Joey isn't taking her ride. It's one race that the team is using to hopefully identify some issues. It makes no sense to use him at a road course though.

AM Racing has Announced that Joey Logano will be driving the #15 this weekend at Chicago. Team hopes that Logano can help provide feedback that the team can use to improve on-track competition as the sport heads into the second half of the season.

@@jerryscray1789 There are more Cole Trickle drivers than Ryan Newman drivers and she is still a neophyte. Why is it when a woman driver comes in she has to perform like Dale Sr., or they suck? Yes, she was moved along too fast, but she was hired to bring new fans to a dying sport not to win the championship in her second year. People need to stop this she doesn't deserve to take a car from someone who deserves a ride crap when the sport is mostly populated my millionaire's sons who bought their seat. Hailey's dad has money, but she did at least perform well in the lower series first. Most of those kids I never even heard of and now they're cup drivers.

how many races... so far... has the #15 had engine problems, pit crew errors, tires shredding, spotter falls asleep... It tales a Team and a Good Car to race... hell, AMRacing could put You in the car, but if the car is shit and your pit crew is shit, then You are not going to move up.

I’m sure other drivers do it as well. But everything she does is for her KZread content, I mean if racing doesn’t workout she has KZread so people can still see everything she’s doing.

I believe it is all NASCAR... they need women in the sport but there is a strong glaring look from NASCAR that they had better not do good. I think Hailie is being used... she is like a cash cow for NASCAR. like giving you a nice shinny gun to protect yourself with nothing but blanks to fire. they give Hailie a nice shinny car to drive, but were told to keep her mid pack.

Communication sounds better between her and the crew chief. Her best lap was a 32.5 and John Hunters was a 31.5. SVG was at 32.4 finished 15th and Kvapil at 32.3 finished 12th. Starting that far back and the car that far off at the beginning is hurting a lot.

I’m keen to see HD succeed but your comparison is a great example of cherry picking the data. For the majority of the 180 laps the lap time differential between the 15 to the 97 was .4/.5 second. That’s a significant margin. SVG was also able to move forward after starting not too far ahead.

@@Gravy123-kp5ou I wasn't cheery picking. SVG and Kvapil both were about to go a lap down at the end of the first stage. She did. That made a huge difference. At the end of the race SVG was 24 seconds back from the leader and Kvapil was 19. Not cheery picking. Just meaning her best lap times was not that far off of theirs.

The reason the 88 and 97 could move forward waa because their pace was consistently better than the cars 15-30th place for 150 out of the 180 laps. In fact SVG lap times in the 3rd stage were very close with AJ. Also the 15 got the lap back.

@@Gravy123-kp5ou Not sure how else to explain it to you but keeping pace with AJ who finished 7th 15 seconds behind the leader and Kvapil 19 and SVG 24 seconds back is not cheery picking anything. She got the lucky dog pass yes. All I said was her best lap was 1 second off John Hunters, 1 tenth off SVG and 2 tenths off Kvapil.

Talent pool for non-drivers is extremely shallow (it’s bought up by all the large dollar teams). I would bet that on Hailie’s team - there could be a high percentage of employees where this is their first time with a team…in a series…that pit stops are required. They may have 15…20…years in racing….but this, is their first, second or third year in a ‘pitting’ series. Tough adjustment.

Numbers don't lie. Her results are way worse in the same equipment as they ran last year with Brett Moffitt. It is not the car, the crew, the crew chief or whatever else you want to blame it on.
