  I appreciate you taking the time and effort to post hotel reviews on YT. I try and stay at a different hotel whenever I return to Pattaya. I will have to add the Best Beach Villa to my list.

  I stayed at the Grand President about 10 years ago. The second tower of the Grand President is now the Aira Hotel. From your video, the Grand President did a major renovation especially in the pool and fitness area. During my stay, there was no fitness room except in the second tower. The swimming pool was very, very small. It was more of a soaking pool than a "swimming" pool. My biggest disappointment back then was the WI-FI was really bad. I had to stand near my hotel room door to get a WI-FI connection. Hopefully, the weak WI-FI has been corrected. If so, I might consider the Grand President on my next visit to Bangkok if the room $$$ is reasonable.

  Yeah, I used to stay there between 2008 and 2013, when there were monthly deals for 27-35K baht that included breakfast. They also completely renovated Grand President Tower 3 and renamed it Eleven Hotel. Now they have also closed Tower 1 for complete renovation. I will make new video when it reopens.

  This is guest friendly hotel. No extra charges for short term guests, if you stay alone in the room. Joiner must have valid ID and be over 20 years old. It's same for everyone.

  The beds are this hotel were harder then i thought theey were. and i stayed in the nicer rooms...price is worth if its below 35 USD a night..way better hotels in pattaya

  @@JohnDoe-rk1ck page 10 is nice, but high season prices are ridiculous. The Stay hotel , which is next door has softer beds, large rooms and a good breakfast. These hotels are owned by the same family

  Guest friendly or girl friendly simply means that the hotel does not charge an additional fee for bringing guests into the room for short time or overnight.

  Personally, I think Blue Sky has better rooms, balconies, and bathrooms. On the other hand, Best Beach Villa has a fitness center and a sauna, whereas Blue Sky does not. Both have solid swimming pools. Of course, you can stay 1 night in both and then choose the best option for you as they are located next to each other.

  I was a big fan of blue sky hotel. But when I stayed there Jan 2024 , the low frequency noise from the new club nearby, is a big no to me. I was in the room 709.

  Hotel is 100% guest friendly (No extra charges for bringing guest to rooms). That wording in the book should be "no unregistered guest allowed in hotel rooms". Guests must leave/show ID or passport at the front desk.

  i think every room is guest friendly in central pattaya , I stayed at the hilton last month it was no charge guest friendly.

  Thanks! As always covers everything you need to know before booking a hotel. Looks good for the price. Personally, the safe doesn't hold a medium laptop, for me that's kind of a bummer. Travelodge 11 is about the same price and the pool and gym are nicer; so I keep it at my first option in the Sukhumvit area.

  I stayed there last fall for a few nights. It was ok, nothing special. Be careful when you check in, they will try to put you in the rear building in a run down old room when you booked a much larger and better room. Many hotels will try this trick if they think they can get away with it. On a positive note, the breakfast was decent.

  I also go to use a gym in pattaya. But in a 5 minute walk you have 3 public gyms near areca lodge. 7fitness 2nd road, sun fitness at soi buakhao and cocos gym at the 4th floor of mikes shopping.

  They will weight carry on bags during check in/baggage drop. They will also check your bags at the boarding gate, especially if you are traveling with light ticket (economy superlight) that only allow for a small carry-on bag. If the carry-on bags are too big or the combined weight is clearly more than 8kg, they will put them in cargo and charge 60€. They are quite strict nowadays.

  I don't believe the rooms have been soundproofed (as in high-end five-star hotels). Its possible to hear sounds from hallways and possible from rooms next to you.
