  Yesterday I played for hours with my boyfriend to Collective Unconscious, a Yume Nikki fan game made to be played with more people on Yume Nikki Online. It felt extremely lively. Full of people. Even in the worlds in which we found nothing, we'd eventually come across someone else. We'd find people who'd take us to the location of events or would show us their favorite nooks. All those dreams, designed by so many people, all of them so different, being guided by and meeting new people... We were sitting in a picnic blanket under some wisterias, two strangers, my boyfriend and I, just chilling. And I thought how crazy it was that Yume Nikki, a game about isolation, inspired such a beautiful MMO based on exploring dreams _together_. A game about the community of Yume Nikki. It felt so... fulfilling. It was like, hey, Madotsuki (or Kikiyama, if you wanna look at it that way), look what you made! There's a blooming community even 20 years after you first showed us your lonely world. Aww geez, this game gets me so emotional :((

  18:31 that proteus track is so calming but so gut-wrenching at the same time? i love the nature sounds that go along with it but at the same time, it reminds me of my childhood for some reason. how sad i can’t relive my childhood again.

  This music makes me feel different. Listening to her, I look back at my empty room, in which, it seems to me, I was locked up with myself for many years. Afraid to appear to the outside world, to be a drop of paint dissolved on a boring gray canvas, I create my world in this secluded place. Withdrawing into himself, plunging into the remnants of the past and my dreams. Am I really living?Or do I just exist?Do I see the world differently?Is what I see real?And then I hear the familiar sound of my clock. Tick-tack. Tick-tack. A sign that I'm still here. In my room. But what will help me distract myself, sink to the very bottom of my consciousness? And the answer to that is so simple... That's what I'm listening to. Right now.

  It helps me to immerse myself in my own world every night, withdrawing into myself.A year ago, I met Yume Nikki, Omori, Oneshot.They helped me cope with my depressive state for that period of time due to family circumstances, giving me a distraction from all the bad things.I've noticed this before, but damn...How much music can affect a person.It's amazing.Thanks for being able to listen to her.
