    Yes, we found plenty of things to do on the extra sea day. We did a quiz, and I went to a talk by Clarendon galleries. Just a question. Did you claim for the missed port? I have used it toward a deposit for a summer break in France.

    I had heard about the steak that you cook on a slab and seen a couple of quick videos as it was delivered, but you showed it much better and clearer with the whole meal - thank you so much - it’s convinced me to definitely give it a try when we are onboard in a few weeks. Also thanks for showing the drinks menu and prices at the club afterwards. We haven’t gone for drinks package as not big drinkers, so watching your videos have a better idea of how much things will be. Another great video 👍

    Hi Paul, thanks again for watching! Yes definitely try The Beach House, the boys were all looking forward to cooking their own steak. They said it was one of the best they've had... and they've eaten a LOT of steak! 😂 We ended up leaving the Club House as it was a little too busy for us, great atmosphere with the live music but just very loud and lots of people! We ended up in the Emerald Bar but all the prices are pretty similar, especially for beers, wines and mixer drinks. I thought the prices were very good, I've heard that drinks from other cruise lines are more expensive, so better to get the packages from them. P&O are more like average pub prices in the UK so if you aren't big drinkers it probably would be better to pay as you go. Thanks again for watching, I'm glad it's helped you decide to try The Beach House! If we went again we would book this without hesitation. Well worth it in our opinion. 👍

    Hi Michael , Nikki & kids . Great vlog again , we’ve watched lots of vlogs on the P & O Norwegian Fjords cruises and yours seems to be the only one ,who have done the Atlantic Sea Park . So a couple of questions how much was the excursion and secondly would you know if it was possible to do it yourselves . Keep the great vlogs coming

  • @seetheworldwiththekids
    @seetheworldwiththekids14 күн бұрын

    @dazzaangie Good morning! 👋🏻 Thank you so much for watching the vlogs, glad to hear you like them! The excursion we booked with P&O was £42 for adults and £26 for children. You check which coach to get on on the board next to the lifts, jump on and takes you straight to the aquarium. I'd day it takes about 10-15 minutes. It then picked us back up at lunchtime. If you fancy doing the trip on your own you can either walk which is around 45 minutes I believe. Go by taxi, I'll add the link to book one in the description box above. Not sure exactly how much this is, but from what I've read should be around £10-£15. Or you could get the hop on bus. More expensive, but could be a good option to be able to see other sites on the way and back again. This is about £32 for adults and £16 for children. The tickets from the sea park are about £19 for adults, £9 for children up to 15 and a family ticket is about £145. All the prices are around about as they're dependent on the exchange rate but gives you an idea. 👍🏻 Links to the Atlantic Sea Park, hop on bus & land train are in the description box and I'll add the taxi link now 😊 I'd say it was nice that we booked it with P&O as all the planning was sorted and didn't have to think about it, just jumped on the coach that morning. But, I think we would have been fine to make our own way there, I think we'd have been confident in getting there and back ok. There's also public buses but read that they can be a little bit unreliable so timings might be a bit off from the schedule. I hope this helps and have a wonderful time! 🤩 ~ Nikki 🙋🏼‍♀️ Ps... sorry for the essay! 🙈

    Hi, Thank you so much for sharing your holiday. We go in august on our first cruise as a family of 3 in a similar style cabin to yours and we cannot wait to share these videos with our little one. Can you explain how the restaurants work please? For example the olive grove, is it included or is there an additional fee or is it for certain dishes? Do others work in a similar way? Thanks again! X

  • @seetheworldwiththekids
    @seetheworldwiththekids23 күн бұрын

    Aww thank you so much for watching and your lovely comment! I bet you all can't wait! Of course, most of the Olive Grove dishes were included apart from just a few items which had a small charge, not expensive at all. The Beach House and Sindhu you have to prebook before you sail and you pay a cost per person as a service charge/deposit so to speak. Then again, same as the Olive Grove, most items on the Beach House menu are included, there's just a few items like the lava rock steak etc that have a small fee on top. (Any extras just get added to your account which you can pay at reception whenever you like... some people pay it all at the end, whereas we settled up half way through our holiday just so we knew where we stood) At Sindhu everything has a small fee, around £5 for a main meal around £3 for starters and desserts. And I believe Keel & Cow, the Glass House and Epicurean are the same as Sindhu where dishes have a small cost, but we didn't get chance to try these this time. All the food in The Quays is totally included, we really liked eating here, more so than the Horizon Buffet. And we enjoyed all of the main dining rooms which are also included. (These are Coral & Pearl and the back on deck 7 & 6. And Aqua & Opal to the sides of deck 6.) On Celebration night we pre booked the Chef's Table, this is included and was very nice, the food was extra special. Charlie tried his best but it was just a little too fancy for him, I've heard if you ask your server they're able to bring children something different but I'm not 100% sure on whether this is true. If you have any allergies they're really good with handling those too, Charlie has a peanut allergy so if you go to the restaurant the evening before you can speak to them about it and pre order their meal and it will be prepared and cooked safely away from the allergen. I hope this makes sense and I hope you have a fantastic time! 🤩 If you have any other questions at all let me know, I'll try my best to help! ☺️ Thanks again for watching! 💕

