Lol hopefully the bugs weren't too bad!
Great video of a place definitely on my to do list! I would love to see one of the ancient copper mines there. Thanks for sharing

Pretty good hopefully I’ll bring your fishing pole with you next time
Haha yeah, seems like when I do bring my fishing pole then I don't use it.. I just carried it on a 4 day backpacking trip and didn't get a chance
I’m not sure where you went to

Great video! Thanks for the views of Monument Rock. I haven't been to the island since the fire. I was camped at Merritt Lane for a few nights while the fire was still small. I have hiked Lookout Louise on many of my kayak trips. It gives a view of where we have paddled along the north shore. Monument rock was always difficult to see even though I am basically right next to it. We didn't hike Lookout Louise that trip because of the fire. We paddled to Chippewa Harbor and spent a weather day when the fire blew up due to strong winds.
You get to so many great places!
Absolutely loved your videos of Isle Royale National Park! And loved showing the hidden gems that the island has to offer. Loved your enthusiasm and appreciation of everything the island has to offer!!
I'll be back! Thanks to you for showing me around!

❤ good morning 🌄!!! Thanks for the Video. It's so cool to see a video of you walking around a place my grandfather helped build so many years ago and it's still there!!! We have black and white pictures from his time when he was there. They were I believe 16 years old at the time. Can you imagine the adventure he must have felt??? Thank you so much, you're the best

Epic adventure!!!
Yes, it sure was!
Wonderful representation of the ISRO!
Thanks to my wonderful guides who made it even better 😄
Thanks friend for the cool video of Isle Royal. My grandfather was stationed at Rock harbor to build the docks and cabins from 1933-1935. Pretty cool that you got to see it, someday I'll go if I can find someone adventurous enough ❤
Oh wow, that's awesome! You should definitely make the time and go.. I can't believe I waited so long to get out there myself.
very cool, have fun!
Thanks! You too!
You were probably bitten by a small spider and it can be very painful. CVS and Amazon have a topical benadryl salve that works quite well. Walmart carries a good mosquito repellant that doesn't contain Deet. Can't remember the brand name but it works. After forgetting something every time I camped, I finally made a checklist and keep it in a backpack that I use for camping. As long as I remember the backpack I'm good to go!
Thanks for recommending the topical Benadryl! I'm adding that to my list
After I retire on Aug.30, 2030, I'll certainly spend more time in UP.
How were the road conditions to Keystone Bay compared to High Rock Bay when you went last year? Did you see signs to Keystone Bay from Mandon Rd or did you have to use an offline map app to get there? Think a person with a Subaru Outback can get to Keystone Bay?
I'm sorry that Im just seeing your comment. The road to Keystone last year was definitely passable for an Outback. There were some big dips but they were not mucky, just had to go slow to keep from bottoming out. We were very surprised to see just a regular passenger car make it's way out with no problem. There were not signs telling you where to turn to Keystone and we ended up going the wrong way for a bit until it dead ended. We haven't been out there this year and have had quite a bit of rain, so my concern might be how high the crossing is at the beaver dam more than anything.
Creepy😮
The shells are invasive Zebra Muscles. Years ago we never had them at all
They are here in the Manistee Forest area too! Biking through the woods is like riding through a never ending web, ick!
They r starting here on Michigans West Coast here in GH
Oh no
Very nice I’m coming to the u.p.this fall can’t wait I want to see it all especially the keweenaw
I love the fall waterfall hikes.
Dad's young at heart. Great family fun. Outdoors has some much to offer. My mom got my into the outdoors, she's gone now, but memories will last forever.
Sorry to hear about your mom, my mom is who first got me into camping, skiing, etc too 😀
I bet that was a spider bite. Wow super cute with your glasses. Somores are the best. Enjoy your adventure.
Thank you 🤗
love this !
That music sounds like Michigan's own Sufjan Stevens
Hi gypsy, I plan on camping in the U.P. this summer (I'm a troll). Where was that pool with the steam room? Was that a Big Erick's campground? There was a really cool campsite I seen last year while visiting my brother in Marquette. Looked like it was on the side of a ski resort and they had mountain biking. I wasn't into camping then I'm returning to check out the mountain bike trails. I think it was on 553. Anyways have you tried the mountain bike trails? Any good? Thanks for the video.
Was there in 2018. Geart place .
Curious if the trail to that cabin is flat / calm enough to pull a wagon or pulk of gear? Loved the video!
From what I recall, that trail is pretty easy. You may want to check with the park office though, some trails do not allow camp wagons/wheels on them.
Hey you showed up on my feed. great video. I am a fellow yooper as well. Subscribed
Awesome! Thank you so much. Happy trails ☺️
