    I am tired of paying really high price and waiting an hour for oil change. Gonna try it this weekend. It's not brain surgery.

    Good video. I should point out that in Canada, Tundras come stock with 0W20 full synthetic oil. Do the American Tundras come with something different?

    Great Video, I can't wait for the TD-100 to come out in about 25 years! Can you imagine how much that will cost? Probably close to $15,000. And Roland will wonder why they just aren't selling!

    Hey man. There is a wire that is close to the oil Filter on the 1.8t engine... I accidentally pulled out one of those wires (hair thin wire) any idea on what it is?

    Hi I'm contemplating buying a TD-50. I need it to work in a live small gig set up. Have you had an opportunity to use yours through a PA or drum monitor as yet? Would appreciate your view. Noticed in a previous vid of yours the Bose L1 mode 2 does that work? Thanks! Very helpful vid.

    Well, U answered a question I had on the toms. I already assumed the mid could be mounted up higher but wasnt sure. Stock config of one rack and two floor toms seems stupid to me. Much rather hav two rack toms close together and one floor just a bit lower. Glad my assumptions of versatility were correct. Nice vid too!

    Where did you get the harness for less than $100? Everywhere I've been looking has them for $120-$250. I'm currently pulling ignition harness out and this video saved my life. P.S. I also have a chocolate lab lol Thanks for the video, Im sure it'll help me out a lot.

    Thanks for your comment. To answer you question I am unable to recall where online I purchased this harness but I do remember it took a long time to find. The local VW dealership did have a part number and that gave me a start. I elected to go with the full harness rather than the repair kits. To be honest the Canadian Dollar was much better then so I am sure that had an influence on the lower price. Good Luck with the repair and Thanks

    Tip for at 19:54 when putting the plastic piece on the filter to drain it. It fits nicely in an empty bottle of soda container so I put it in there before pushing it onto the filter...prevents any oil from making a mess on me.

    Theres the KD-A22 converter for the kick, why that ancient RT-30K ...

  • @paramonkey7
    @paramonkey77 жыл бұрын

    We choose the RT-30k based purely on value per dollar. I am sure you are aware that the KD-A22 costs $400plus in contrast the RT-30K is around the $100 mark. In addition a mesh 22inch head is around $50 and provides a very reliable platform for triggering the RT-30k. The combination has work very well and with the right amount of head tension and trigger adjustment I have had drummers that were very impressed with the performance. One short fall of the combo is that you do still get bounce from a plastic or wood kick batter. I am sure that the KD-A22 has addressed this with its padded kick head design similar to the KD-9 kick which achives the same result if bounce is an issue for your application. However, in this application it was not worth the extra cost. Here is a link to a tip that help with the decision to go with the RT-30K. kzread.info/dash/bejne/dK2lm9yhacqdkbA.html Thanks for you COMMENT In the next video you will see why the RT-30 works well for this kit. Stay tuned......

  • @pumpalBo
    @pumpalBo7 жыл бұрын

    Since you spent that amount on a TD-50 set, I assumed money are not a consideration LoL :) Joke aside, I too have some suspicious on the KD-22A regarding how it would feel. I had a KD-9 and wasn't impressed by the feel of it or the dynamics in triggering. Plus I think all that KD-22A thing is just over-engineered... If you go the DIY path though, no sense to buy a RT-30k at all (IMO) - you got the mesh, just lug-mount a piezo (with a Г- shaped bracket on a lug bolt from inside), put some stiff foam on top (Poron medium or soft is ideal, but a piece cut from a sanding block can do for the kick as well ) - that costs less then the RT30K and provides similar results.

  • @paramonkey7
    @paramonkey77 жыл бұрын

    Thanks so much for that input. I believe the key component is the trigger settings and head tension to making it work dynamically. With most Brains ,TD12 and up, there is plenty of settings to tweak. In the future I am looking at making and using DIY triggers as well as other components but for now my time is limited and for this project and I need a reliable trigger for now. Thanks Again

  • @paramonkey7

    To be honest, it is not really a switch but an option. The diversity of the Vdrums in Hybrid configuration, will give me many options from studio to stage. Stay tuned, the project is still on going and I hope to post more in the future. Thanks for your question.

    Own a 2010 Sequoia with the same engine in it. Seriously recommend that you run a higher viscosity graded oil for better high heat and high RPM protection, 20 weight oil is great for fuel economy but only that.

    no reset on the instrument cluster after oil change?

  • @paramonkey7
    @paramonkey78 жыл бұрын

    +Anthony Borghi Thanks for you comment. I have a bit of a story to tell. After reading your comment I spent the next few minutes laughing. Not at you or anyone else for that matter. But it brought back a memory from when I was racing. We built a car and in that Race Car we put in an oil gauge. That gauge was not very big and as a driver I never really paid that much attention to it. As time went on no matter how hard I tried to pay attention to the gauge while racing I never could; Mainly, because I was busy with driving the car fast and that was a handful. We invested a lot of money and time into to cars we raced so in order not to have a very expencive motor explode we dicided to put in a" DUMMY LIGHT". It was huge, red and would turn on when to oil pressure would go bellow a certain level. It was mounted right next to the oil gauge. After that I never had to look at the gauge, just wait for the light to come on. Funny its the same for the oil reset, but unlike the "DUMMY LIGHT" I never really needed one on any one of my daily drivers. This TUNDRA has NO oil reset and because I have time to check when my next oil change is I never really need it any way. Sorry for the long answer "NO".PS I hope you enjoy my story and your TRUCK.

    Key ON (don't start engine). Go to trip "A". Key OFF. Press and hold RESET button and turn Key ON. Hold RESET during count down "_ _ _ _ _" to " _ " and when Trip "A" reappears: Key off. You're done. :D
