How do I get my we create to engrave and cut. I did 1 and it turned out perfect. The next one the laser hit the corner of the wood and quit. Now it won’t do anything. Yellow light comes on but doesn’t engrave or print. Did it get knocked out of alignment? Did it burn it out? I don’t know the answer. I have tried everything but I am new to laser and don’t know my head from a hole in the ground. Please help!
@@margaretdavis1630 could have knocked it out of alignment or could be a heating issue. Contact WeCreat support and they will help walk you through next steps
Do you cut your own wood or order it to size?
@@jharper74 I cut it
Should we put a coat of clear coat afterwards,?

what is the wirehead for? You said extra?
@@michaelherrera7145 yeah just an extra cable for the laser head.
Very helpful, thanks :)

I cant get past the log files and "Plate 1"that bambu sends from your printer. Think nobody has your prototype? How do you guys be ok with this? and still buying bambu? and yes even when you tell it to not use internet connection its still collecting and sending log files and your plate 1 info. to a amazon server!
I don’t care. I love my Bambu and I want to buy a second one. If you have problems with prototyping you can buy the X1E.
Most people don't care. And for people like you and me who do care, we just put them on an isolated vlan without no internet access. Works fine.
@@fidesachates1 Can something like a Pi hole trap the data?
@@st0mper121 that’s not it’s intended purpose. It may be possible to configure a pihole to block dns requests for the host the printer is trying to connect to, but this has many problems. One example is if it’s connecting to a cloud service provider, it’s unlikely you’ll want to block AWS. The isolated vlan or a specific firewall rule in your router is the best way to handle this situation.
Nice video. Could you mabye share the link for the hinged box?

Thank you and waiting to see the in-line fan work.
Okay - had to comment again. WOW! I am so getting one of these man. So are you using just PLA bud. I think I will need to get a bunch of colors. Do you have an affiliate link?
@@markcall9695 I am using just pla for right now. I don’t have an affiliate link right now unfortunately. I applied for one several weeks ago but haven’t heard back. I’m guessing they are too busy with the sale right now. But I definitely recommend getting one still as it is a very nice machine and has given me very minor issues only so far but I think that’s only due to my learning curve lol. I give this one my recommendation for sure.
Dude that is my next investment. So glad you got one so we can LEARN!
Eww brotha what is thaa
For what?
Just for fun
Thank you. It only took a few minutes to assemble my RA2.
You’re welcome
THanks for sharing this. I specifically was looking for what kind of foam I could cut with my glowforge. ANd… settings was a great bonus.
Thank you for this. I have had my Glowforge Pro for 4 years and have been considering this machine. I think this has me sold.
You’re welcome. Feel free to use my affiliate link in the comments if you’d like to help the channel out. Also check out the WeCreat users group on facebook I run. We have a great community there.
I hope that means they will get shipped out soon been waiting for months.
I’m sure they will
How wide can you do?
I cut my boards down to 16” but looks like it could be a bit wider still
I can't find your notes on your Facebook page 🤔
Unfortunately Facebook took the notes feature away. I made a facebook group called Fsc Glowforge settings that has the info now

How would you take that square ai image and make it round to laser a coaster?
Either add a circle cut over top and let the excess be wasted or erase using the image editor or using another program with more features
@FreshStartCustoms thanks for the reply. Can't bring the ai file into corel draw. Hopefully they will add a mask function soon.
A shame they didn't fix the bi-directional engraving on this new model.
The 40w has worse engraving qualities ?
You probably won’t notice the difference in most situations honestly but technically the 20w has a smaller focus point and could get a better engraving with higher detailed designs but it is unlikely you’ll be able to tell the difference most of the time.
I went to the xtool site. I ask me how i can make profit Out of that? The musicbox is 49$ , than the cutting time and shipping to the customer. IT must be Sold for 100$ and a assembled for 150$ to have some profit. WHO will pay this in the world ? It is cool no way, but Not for resell and profit.
At the time I wasn’t given prices but I believe they have some discounts for current members of their Facebook groups as well. This might help get the cost down for you.
I got a Basic unusued at $1500 last week! Love your videos!
Thank you. Nice purchase
Great deal. I love my Glowforge Plus however, due to unforeseen circumstances, I'm going to have to sell it. Would love ideas on where to list it.
My set focus is not set to being able to open set focus. Why is that?
Hmm not sure. You should just click the three dots in top left then click auto focus
Hey there, im interested on doing that on a pvc card
PVC tends to be toxic to laser engrave. I don’t recommend doing it with that and the laser.
What do you mean by score? Compared to cutting and engraving.
Score is a line that follows a cut path that only engraves the line but doesn’t cut. If you check out my channel I have made a few videos on this subject that will explain it better than text.
Looks great
Great video! Thank you 😊
You’re welcome
I just bought an S1. I’d have struggled a lot between it and the new Ultra had it been announced a few weeks earlier, but I think I’m still happy with my choice. The S1 was a couple thousand cheaper and still has a significantly larger work area. I think starting out, it’ll be a great machine. If it ends up making a significant amount of money, maybe it’ll pay for another machine later on. The S1 also has safety features that either F1 can’t match due to the design, particularly the auto-shutoff when the lid is up.
Yes the S1 is definitely a great starting machine to get, it is very close to my top pick as well. If it wasn’t for the speed of the f1 I would choose the S1 as my go too and the s1 wins out for size as well.
Now if you can get both at the same time!! Then you have a dream team. Portable and fast f1 for shows and stationary s1 and work space for big projects.
Thank you man! Like others said, this is exactly what I was looking for!
You’re welcome
Very cool. Thanks!

My biggest takeaway was SVG vs PDF. Thanks!

Thanks for watching
I’m brand new to this! Is there someplace for me to see how to use my own image? Thanks!
I believe I did a video on the original software it came out with but I haven’t made a new updated version yet
Can we do stars
Yea you can cut a star
How do you type your own text? "Hello" is getting old!
Double click on the hello text then erase it and type something else in
great video, can you possibly do a video on using the M1 to engrave on a curved object such as a wooden spoon or bowl?
M1 is not designed to do curved engravings unfortunately. They can only do rotary engravings such as cups for a curved object since it rotates in place on the focus point.
What if I want the letters cut out??
Then you just turn the black fill color off and add a stroke color to the outside of the text
What is the difference between score, cut, and engrave?
I made this video that will explain them better than I can through text, please check this out here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dICasquLhsLZdKg.htmlsi=RwMzTlQ5qUFZx7hV
You mentioned you did this with the glow forge, which one was used? Also, what’s the max height that the object can be on both machines?
I must have miss spoke if I said it on this stock specifically. But I have done this on both. The wecreat max height is around 6” and the Glowforge is about 2” with the tray removed for engraving only on both.
There's a rougher side of the pre filter material. Does it matter which side faces up?
I don’t think so
I bought a svg file from Etsy and did this but when I go to cut it says bitmaps can only engrave! my first laser help
It sounds like the file you have is a jpg or png bitmap of an image you would have to convert it to a vector to cut it out. Some files are intentionally an image only.
Nice video. Easy to follow and good basic information. Thanks!
You’re welcome
Thanks for doing this!
No problem anytime
Hey great video this helped a lot. Could you make a video going over a list of materials that can be used with the M1?
XTool’s new software 2.0 has a massive list built in now. I recommend downloading the beta version to see them all. I will try to make a video on it too
