Ambassador Hotel Bangkok is an extremely large (760 rooms) 3-star hotel located at the popular Sukhumvit Soi 11 Bangkok. The hotel is quite old as is build in 1974 making it an almost 50-year-old hotel.

Ambassador Hotel Bangkok price per night?
Prices for the cheapest rooms start from 25 USD per night (in the low season) but can go up to 50 USD per night in the high season. The good value price for this hotel in Sky wing is around 30 USD per night. I would not pay more than it, as there usually are better options for that price range. For standard wing rooms which are usually even worse condition, I would not pay more than 25 USD per night.
Ambassador Hotel Bangkok location
Ambassador Hotel is located in popular Sukhumvit Soi 11 just 200 meters away from the NANA Skytrain station. Here you will have easy access to Bangkok's Skytrain system. Soi 11 is a popular street among tourists and there are multiple nightlife opportunities including high-end and low-end restaurants. Also, you can easily walk to Soi 4 (Nana) and Soi Cowboy.
Ambassador Hotel Bangkok service?
Well, at least it's currently understaffed if you want to say it nicely. Because of this, it seems that at least some of the staff seem tired and suffering. If you are used to European or Thailand hotel standards, don't anticipate getting equivalent service here.
For simple check-in, it can take hours of waiting time if you arrive at peak check-in times (1-2 PM). But yeah, these things can be temporary and service can improve in future.
Ambassador Hotel Bangkok breakfast?
Breakfast is available, but not recommending it, as it's quite expensive 450-650 baht depending on current servings. Nowadays it is quite chaotic and just not great value for money. I rather just drink/eat at Burger King located downstairs or SOI 5 Foodland.
Is Ambassador Hotel Bangkok guest friendly?
Yes, there will be no extra charges if you bring a guest into the room.
Does Ambassador Hotel Bangkok have a swimming pool and fitness center?
Yes, the swimming pool is located on the third floor of the standard wing. Shown in the video (08:05). the Ambassador hotel has also a great old-school fitness center with retro equipment (working condition). These pieces of equipment are from somewhere from the 70-80 century which provides a great nostalgic gym experience. Also, this hotel has multiple interesting things to see like parrots, gardens, a Thai boxing ring, fish aquariums (lobby), and multiple different restaurants and coffee shops. The also has a Muslim prayer room.

Is Ambassador hotel good value for money?
Well, the hotel can be quite an interesting nostalgic experience. If you can get it cheap around the 25-30 USD range I would first try staying a couple of nights here. Then if you happen to like the atmosphere and happen to have a good room then you can book more nights.
