    I can see both sides of it. As an Angler I get cranky when another boat passes by me to close or even stops and starts fishing around me and if I am being honest it is hypocritical of me to think "You have the whole lake to fish why are you beside me?" When that is obviously what these dock owners are thinking. I am waiting for the day someone comes out onto their dock and starts casting under my boat 😂

    You guys keep mentioning Dad's credit card with these young up and comers, you're forgetting a lot of them are making a better living on Social Media by posting fishing content and the Derbys are just content to them. Don't kid yourself, whether you like it or not they know this new age business model and are crushing it.

    I will never not have those Boat Buckles again. They are so convenient to strap the boat down regardless of the size of boat.

    I agree Jamie I have been fishing Barbless in MB most of my life and can honestly say Barbs don't make much of a difference. Of course Saltwater would probably a different story but for the sake of conservation I have no problem with it. Congrats on 2nd great job! 🤘

    Missed the live coverage, just curious why'd you leave the motor running? Good to see hammer sticks like you lose your composure on giant smallies just like the rest of us lol. To be fair its not like most guys are fishing smallies without nets very often.

    @@jamiebrucefishing every now and again while I'm practicing I will screw around and try to land big smallies by hand when I don't care about losing them. Pretty much a replay of what you had going on during this video. And that's with not caring if I land them or not 😂.

    I will say I'm not entirely sure how that style of transom saver is actually effective. I could see how they stabilize the position, but they're not taking any weight off the boat.

  • @connormartin1357
    @connormartin135714 күн бұрын

    @ZacharySailor I agree, my understanding is it locks the motor in a more solid position when trimmed up so when you hit bumps the motor doesn't gain any momentum when bouncing. The biggest thing with that style of transom saver is it helps prevent any damage to the cylinders of the trim system.

    I just bought a New 2024 Lund 1875 Pro V bass. First boat I have owned. Not happy with a few things. The seats are of poor quality, the instrument switches are cheap looking, and its hard to figure which position to put them in, speedometer does not work, there is not a cleat mid- boat on either side, and a poor factory design is that if you leave your live well door open and trim your motor up all the way up(Putting the transom saver on) you hit the door to the live well….lessson learned piano hinge wasted and door bent.

  • @tommueller509
    @tommueller50917 күн бұрын

    In my experience running dedicated power wires is unnecessary on newer Lund ProVs, along with their other higher end models. They run typically 8ga wire direct from the battery to a fuse panel under the helm, with open fuse slots for a chart plotter at the helm and then from there they also run 12ga wire up to the bow for bow electronics. In the event someone is running 3+ screens or live scope we will occasionally run new bow power, but the cables from the battery to the helm on a Lund proV are actually completely overkill and extremely well designed.
