What has happened to leaderboard on Playstation? I remember you were the top player... I have come back to Thumper on PSVR 2 and I don't see you anymore. I am sixth in the Campaign + mode but I was not before.

I don't believe the leaderboards carry over to Thumper on PS5/PSVR2. That's alright, though. I was no longer the top player of Thumper as of maybe a year or so ago, though I believe that score was made on the PC version. I didn't do anything to protect my position on the leaderboard, so I'm frankly surprised it took as long as it did for me to be dethroned (two years, I think?), but I'm okay with it. It was time for someone else to shine. Maybe I'll come back one day to grind for top scores, but these days I'm just having fun playing other games to relax now that I have a lot more work responsibilities. It was easier for me to put time into this when I was just a Software QA Analyst with a predictable work schedule. Anything is possible, though. If I could, I would love to dedicate more time to this channel and put my face to the name. Time will tell!

I think I did the + levels just for bragging, bc if I remember right it's not even required for the plat.

I just got all S rank on levels 1 thru 4.. watching this I'm very worried about higher levels 🥴 But I'm learning a lot from watching this, you are an absolute BEAST! I haven't been doing the UP and Fly , then pound down move hardly at all. Now I know why the game is called Thumper lol

Wow, here I am in 2021, amazing run. Never managed to pass play+ level 9 but I remember my first time passing the whole thing and that ending always gives me chills. Great experience and one of my favorite games of all time

How do you stay flying for that extended amount of time (ps4)?

When flying, keep holding up when you hit another marker (with A, or X in your case I assume). Your flight will extend for much longer. To stay in the air through turns, though, you have to actually work at it...perfect turns only. Yes, it is as nerve-wracking as it sounds.

The video is 4 years old but I found that you can use the R1 on a PS4 controller like X for landing combos... it's awesome to have some versatility

Pretty weak run, you have a bunch of S scores in there. While this is only a joke, I see you're actually going for a No Miss/No Damage run! Now that's truly crazy. At this Plus speed boost I can't even see what's going on some of the time as a spectator, you have incredible focus. I recently beat the game and have been working on the regular Levels S runs. In the middle of Level 4 right now. It's really challenging, the game is forcing me to gain focus and reflexes, but I'm doing it. Playing Plus games where it goes turbo speed and the drums beat faster is pretty damn epic! The intensity gets the heart racing, and I often focus so intensely I pretty much stop breathing, and don't blink for a long time. I love how they made the bosses teach you a new skill -- boss is really challenging, you struggle to get past it. But once you finally beat the boss, the next level is chock full of the same move you just needed to beat the boss, so it's not a one-time-to-kill-the-boss skill. I love how they do that! Really great difficulty progression and teaching method. First time through there was such a huge jump in difficulty as the levels went on. It was most noticeable from Levels 1-7 to 8 to 9. Level 8 demanded more focus than all the previous levels combined, and level 9 did that all over again. I beat Infinity fairly quickly, but it required heaps of concentration in a completely new way. Was not expecting the level to mess with the speed of time. I love how this game has endless challenges, so much beyond the basic "Beat the game". It would be a good candidate for the only game you're allowed to bring to a desert island. Can keep improving your ability at this game for years.
