watch it, the kdrama is called imitation!!) there isn't much to talk about since the lyrics are pretty straightforward, but i will say that i remember jongho saying that he's been wanting to do more ballads instead of the rock type beat that ateez normally has, so it's nice that's he was able to make his own song ^^ if you liked jongho's voice, he did a cover on his birthday of park hyoshin's 'wild flower' and it was beautiful. i feel like he was able to capture the original beauty of the song while also making it his own (but maybe that's my own bias talking 😭) as for coachella, if they keep us from looking at other idols, we should be able to keep other people from looking at them‼️‼️😭😭 for suggestions there's aurora which is a song on their softer side-- it's so pretty, i recommend it a lot!! their voices really shine a lot in this song if you want more of a song where you can look at the members 😭😭 i recommend inception (seonghwa was on a mission in this one...) but jokes aside, the vocals are also aclass in this song if you want a song where you don't care about vocals and you want to see more dancing (although i'm pretty sure aurora only has a performance video) there's hala hala which although has great vocals, is more rap and dance based-- or there's rocky which is a japanese release (although i know why you might not want to react to japanese songs due to copyright), it also shows their dance skills, and is more on the rap heavy side ^^ (both are performance videos!!) i'm sorry that this is so long, i just like talking about ateez 🥲 if you read all of this i would be amazed 😭 i hope you have fun on your ateez journey though!! ^^ i saw you're also a carat, and so am i, so i just felt the need to subscribe??? like carattinys are the best (in a non egoistic way😭😭) if you have any questions, you can ask me!! ^^ i'll try to help as best as i can on you journey as an atiny :D

There are 11 members in TBZ. Sometimes even deobi get overwhelmed with how many they are, it doesn't help when they get chaotic 😆💕 Jacob (short blond hair guy) was the one that did the high note. Him, Sangyeon (the one in the red jacket in 02:23) and New (super beautiful guy with the flowers background) are the ones that usually do the super high notes. They even sing after each other starting at 07:34. The "hi, hello, my name is what you want it to" line is like the continuation of the lines he sings at the beginning of Maverick and Roar (Maverick: "they call me Little Bad", Roar: "Don't call me like that", Watch It: "My name is what you wanted to"). By the way, in Maverick Sunwoo also wears short pants and you can notice his football player leg muscles (he has less these days). The Boyz like to play one bound, so at least he's still in touch with his skills. If you like, you can see Sunwoo in a football player outfit for their Halloween performance of Whiplash (the members chose to dress like their childhood dreams in that opportunity ☺️) The one you said had mysterious eyes is Juyeon. You should see him in Breaking Dawn. Or Roar. Or The Stealer. Or drink It. Or... Yeah, he's gorgeous and when he talks it's like the most soothing sound ever. So smooth but also cute guy. He's very expressive in his performances, attention is drawn to him. Him and Q are the main dancers, they are shown together at 02:00. Q is an expressions king. And his dancing is fire (and he's so cute, like, how is he even real? He's a savage, too, our vampire squirrel💖). Both Juyeon and Q are usually in charge of dance practices. The Boyz are most famous for their performances (great vocalists, beautiful formations, lots of charisma, always in sync no matter how difficult the choreography is, dancing skills to die for). It's easier to learn their names if we know there are three main lines: Hyung line (eldest members): Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae. This line is full vocalists, half of them are lead dancers. 98'ers line: Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q. This line is half main dancers, half vocalists. &team is my #1 group atm and yes they're songs are all bangers fr. They have a small discography right now but all of they're songs are no skips. My favorite song of theirs is Dropkick. Please check out their extended version of Under The Skin, so much story telling in the 10 minute long MV but it'll be worth it to watch.
