The fact that they have no PPE ..... they even wear open toed sandles ...... is an awful example to others. I would pull the video and remake with proper safety equipment.

wow, thanks for posting this. is the propionic acid being used as a preservative here? also, how are you controlling the PH? I would have thought there would be some variation between each batch of ingredients that would need to be corrected for?

That seems so cruel to me to stretch a living animal until it breaks in half. Couldn't you have killed it first? I'm not sure if a fruit fly larva can feel pain but that did NOT look fun no matter how small he was

I'd love for you to see the alternate universe of what people would be doing to humans these days for therapy in medicine if we did not have the insight that we've gained via working on things like fruit fly larvae.

Hi, that was very infomative. Do you have any suggestions, as to how i can shake out mature eggs from a clumped mass of ovarioles? Say by using a special media formulation and agitation by pipetting? I need to assay for number of eggs in fly ovaries and takes a long time to manually sit and tease all the eggs apart. Thanks!

This was extremely helpful. thank you! I did that for the first time today but my larva were much more aggressive! How did you get it to stay in a straight line once you get a hold of it from one side. mine ATTACKED the forceps holding it.