    Hiya, there wasn't a cover charge for the Olive Grove 😊 We didn't have a drinks package in the end, we did think about it but glad we didn't as I don't think we would have got our moneys worth. We saw that the drinks were around the same price as they are locally here where we live so not too bad. We took some cans of pop with us and our drinks bottles from home and the little dilute juice bottles to make squash with. Then usually bought a drink in the afternoon and a couple in the evening. 😊

    We enjoyed our day in Stavanger. It was a common theme that all the phones moved on another hour. It took a while to sort it out. We found that the shops seemed very expensive to us. We were also in the atrium listening to the choir.

  • @seetheworldwiththekids
    @seetheworldwiththekidsАй бұрын

    I'm glad I'm not the only one who did that then 🙈 I just didn't twig on and thought time had just gone really fast! 😆 Mike and Spencer's phone were right though, I think their settings were set to automatically change when they switched their data back on. We didn't end up going in the shops unfortunately, we were going to get back off later on to nip in the souvenir shop but ran out of time after our dip in the hot tub. We did hear rumours Norway is quite expensive before we went but was happy with the price of the museum we went to. I think you can claim your tax back if you save your receipts which could be worth looking into, even on food. The choir were fab to hear! Thank you for watching Neil! ☺️

    Hi. We're going the same week as you next year! How busy would you say the ship felt? Also, were the bars mainly walk up, waiters come to you or a bit of both?

  • @seetheworldwiththekids
    @seetheworldwiththekidsАй бұрын

    Hi Richard! 👋🏻 Fantastic news! Will it be your first time on a cruise? Apparently the ship was at capacity, with it being the school holidays, but it didn't feel over crowded. On sea days at certain times the bars in the atrium were the busiest and being so made service a little slower but still got drinks served. I'd say the longest we waited was about 20 minutes. The odd occasion we did go up to the bar as we saw others doing it 🤭 but they move you to the side to take your order as I don't think they like you going up, they then ask where you're sat and they bring the drinks over. Our favourite places were the Crow's Nest and outdoor Infinity Bar at the back. Any question before you go, feel free to ask 😊

  • @seetheworldwiththekids
    @seetheworldwiththekidsАй бұрын

    Hi Neil! 👋🏻 Yes the Splash Zone was quite out of the way really. You're right the outdoor pools were cold! 🥶 We ended up in a hot tub a couple of times... much better! The round whirlpool ones, there's a bit more room for us all in those. We found a couple that weren't as busy and more out of the way to the sides of the ship on deck 17 and 18. Not as many people walking past as the ones at the back and on deck 8. 👍🏻 The indoor pool was very busy, Charlie only tried it once and said it was too busy for him unfortunately, he's like me though and doesn't like crowds too much 🙂 Thanks for watching Neil, Stavanger was fab! All being well, it will be live on Friday! ☺️ Have a lovely weekend! ✨️

    Yes, definitely, we are thinking of The Med. Did you go on any excursions? We went to the glacier and cable car, which was snowed off! How did you manage in an inside cabin with 4 of you?

  • @seetheworldwiththekids
    @seetheworldwiththekidsАй бұрын

    Yes we'd like to do the Spain and Portugal one or one of the fly cruises to the Med or Caribbean. I keep looking at them! 😄 I was a little apprehensive with the inside cabin before we went but it was absolutely fine. We coped with the space really well and didn't find it a problem. To be fair we didnt spend that much time in it. It definitley hasn't put us off having an inside again, plus it makes cruising more affordable and gives you extra pennies to spend on other things 😊 The balcony cabins did look lovely though! Trip wise we did the petroleum museum in Stavanger, the cable car in Olden, but bought our tickets on the day and we did the aquarium in Alesund with P&O. We enjoyed them all. 😍
