Thank yous so much for making this video, even arctic cat doesn't have one like this
I got 5000 miles on my stock drive belt. I can go any time now
I know that’s an old video. But it’s awesome thank you guys for sharing that. That looks super easy
Excellent video
Why the belt rip on that side
Check the belt😂😂 there was no belt it all brokey
Bolts don't loosen Overlapped Bolts? or do we need a specific tool?
How do u kno witch hole to thread the bolt in ?
Good video
Do I need to adjust belt’s tension? Seems like after changing the belt, my ATV feels to be a bit more slower like it does a much more engine brake. Also, it takes throttle a bit later compared to old. Talking about 2015 Can-Am Outlander L 450 btw It’d be great if you could give me an answer, also thank you. The video is very helpful I managed to change the belt myself.
I wish someone would show and easier way to get to the bottom cover bolts. They are a pain
Yeah you can take the skid plate off or just deal with it still on to get the bottom bolts. Either way it's a pain in the ass.
Hola. Cual es la medida del tornillo que uso?
Dice que el tornillo es de 8mm y que tiene que ser mas largo de 50mm, el pitch es de 1.25
Thanks man appreciate it
Thank you for sharing information and advice, will definitely buy your belt 😊😊😊
My belt is running in the same direction, but my wife isn't, what do I do?

Most likely it is a main bearing seal or input shaft seal leaking engine oil or transmission oil. There might also be a crack in the block or transmission case. We recommend taking your vehicle to a mechanic to determine where the oil is coming from. After the oil leak is fixed, thoroughly clean the clutches and replace the belt. The belt and clutches must be oil free to function properly.
Had no power/belt slip Took mine apart dark nasty oil all inside housing…what would my next move be?
This video is a big help on what I’m doing my 2011 outlander 500 xt
Another video by arctic cat shows having to remove both clutches to change the belt. According to this video that's completely unnecessary
Our engineers have found that if the clutch has the holes to thread in a bolt to open the secondary, then there is no need to remove the clutches. However, we suggest that you always follow the recommendations of the vehicle manufacturer.
Hi im about to try and do headgasket on mi 660r 2003... Any info would be much appreciated 👍
I'm sorry we can't offer any suggestions with this project. Best of luck and Happy Holidays!

Follow the instructions as shown in the video. You'll need a 22mm socket and an impact driver. It will be difficult without an impact driver but should come off fairly easy with an impact driver.
Every how many hours should i replace it ?
That’s a tough question to answer. It varies depending on how the vehicle is being used and the driving style. Typically at higher mileage, the operator will start to notice poor engagement, a drop in speed or having to give it more throttle than normal. This may be very gradual and hard to notice. On an Outlander with easy riding, if you have not noticed any issues, inspect the belt every year or on the schedule outlined in the owner’s manual. On bigger vehicles or more intense riding, you may need to check more often. Some riders need to replace the belt annually while others can ride for years without any belt issues. One way to monitor belt wear it to measure the width at the cord line when it’s new. A general rule is to replace the belt when it has worn greater than 1/16 inch (.062”) at the cord line. The belt is not “bad” at this point but you are likely not getting all the performance out of your machine.
are your belts american made
Yes. All Ultimax belts are made in the USA in Springfield, MO.
( YAWN ). that slow speech can cause severe depression. 😁
what does it mean if i get to the end and it starts slipping? stripped hole? this is my first time changing the belt and i bought it used😐
I don’t understand your question. Please send your phone number to [email protected] and I’ll ask one of our engineers to give you a call.
So I squeezed the belt to take it off but I guess I rotated it and now the new one won’t go on . What do I do?
Are you saying that you pulled the belt down in the secondary and when you took the belt off it snapped shut? Most are just like the Ranger shown in the video. You have to take a tool and open the clutch by the rollers. Some are like the turbo and you have to screw a bolt into one of the 2 small holes like in the Outlander video.
My 2005 650 belt red light is coming on and I can't speed pass 10 miles. It's sounding too forced after that 10 mph. Could it be My belt or does sounds like something else?
Your vehicle is in limp mode. You have to either take it to a dealer or look for online instructions on how to reset it. It will stay in limp mode until it is reset.

Where can I buy the belt for a 2007 Artic Cat 250?
Your 2007 Arctic Cat 250 uses our UA460. Type in your postal code at www.ultimaxbelts.com/dealer/search-by-zip to find a dealer near you.
When I try to take the nut off of the primary the clutch spins what should I do
If you are using an impact wrench to break the nut loose, a ½” impact should work better than a 3/8”. A pneumatic impact will typically work better than cordless. If this still doesn’t work, some people have had luck wrapping a ratchet strap around the clutch and tying it off so that it will not spin.
Thats the problem I'm having at the moment
Don't go more than half throttle fo.30 miles?? Really I hardly put that on my machine in 5 months..lol
That sure seems like a long way to break in a belt.
👍📽
thank you, and thanks for the white noise blast at 1:52
Sorry about the white noise. I'm not sure what caused the problem. We will try to correct.

The videos are only available in English at this time.
Nice video!! Now I know what size bolt to buy at the hardware store instead of buying can-am bolt $40 + dollars. Nice 👍
Cual es la medida del perno?
What are the torques on the cover
The torque specs are set by the manufacturer and vary by year and model. The spec is usually in the owners manual.
Thank you..
Well put together vid. thank you now to go try what they showed me TYTY!
Cool the other video had you take the pulleys off. Great video.
Well done video. Thanks.
Best video I saw for this job so far been looking for 2 days
Thanks Matthew. We really appreciate your feedback.
I wish all how to Videos were this straight forward. Great job guys!
What about when she's so ready she removes my belt and quickly throws it into the thickets?? Happens last year I ended up using my spare bungee cord, worked but a belt locater I could clip onto my belt incase she gets so hot again and throws my belt aside into the thickets
The procedure varies by make and model. Please follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
This is difficult to diagnose without seeing the drive. The cause could be a lot of things. Start by inspecting the belt and clutches for any sign of damage.
