They should still be manufactured today. 70s action man the best but those reproduction ones for the 40th anniversary look pretty naff cheap looking. Other day thought they should have brought out the steam locomotive and train driver action man. Suppose then you can always make one if your good working with your hands maybe out of wood. Or why not old steel saucepans by removing the bottom of the pan cutting them apart then moulded into shape of the boiler tank and weld in place Suppose it could be done if you got the right tools to work with

I had a 1973 Action man green Beret with material beret had it for years. Wish I still had that toy. He'd be in the cabinet now. I could kick myself giving it away along with chieftain tank, cannon and boat. If I knew then what I knew now I would have started collecting these action figures along with uniforms and accessories in 1980 with my wages

Early years of last year I picked up an 1982 Action man talking commander with eagle eye. Week ago called into a vintage toy shop. Thought I'd pick up one came back with 2. And saved money. A 1973 Action man Field commander and field radio boxed. And a 1992 G.I. Joe. US army soldier unboxed both in perfect condition. G.I. Joe missing a few items backpack pistol knife and case.

To the absolute diamond who posted this footage, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!!! I've been trying to find footage of this match for years to show my kids. This match was before I was born, but I've heard the story so many times. My dad was really good enough to have gone pro untill, when at the try outs for ( I can't actually remember who but I want to say Nottingham ) he got an elbow to the nose which crushed his nostril, after which he was ruled out on health reasons. My dad lived for the game. He knew he couldn't play so did the only thing available, and became an official. He just wanted to be involved. In this video he is living out his boy hood dream of being in a match at Wembley. Ok not in the way he originally had dreamed, but that's him, running the line, far sidevfacing the camera. I Still have the programme, sighed by both teams, his Wembley medal, and the jersey he wore and the official picture. Yeah I know they can be the most hat d men in football but to me he was a boy who never gave up on his dream.

My older brother had these. I used to look at them with "awe". These and "big Jim", I later had gotten a scuba diver "big jim". I really liked that figurine very briefly. I believe it had gotten stolen or so I thought, I had later learned that a man from a House renovations crew had discovered it and had taken it for his kids.

I had the field radio and when first got it as a Christmas present I thought they were in Chinese, so put it away and forgot about it. Months later I found it and found that under the battery was a speed control once I adjusted that it worked perfectly.

I have my original Hasbro scuba suits, orange and black, the orange one is still good. The black rubber actually fused to the doll and cannot be peeled off. It looks good from about 5 feet, because I used that black plumbers tape that came out in 2004, that does not have adhesive. The stuff that sticks itself. . . it peels off okay. . .but I leave it on where the rubber dried and cracked. . .the black tape seams almost disappear. . . .it's nowhere near "mint" . . so I keep it up on the top shelf. . where nobody can look close.
