Fellow tinkerer here. Only thing I can tell ya is don't sand or grind lead. Lead dust is awful for you and worse for your newborn (congrats by the way) I like to cut my flashing or spru off with a utility knife. Lead is soft enough to cut off with a good blade. Comes off in chunks instead of dust. Love the tinker vids man.

Great video Jamie!...thanks for sharing....love to tinker myself....only tip from an old guy who has had a few close calls....think about some eye protection bud...those dremels and even pouring can have some freak events....and your eyes and of course those magic hands of yours are money makers....

When melting lead inside to make jigs or projectiles we use a kitchen range hood to vent fumes outside. They’re easily to install and very effective at removing toxins.

Good stuff. You let the cat out of the bag with using this mold for walleye. Been doing this for a few years now and they’re my favorite live bait jig. I’m also jealous of that old RCBS pot you have there. Wish I still had mine.
