    Speaking of animation, I would love to see a Zyuranger anime prequel series in order to better understand the characters and their world.

    This white Lionman was a great show, very beautifully shot. The story is intriguing, the hero is captivanting and bold, and the fights are well choreographed. The orange Lionman is also good, but the series was shortened due to low ratings, compromising the script.

    It keeps getting deleted due to copyright reasons. I've seen different youtubers upload this and sadly all met the same fate. Thank you for making this about this.

Your video is really cool! In Brazil, it was Lion Man (orange) who first came out on the now-defunct "TV Manchete" in 1989. In 1990, Lion Man (white) was shown incompletely. I had no idea that the main actor had broken his leg during filming!

    Don't be fooled by the trashy appearance of the characters: in Lion Man, the stories are very dramatic, innocent people die, the villains are cruel and the protagonists suffer a lot to defeat them.These tokusatsus from P-Productions from the 70s are excellent!

  • @JapanHero
    @JapanHero13 күн бұрын

    1000%! The dramatic presentation of the story in each episode, plus the accuracy they went for in depicting the setting and in-show conflicts, were excellent.

  • @fabiogams
    @fabiogams2 күн бұрын

    Sure. One of the best tokusastus episodes of all time in my opinion is one featured in the orange Lion Man series, on which the hero unsuspectedly killed the father of a kid who in response swears vengeance on him. That's one of the most emotional live action episodes of any media I've ever seen.

    So, in Japan the show Spectreman was called Gori the Space Ape? That’s wild! Gori was largely considered the villain over here. It’s like finding out the Superman comic book was originally called Lex Luthor.

  • @JapanHero
    @JapanHero13 күн бұрын

    So this series went through three titles! - Gori the Space Ape (episodes 1 to 20) - Space Ape Gori Vs Spectreman (episodes 21 to 39) - Spectreman (episodes 40 to 63) These changes followed the evolution of the story, which initially centered on Gori and pollution, but then slowly shifted to a traditional hero Vs giant monster theme.

  • @fabiogams
    @fabiogams2 күн бұрын

    As far as I can remember, the Ape was actually concerned with the pollution on earth. He was rather radical, but he may have been the hero of the show.

    One of my favorite 70's series. And even this series was so good that it was very frustrating what they did with Fuun, which was very weak compared to the original and very confusing at certain moments, unfortunately this type of audacity to take the setting out of the commonplace of contemporary Japan no longer happens. , so King-Ohger was a pleasant surprise in that sense

    I don't know why but there is something charming in janky, low-budget toku shows like that. It's a shitty situation to be in. I mean, look at Ultraman Powered. But there is something charming about these people doing their best to put the show together with their limitations. There is unique flare to them.
